dirtycoin:how? list 3 gsd characteristics you can see |
at 3 months the dog is still a puppy, you don't need to do anything to make it aggressive at this age. Caucasians are naturally aggressive, just give the puppy time to grow you'll see |
nelsonose:1. puppies usually inherit the temperament of their parents so if a dog is very aggressive, the probability of it having aggressive puppies is high 2. different dogs have different growth speeds so it depends on the dog and the environment. some start at 1year, some start at 2months 3. the puppy will already be showing signs of aggression, it may not be focused but the signs will be there. it may start trying to snap at it's litter mates or barking at strangers, some even try to pick fights with their litter mates for no reason, things like that |
mhd5757:speak for yourself, no wonder your threads always go like this ; "my dogs are driving me mad", " does your dog do this?" , "my dog pees a lot" . your dogs aren't even potty trained but you've jumped to making them "aggressive and untrusting". their are basic things you need to train your dog in personally having a dog isn't just about barking and biting |
1000angstroms:and the person is proudly saying that the dog was so aggressive that they couldn't mate her as if it's a good thing ![]() |
mhd5757:I don't know why Nigerians don't like accepting something, do you think police dogs are chained throughout?. they are trained and socialised properly, having a dog that you cannot take on a walk freely or a dog that tries to attack other dogs or everyone isn't something you should be proud of. no professional dog trainer will advice you to chain your dog up for months to make them aggressive, I bet you if you take your dog outside it's house to a place it has never been before then let a stranger attack it with knockout you'll see how your dog will drag you and run. fear aggression is not real aggression, a good guard dog should be able to recognise and differentiate between a threat and a visitor. barking anyhow doesn't make it a good guard dog, they are just acting like that because they are scared or nervous because they don't see people regularly if a group of people come or someone that is not scared of them attacks, you'll see how they'll back down. because it attacks and barks at children that come to fetch water doesn't mean it will have the mind to attack 2 grown men holding guns. I've seen a scenario were the guy had 3dogs, 2gsd's and a cauc. he trained the gsds by himself while the cauc wasn't his, the gsds are only released at night while the cauc was well trained by his previous owner. one day, 3 men infiltrated the compound to rob and all 3 dogs came out and barked ferociously. to cut the story short, shots were fired and guess which dogs ran to hide in their kennels(where they are locked up everyday)?, the gsds! the cauc still stood and attacked the intruders and chased the intruders away even after it got shot( it wasn't lethal and the dog survived). fear aggression isn't real aggression, a dog with fear aggression is a danger to others and also itself, train your dogs and also socialise them, we see guard dogs in other countries being well trained, I don't know why Nigerians feel like ours should be chained for eternity for them to be good guard dogs |
vincentjk:was he vaccinated against parvo? what were the symptoms he was showing? you have to check all these things so if it was something contagious it won't transfer to Gustaf.... I'm so sorry this happened |
mhd5757:living things shiit, it's part of life when you were buying them didn't you know dog's poop? I don't know why you're angry that they're doing it. when you buy adult dogs that haven't been potty trained that's what happens. chaining them won't stop anything, don't harass them for doing something natural, you'll just make your dogs sick and frustrated. sometimes it's what you feed them also plays a part in this |
vincentjk:what happened? |
metroid:boerbel features are the coat, blackish mouth and light flaps on it's face, paws local dog features are it's red eyes, chiselled face and it's body stature is not as stocky as a boerbel's |
mustykay:you should deworm every 2 weeks they look like they have worm infestation that's why I asked. have you noticed any change in their appetite or behavior? |
when last did you deworm the dog? |
are you deworming them?? |
Lloydthesaint:it's not a rott head....the dog has no rott colouration. it's a boerbel local dog mix |
I don't know were you guys are seeing the rott on this dog this dog is obviously a boerbel and local dog mix |
TIDDOLL:I think you should breed her with a straight back then, the physical difference between a straight back and slant back are noticeable.... you might just end up with puppies that look like they have leg deformities then you'll have to be explaining to buyers that they are "semi-slant back". Freya is a very lovely dog don't mix her genes and create inferior puppies, breed her with a straight back so the standard will still be there |
Majikals:nothing in the article said a dogs temperament can be changed with food.....yes some hormones can affect dog behavior but the dog's natural temperament is always going to be there. it's the same with humans, their are drugs you can take that will make you feel more energised, happier, hungry, relaxed e.t.c it doesn't still change the person you are, after they wear off you'll still return to your natural behavior giving a dog alcohol can trigger some undirected aggression but it still doesn't make the dog an aggressive dog. do you get me? even feeding a dog bloddy meat contrary to what people believe has no effect in the dog's temperament. in summary, if your dog is an aggressive dog, if you give the dog a product like "nutricalm" the dog will calm down but once the dog wears off, you'll still be stuck with your aggressive dog ![]() nutrition cannot change a dog's temperament, certain hormones can trigger certain behaviors but they are not permanent and the dog's natural temperament will still remain the same I read a lot BTW and I don't just believe rumours I hear from Nigerians that just guessed something and accepted it as a fact |
is Freya a straight back? |
Majikals:it is a fact and not a theory that no kind of food can instill aggression in a species....we shouldn't even be having this argument. there is no new horizon for me to open my eyes to...this is just plain stupid. if you tell a licensed vet or scientist that the person will have a good laugh. it's not everything that hasn't been researched that has a probability of being true, you don't need a scientific experiment to tell you that humans weren't breathing out fire in the olden days....you just know it's a ridiculous claim. no food can make a particular species aggressive and that's an undebatable fact, don't just imagine something in your head and feed your dog and when the dog becomes aggressive with age or change in environment you'll blame it on the food you fed it. try feeding a passive adult dog furs de nunu and continue it's day to day lifestyle exactly how it has been and see if you'll notice any changes in it's temperament. |
Majikals:biology and sexual orientation is being researched because their is a relation and it makes sense that they'll be linked logically. which scientist in his or her right sense will want to research on how "fura da nunu" makes a particular species aggressive? it makes no sense because that's where logic comes in, not everything has to be debated or researched. I can say that oranges made my dog aggressive because I was feeding him oranges when he was a puppy and when he matured aggression kicked in. yes the dog became more aggressive with age but an ignorant person will say it's because of the oranges :-/ you see my point?, any body that has reasoning will know that that is a bullcrap theory, they is no kind of food that can make a particular species aggressive. good morning |
Majikals:what does that have to do with the topic? ![]() anyway,I would have typed it for you but since it's late and I don't have time here's the link if you can read understand it take your time ![]() https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biology_and_sexual_orientation lmao you really thought you did something |
Majikals:this is so ignorant, who told you fura da nunu makes dogs aggressive? what is the logic or biology around that? and so you expect him to lock up two *ESKIMO* dogs up all day and release them at night you do realise they are naturally pet dogs right?? |
Kelvin30286063:at 7months they are still puppies nah besides you encouraged the behavior by letting strangers pet and feed them when they were younger although Eskimo's aren't aggressive, restrict their contact with other people except your family the dogs will learn to recognise people as strangers when they reach maturity don't cage them or beat them for something that is in their nature that you encouraged, when they get older they'll calm down if you restrict their contact now |
Kelvin30286063:I'm very sure your dogs are puppies |
how old are they? |
bigmo1:did you socialise the dog? no because the dog started barking in it's cage doesn't make it a good guard dog. so I don't see the point you're trying to make. a dog started barking at everything after being locked up for months and you think it's a good thing? only knockout can be used to send that dog running back to it's cage to hide. the dog is barking because of fear and anxiety not territoriality, if you're faced with a serious threat the dog will go back to it's cage which is it's territory to hide. boerbels aren't even frequent barkers so for your dog to be barking like that it shows how unstable it is. |
bigmo1:this is so wrong, the dog was scared because of lack of socialisation and now you've given the dog fear aggression and an unstable mind congrats |
what breed is the dog? at 5 months old the dog is still a puppy so you don't need to rush anything where the puppy's parents aggressive? what kind of environment does the puppy live in? these are the kind of questions you should be asking yourself instead of looking for how to instill unnatural aggression |
youngest85:who is this one saying? you obviously don't have a dog or know anything about them don't take this man's advice ![]() |
the dog's pasterns don't look right the dog's pasterns don't look right ![]() |
it's best you continue with what the cute puppy is used to, changing her diet completely isn't a good idea right now |
