30 Things Nigerian Husbands Want And Expect From Their Wives:

1. Go and slim down. Do not let people take you for our mother when indeed you are our wife. We love to see you exercise and eat less.

2. Mind and control your tongue.

3. Keep the house clean.

4. Be hospitable, how you receive our friends and families matter to us. Make them feel welcome by coming out to greet them, serve them water if there is no drink.

5. Dress neatly and smart always, look good for us.

6. Do not disrespect us, we want to feel respected even with our imperfections, correct us with respect.

7. Treat us like a king, make us feel important and we shall treat you back as our queens.

8. Do not always claim right.

9. Be polite always.

10. Be quick to say "I am sorry".

11. Do not delay us when we have to go out together. Start getting ready well ahead of time and don't keep us waiting because we can be very impatient.

12. We don't like tension, make us smile and laugh around you and we will want to hang around.

13. We love good food, if you have to go to a catering school to make us eat well, please do.

14. We do not like nagging. When you make your request, believe in us to do it in our own time. No amount of nagging can change us.

15. Do not belittle or gossip us to anyone.

16. If there are issues that need be addressed, find a quiet time when we can talk, just the two of us not necessarily in the middle of the night when you're most likely going to disturb our sleep.

17. Do not prioritize others ahead of us, Make us your number one; Not the children, your friends, your family, your career, business, religion or anything around.

18. We love (S) so much, do not withhold it. Never use it as a bargaining chip.

19. Be disciplined and wise in spending.

20. Be our friend and stop acting like our mom.

21. We can be jealous, do not get too close with the opposite sex on Social media. Seek our consent before accepting a male as Friend.

22. Do not paint us bad to the children, help them love and appreciate us.

23. Do not leave the home and children unattended.

24. Accept and relate well with our family members.

25. Assist us in paying the bills, if you earn well.

26. Do not try to pry too much by reading our mails and responding to messages meant for us without our consent.
Stop snooping and stalking us on Social media. You are not snoop dog. Stop being suspicious of our female colleagues.

27. Stop answering our calls without our permission.

28. Smile always, even when you are exhausted from tending the kids.
Constantly frowning will scare us.

29. If you need our help, ASK. We cannot read your minds.

30. Stop asking to know how we spend every dime.

I think he is into confraternity. I think when an Eiye cultist(S.E.C) graduates from school, he moves to belong to another association referred to as (N. A. A. L). My big bro always do the gists with his friends back then in UNAD. And i have seen some stuffs written on a paper in his wallet , many years back.

The guy(big bro) left school in 300L and travelled out, without completing his studies...

Well, i understand that we handle things differently. Especially issues regarding emotion. I had similar issues back then, but it was something that had happened before i met her.

In my own case , my wife's aunty's husband has been having sex with her since she was in SS1 (about 15years old) and she was living with them. Imagine that kinda constant sex , over several years . And the man was about 34 years older than my wife. In other word, when she was 15 , the man was about 49. Lol!
I suspected (based on the man's lifestyle and wife's sexual frequency) but she denied it ever happened. After 3years , she told me that my guessed back then was very correct ... and she told me everything. I just smiled. But instead of hating my wife for what happened in the past , i stopped relating with the man(including greetings) . I just hate him for what he did to her at that age.

Op, if she is a good lady/ you have affections for her , then forget the issue of sex in the past and do the right thing.

But what you cannot RATIONALLY argue is that it’s not a world-class system.

Personally, I have warmed up to Sanwo-Olu (after initial suspicion), but abegi let’s not fool ourselves by pretending that the Cleaner Lagos Initiative was not massively and pointedly sabotaged (with disgruntled party apparatchiks and their foot soldiers actually dumping garbage on the streets every night), because a primary utility of persisting with the PSP system is that it allows for many “party men” to be “rewarded” with PSP contracts (basically, you pick up your contract award papers, take it to the bank, collect a loan, buy used trucks/compactors, and watch cash roll in). The CLI was not a whimsical Ambode policy, but rather it was the corpus of a comprehensive new environmental regulatory framework that was debated, went through all 3 readings and a public hearing, before being passed into law.

You are correct with the CLI being rolled out gradually. It would have made a huge difference. But the CLI cannot be said to be effective due to town planning issues and road networks in Lagos. There are so many places they wouldn't be able to enter , hence the services of PSP.
Back then, Lagosians would have to carry their thrash and drop them (no matter where they live) at a designated point. Most times , it's cumbersome to do , being who we are. As a result , Lagosians drop their thrash on the roads( major bus stops) closer to them. This caused a lot of problems that they (CLI) couldn't proffer solutions to.

I would have expected him to allow the PSP to also operate alongside the new ones. Observably, those CLI trucks don't come into the streets and this became a major problem. Quite a number of reasonable persons resorted to burning of thrashes , negating the proper disposal system and increasing air pollution

I actually saw the interview, and President Buhari specifically talked about the military(COAS) having earned the position. He went further to cite the dept. he served before he got the position and also criticized a number of citizens from different region for not joining the military on time ,to have enabled them rise to such rank where they will have the privilege of been appointed.

He said ,he needs someone that is well known and respected within the army to assume such mantle...
He didn't talk generally on all positions. I had expected Tundun Abiola to ask about other appointments he made ,which is not well balanced but ... I think they are taking it gently with baba

I don't believe that. It's better to use one of the dirtiest city in the world. During Ambode administration, you may use that adjective, dirtiest . Sanwo-Olu had to employ the services of those called LAWMA police to correct the situation.

You called it world class ? Laughable. The system fashola introduced was a home- grown style which was working well until Ambode introduced another he couldn't be efficient about(if i could put it that way) . What works well in another clime may not work well in ours, because of our peculiarities. Nigeria is different!

There was a former colleague of mine(both worked in one of the telcos) , that also used to work under the Cleaner Lagos Initiative said Ambode doesn't listen to advise. Moreso, he said Ambode was advised to start the issue of sanitation from Lagos Island because all the logistics were not fully available , due to delay in production of trucks et al but he insisted. Thus, the disapproval by people over a short period after commencement.

Ambode style for lack of continuity (with respect to Fashola) was obvious to almost everyone. Do you live in Lagos during Ambode's administration? See what he did to LAWMA- PSP project ( he even changed their name and after much pressure ,renamed it back) , the issue of Land use charges , pensioners prefer Fashola to Ambode...

You are very wrong sir. Which first phase ? Back when , i was a major stakeholder in the LGA, and it wasn't approved to be done by Ambode. Ambode said to the Chairman, Ikorodu LGA , Hon Wasiu Adesina to stop the palliative work being done there , that the state will look into it but it was never awarded.

The Chairman(LGA) did the gutters himself , which wasn't enough to serve as a drainage , so anytime it rains, it was hell- from Elepe Senior sec school to that fuelling station(Chinese named) and beyond. The Chairman passes thru that area to his house in Oke-Eletu , so people abused him a lot due to that road.

Many a time when it rains , vehicles wouldn't even be able to get to Fomon area... They pass thru corners (short link roads) to get to their destination. I agree with you ,bigtym.

Which one is Gberigbe road ? That road is even worse. No approval yet... No work done there

Master plan without action. Ogun state is reluctant about constructing or rehabilitating connecting roads, otherwise the GDP would have improved and most Lagosian would largely prefer to be resident in the state.

Ijede road isn't Ambode's project. Sanwo-Olu started it. Isawo road in Agric, Ikorodu West LCDA and Bola Tinubu road in Igbogbo LCDA were the roads started by Ambode.
