the points you listed actually makes you an alpha male. the point that really caught my attention was the "correction" part. just like you stated, most guys are scared of correcting their girls because they fear she may want to opt out the relationship, so they pamper and take all manners of nonsense from her. well, my insistence on discipline has made me lose some girls, however i'm not bothered, because i can't stand or condone indiscipline. Except maybe i'm not really interested in the girl, then i can over look, and just tag along and use her to catch fun for the short term.

TV/MoviesBlockbuster: Disney To Buy 21st Century Fox Assets For $52.4 Bn by IBBG(op): 12:40pm On Dec 15, 2017
Walt Disney Co. agreed Thursday to buy key film and television assets of 21st Century Fox, in a $52.4 billion deal set to reshape the entertainment landscape and step up a challenge to Netflix and emerging rivals in the streaming wars.
The blockbuster stock transaction also vastly reduces the Fox media empire built by Rupert Murdoch, leaving the 86-year-old tycoon and his two sons with a more tightly focused group including the Fox broadcast network, Fox News Channel and sports channels.
The deal will see Disney acquire the vaunted Fox Hollywood film and television studios, cable entertainment networks and international TV businesses, bringing popular entertainment properties including “X-Men,” “Avatar,” “The Simpsons,” FX Networks and National Geographic into Disney’s portfolio.
“The acquisition of this stellar collection of businesses from 21st Century Fox reflects the increasing consumer demand for a rich diversity of entertainment experiences that are more compelling, accessible and convenient than ever before,” said Disney chief executive Robert Iger in a statement.
Iger, who was previously expected to step down in 2019, will now stay on through 2021.
Disney’s move to acquire the Fox library of content is seen as a bid to bolster its arsenal against Netflix and Amazon as well as emerging tech players such as Facebook and Apple, which are cashing in on a move towards streaming services and away from traditional pay TV packages.
Disney, which owns the ABC television network, ESPN and has major studios in Hollywood, has been preparing to launch its own streaming service.
– Streaming wars –
Independent media analyst Alan Wolk saw a number of positives for Disney in the deal, which gives it a controlling 60-percent stake in America’s third-largest streaming platform, Hulu.
By controlling Hulu, Disney gets “a platform with which to take on Netflix and Amazon, particularly internationally” as well as “a whole lot of data about their users, something they have not previously had,” Wolk said.
“If Disney includes live sports with Hulu, that could give it a huge edge over Netflix and Amazon.”
The deal would also expand Disney’s global footprint with Fox TV unit Star India — known for sports and entertainment — and Fox’s 39 percent share in the European-based Sky. Fox has been seeking the remainder of Sky but has faced regulatory scrutiny in Britain.
Analysts have said the deal could face considerable scrutiny by antitrust regulators because of the tie-up between two of the largest film and television groups.
The news comes as another major media deal, between AT&T and Time Warner, has been challenged in an antitrust filing by the US Justice Department.
Matt Stoller of the Open Markets Institute, which follows monopoly issues, said the deal could further concentrate market power.
“Netflix, Disney-Fox, and Amazon are all trying to create as much content as possible to capture customers and block rivals from those customers,” Stoller tweeted. “This isn’t about competition over better content, it’s just about who will be the last monopoly standing.”
– ‘Unlocking value’ –
Prior to the deal going through, 21st Century Fox will transfer the Fox Broadcasting network and stations, Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, FS1, FS2 and Big Ten Network into a newly listed company that will be spun off to its shareholders.
Rupert Murdoch said in the statement issued by the companies: “We are extremely proud of all that we have built at 21st Century Fox, and I firmly believe that this combination with Disney will unlock even more value for shareholders as the new Disney continues to set the pace in what is an exciting and dynamic industry.”
21st Century Fox shareholders will receive 0.2745 Disney shares for each 21st Century Fox share they hold under the deal.
A separate statement from the Murdoch-led group said the “new Fox” would be “a growth company centered on live news and sports brands, anchored by the strength of the Fox Network.”
“The new Fox will draw upon the powerful live news and sports businesses of Fox, as well as the strength of our broadcast network,” Rupert Murdoch said.
“It is born out of an important lesson I’ve learned in my long career in media: namely, content and news relevant to viewers will always be valuable.”
It will also include broadcast and cable rights to sports from the National Football League, Major League Baseball, World Cup football and Nascar.
The deal has sparked speculation that Murdoch’s son James would play a key role at Disney, but there was no announcement in the release on that.
Iger, speaking on ABC’s Good Morning America, said James Murdoch would be “integral to the integration process” and added that there would be discussions “whether there is a role for him or not at our company.”
Rupert Murdoch, an Australian-born US citizen, has built up a vast media and entertainment empire over the past decades.
In 2013 he split off the newspaper publishing group which retained the original name of the group, News Corp., making 21st Century Fox an independent entity.
Murdoch began a gradual withdrawal from both companies in 2013, and now shares the title of chairman with his eldest son Lachlan at both firms.

PoliticsCross River’s N1.3tn Budget Achievable, Says NEXIM Bank MD by IBBG(op): 3:04pm On Dec 08, 2017
The N1.3 trillion budget estimate for 2018 presented by Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State the state House of Assembly is attainable, said the Managing Director of Nigeria Export and Import Bank (NEXIM Bank), Mr. Abba Bello.
Bello stated this yesterday in Calabar at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a financial service agreement between his bank and the state government.
While expressing delight at the ambition and aggression being shown by the state with regards to its industrialisation drive, he stated the commitment of his bank to help the state get the funds to actualise its 2018 budget.
According to him, “This is the first time a state government in Nigeria will present a budget of N1.3 trillion. It therefore, becomes very important that the state will be able to achieve the revenue that will support the expenditure.
“I was taught earlier in my career that to achieve dreams you have to be audacious and I believe that you start with having a target and for you the target today is the budget. I must stand behind you sir to ensure that this budget is achieved.”
Bello disclosed that NEXIM Bank had gone ahead to start attracting investments into the state even before the signing of the financial service agreement with the state.
His words: “We have already contacted some investors in the garment industry and already three Spanish companies have indicated interest in the Cross River State Garment Factory and I believe that we should be able to close that deal immediately.
“As we were coming, we brought one of our customers that is innovative, in the sense that they are an outsourcing company. We supported them and encouraged them to move part of their call centres to Cross River State and on that basis, we have visited the Tinapa Knowledge City and they have expressed willingness to start work that will create employment for 1000 youths.
“We have also seen what is happening at the industrial park with rice city as well as the pharmaceutical company. For us, industrialisation and diversification from the oil industry is very key to us. It is clear that Cross River State is already taking the lead and we are fully behind you.
“We are very pleased to partner Cross River State and we want to use it as an example to other states, believing very strongly that this partnership will generate huge revenue for the state and the federal government as an alternative to the oil.” He gave assurances that once the 2018 budget is achieved, his bank will get involved with the state in the making of the 2019 budget.
“I am sure that by this time next year after the budget has been achieved, we will meet again to set a more audacious budget,” he pledged.
In his response, Governor Ayade expressed delight at the partnership, saluting the courage of the bank for standing behind the state.
“I salute your courage for standing by us at this trying moment, a moment where there is global scepticism, fear and suspicion over our budget estimate. The history of our government comes from a deep vision when we sat down and thought of decoupling the state from its continuous dependence on federal allocation.
“We come from a very strong ethical background of business. We needed to commoditise government and drive it as a business because in a third world, there is general argument that government has no business being in business. Unfortunately, that is absolute falsehood.
“If you look at China’s model, government itself drives almost all the businesses with over 70 per cent of their companies doing businesses globally.”
Continuing, he said given its desire to decouple the economy of the state from dependence on federal allocation, his administration is compelled to “run Cross River as a sub-national.
“Your partnership with us goes beyond business. It is the ethical perception that there is a small system somewhere where things are working.”

Are you guys just expecting this guys to sleep and allow PDP and Atiku to Atikulate and win without a fight knowing fully well that if that happen that their chances of second term as governors will be slim.

2019 election for me will be walk over for Buhari over PDP.
lol, afterall PDP governors controlled most states during 2015 elections, but it did not stop APC from winning in those states, same thing will happen in 2019. The governors can not force people to vote who they don't want. You will be suprised what will happen to buhari in 2019.
PoliticsRe: The SE And SS Will Vote Atiku by IBBG(m): 10:35am On Dec 02, 2017
Atiku/Ekweremadu has my vote. however i feel the north central will be the key swing state. lets assume, buhari has NW and SW and Atiku claims NE and SE and SS, if he can split NC then he wins based on the regions won. what most people fail to understand is that, you can have the highest vote and still not win and election. what matters most is how many states and region you win. so if atiku wins NE, SE and SS while splitting the NC, then he wins the election irrespective of whether he has the highest vote or not.
PoliticsRe: Atiku Abubakar Visits Dele Momodu In Lagos (Photos) by IBBG(m): 10:25am On Dec 02, 2017
Atiku should campaign vigorously in North East and North Central to win there because that is the area of his strength. as for SE and SS we are atikulating.

PoliticsWorkers Receive December Salary In Cross River State by IBBG(op): 9:55am On Dec 02, 2017
Cross River State Government has paid December 2017 salary to civil servants in the state. The Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Media, Mr. christian Ita disclosed this in a statement made available to DAILY POST in Calabar on Thursday.
According to him, the early payment of December salaries was meant to enable workers in the state make their Christmas purchases before the usual hike in prices of commodities that occasions the yuletide season.
“Workers in Cross River State, have reasons to smile as the State governor, Prof. Ben Ayade-yesterday (November 30) commenced the payment of December salaries for the state’s workforce.
“This is not the first time the Professor Ben Ayade- led administration in the state is paying salaries ahead of time. His Excellency, Professor Ben Ayade believes that paying December salaries early will help workers shop for Christmas before the usual hike in prices during Christmas.”
“This is a strategy to ensure value for money. Although the last time the state got federal allocation was way back in October, the workers-friendly governor decided to pay December salaries early as a show of his underlying love for the workers,” the statement concluded.
