omoelerin1:funny enough a nairalander picked offense that i highlighted that flaw. his argument was that govt has been spending money on education and healthcare with nothing to show for it, hence the said amount was more than adequate, i told him that govt has also been wasting money on capital projects with nothing to show for it, does it mean that we should reduce funding for capital project? FCT alone with a population of less than 20 million has 40 billion budget and will still benefit from the 60 billion and 70 billion education and healthcare budget meant for 180 million people. |
MrRitchie:divide 60 and 70 billion by 180 million people you will know that it is not adequate, meanwhile FCT with a population less than 10 million has a budget of 40 billion while a population of 180 million people have a budget of 60 billion for education and 70 billion for healthcare of which FCT is still a beneficiary, and you see nothing wrong with it. Na wa for people like you too in my country. |
maqp10:your argument is just so off point and so empty and full of sentiments. going by your reasoning, which means the govt should be reducing or not be budgeting for capital expenditure again since most of the money for capital projects are looted and upon the trillions wasted on capital expenditure our infrastructure is still in a state of decay, if i must follow the reasoning you just spewed above. Mr man Education is as important as infrastructure, because it is education that builds infrastructures. Tell me any advance country in the world today that is not prioritising education? |
maqp10:so because no improvement they should totally remove the allocation? i pity your way of reasoning. Education should be among the highest in terms of budgeting provisions. No wonder we will continue to wallow behind other countries. For your information intellectual capacity rule this present world. A govt that reduces its expenditure on education has willing accepted that the country should remain backward. |
FCT alone is 40 billion. and education is just 60 billion and health 71 billion. No wonder our health care and education is in shambles. What does the FCT produces to warrant 40 billion budget. |
this is a very good idea and plan |
superstar1:you seem to know him very well. He is very fast to level empty allegations without facts to back them up. |
lenghtinny:God bless you for this statement. What happened to making money simply because you want to be relevant to your family and society at large while contributing to the betterment of the general society. It's really frivolous and very peripheral if the general objective of a guy making money is just to impress a lady, it then becomes tempting for the guy to indulge in social vices in other make money, because of the pressure. That is why alot of good guys get their hands dirty with all manners nonsense. I think we as guys really need a mindset reorientation, to get our priorities right. i think the size of the pocket should be the last thing we should consider when settling with our partner. |
imagine dangote had an uncle dantata that borrowed him 500k in the 80's to start business, can you imagine the worth of 500k in the 80's? May God bless us with people who will invest in our entrepreneural dreams. |
if that volume of job was created then 2 million people applied for npower? Ngige mind yourself o. |
most of the people positn here are posting out of sychophancy, especially the buhari supporters. The fact is you can still have the largest number of votes and still lose the election. u will to atleast have 25% of votes cast in other states or region to clinch the ticket. That will prove difficult for buhari especially in the SE/SS and some part of SW. While another viable nothern candidate will sweep this region, and split the nothern votes. |
Obudupikin:good and ABJ? |
i don't buy the idea of one currency at all. Nigeria's economy is the largest in West Africa. Other West African countries can have their one currency, otherwise, we will just be feeding and taking the burden of other West African countries just like Germany, France and even the Uk was doing before their Brexit. I don't think Nigeria is ready for such burden. We already have our own internal challenge to gripple with, we can't possibly add this to it as well. However it could also be a strength if we use our large market as huge negotiating tool to arm twist other countries to terms that benefits us more. |

Number 11; those that beg for recharge card when you chat with them online. They will tell you how they are not happy, because their subscription will soon finish. So they will want you to make them happy by buying them recharge card |
This is bold vision at work. The problem with our public universities apart from funding is bad management. The govt also on the other hand is not serious about the education of its citizens. Otherwise education will have been a prority for each successive govt, with funds judiciously dedicated to it, both for the public universities and the private ones. Govt should also acknowledge private universities that are actually well run and look for a way to create synergy with them, interms of scholarship for students willing to study there, rather than send them overseas. |
say na diamond dey between her legs? imagine how 3.6 million naira wen converted want take vanish on top hole wey no different from iya bisi own. gerrahia mehn! |
chai, dis people just the dance shoki with our economy. Their focus should be reducing the high interest rates that is discouraging businesses and entrepreneurs to borrow and invest. |
we all know he won't win, however it is good that he is throwing his hat into ring for the contest. His popularity rate will soar higher in the state. And of course by contesting helps him build his political nest for a more realistic political position and it also helps deepend his experience in the murky nature of Nigerian politics. |
what is happening to the 2017 batch. why the delay in releasing of the list as earlier sscheduled |
TosinDru:No mind them with pretending. after they will start complaining that the guy no dey last long. |
muller101:hehehehehe. i beg i no fit laugh. Its not fair tagging them that way. However the bad mentality of some of them is appalling. And we the guys aid and abet them to continue with our actions towards them. |
kay29000:you are on point. Ladies always like to play the victim card when dumped meanwhile in most situation it was the guy wasting his resources |
Jimi23:it is people like you that justifies this madness. you overate sex too much. |
talk2ekpa:This strategy is captured in the book, the lean startup. The idea is to offer a minimum viable product to a segment of your market, and see how the market responds to it, this will form the basis for accurate estimation and projections, as you continue to scale up your offering to your customer base. At this stage any mistake made is easy to correct. This strategy helps you understand your market, and enables you know how viable your product can be in the market place. Where the viability of your product can not be proven through market testing, then change in course becomes mandatory. |
the op is on point. i've had encounter with some of them. what annoys me most in their interview is their clownish way of behaviour when chanting their various slogan that is so dumb. |
You see a girl you like, you get closer and ask her out, before you realize, she starts putting all her expenses and bills on you, all of a sudden you start footing unecessary bills that even if your siblings were to ask you for such frivlous favours you'll be mad at them for unecessarily disturbing your peace. What annoys me most is that it now feels like her right to demand it such that when it is not provided she starts behaving funny towards you. The entitlement mentality of our girls this days is nauseating, and what is even more sickening is the fact that it is now becoming a norm. What happened to being in a relationship simply because you love this person and you feel fulfilled being with this person irrespective of whether this person spends on you or not. So what are we guys really benefiting from a realtionship. Don't even mention sex, because at the end of day she also enjoys it and will want you do it to her satisfaction. Now i understand why some nairalanders are team foreign girls. Simply because i asked you out doesn't mean i've employed you to now start paying you monthly salary. I should spend in relationship simply because i feel like and not because i am compelled to. Nothing trips me more than a lady who is independent and capable of taking care of herself. She is in a relationship simply because she feels fulfilled in it and not because of greed and gluttony |
IamLEGEND1:i'm totally in support of comment. What i still hard to fathom or rap my mind around in this our part of the world is the fact that when you ask a girl out, it now becomes your responsibility to pay for all her bills and they even feel they are entitled to it simply because u asked them to be your girlfriend. so what is the man really benefiting? because even in sex, they still want you to do it to their satisfaction or else they tag u a funny name. |
i think a counter thread is needed also. so that guys will also know how the female folks behave when they no longer love you. A female could do us that honour |
Another myth is dangote started with a loan of 500,000 naira. Can u imagine the value of 500,000 in the 1980's. that's over 500,000,000 naira in today's value. Add with the fact that, he was not paying any interest on the loan his uncle gave him. i think very few youths will be a failure with a loan of 500,000,000 naira without collateral and interest to start business. May God bless us with uncles like that of dangote's. |
i think ceremonially, the man is designated the head of the home, but functionally anybody can assume that role. When there is understanding between both parties, then there will be no need to want to flex muscle to show who is the head. i think men especially should always see their wifes as their equals and not their inferior, and see the position of being the head as a shared responsibilty. which means the man is responsible to the woman and the woman is responsible to the man, nobody is superior to each other, by so doing whoever is footing the family bills will not feel cheated or feel the other party is irrelevant. As for me both man and woman are both the head. nothing less |

. Is that even a sensible reason why a man should be successful in life
