Sorry i am not using mtn or glo.i am on internet wifi in the place i am renting.Over where i am staying we dont have mtn or glo recharge cards .You just go to a shop if ur credit is finished and tell them to top it for u and u pay .And as for what i said pls pick out the evil thing i said.I said if a man is staying legally in europe and is still giving excuses why he cant bring his wife over then he is married or has a girlfriend where he is staying ..thats the obvious truth .At the time i was in a language school then in benin a number of the female students who joined had husbands overseas and the enrolled cos they wanted to join their husbands since it was one of the requirements.One of the young lady her husband was going to school in germany yet he wanted his wife to join him,Thats how u know a man who truely loves his wife.You cant be staying legally in a country and be saying u cant allow ur wife to join u..why?.Only time a man would be making such excuse is when he has a woman over there.As for ur own case i can understand..corona virus globally changed everything..it closed down schools,airports etc..i understand and everybody understands that.We are talking of the world b4 the covid 19.A man is already settled abroad but he still giving excuses of why he doesnt want his wife to come over ..what are his reasons? . one person here said he cant allow his wife to join him cos his wife will collect his properties using oyibo court system .so can we say that is the most reasons many married nigerian men overseas dont want their wives to join them?

If a man gets wedded in Nigeria, moves to the west and brings the wife over, things go south and divorce papers are filed, will he lose his assets despite not been a signatory to court marriage or even getting wedded in the west?

My family comes first then work.When I just got married I was offered a six digit job abroad.My wife was pregnant with our first baby.I told my wife about the job and my decision to be with her and my yet to be born kid.I will not leave them or get a job that separates me from my family.I am still in Nigeria and we are managing.I and my wife and kid do things together,play together.
If i am to leave this country to abroad,if I can't take my family along, then it is a big no.My family is my world and I will do my best to provide what I can and be with them.
Today when I lock back,I have no regrets as I am always there for my family,spiritually,physically,emotionally,financially.

pls didnt u read op"s story about his married neighbour with kids whose husband is overseas already disturbing him for sex? sadly thats how many marriages in naija with the husbands overseas tend to be.A number of their wives sleep around...except the very few who still try to keep the communication strong but then its not easy o.u are many kilometers away and ur wife is in nigeria all alone.the bedroom is cold and she is lonely.no man to hold and her friends laughing at her and urging her they have guys they can hook her up with..tell me why wont she fall.Except ur plan is to sujourn in ur adopted foreign country for a short time or u making plans to bring her over then she can still hold on..only then oo.But to be dere for donkey years with no sight in plan to bring her to join u she will become disillusioned and with what her friends are putting in her mind she will begin to doubt and suspect weda u have a new partner there with u then she will fall.Its not a new thing..it happens all the time.

do sailors stay in the sea for ever? ..and talking of many of these guys who work in oil rigs for months hope u know the ones who are married their wives sleep around with reckless abandon .some of these men even know their wives sleep around but they have resigned themselves to fate.Most times if u have a profession that requires u travelling all the time its wise just getting a baby mama.Footballers who travel all the time to meet their games engagements if its a long trip some of them bring their wives with them.There are some medical doctors who do their jobs travelling to different regions..u have heard of doctors without border abi? some prefer marrying each other in the same profession and if the man has a passion for travelling so also will the woman.they will travel together and do their profession together.It sucks when u as a man travel for so long a time and u just live ur wife and kids for months.Sooner or later her will power will crack and men who specialise in sleeping with married women will swarm over ur wife like ants around sugar

hmm long distance marriage no be marriage oo..except u doing it for a temporary phase of time due to some unpreventable issues but if na for permanent basis that is not marriage.I sometimes wonder how wives whose husbands are overseas and whose husbands come once in a blue moon are able to cope.Many of these men who are not that reluctant to bring their wives over to join them where they reside are mostly married where they reside or have girlfriends.You know many of these whites dont like comptetion.They are not like nigerian women who can tolerate a second wife or a side chic..their society no be like that..men who cheat in their society hide to do it.not like us who flaunt our own.If the man is not married over there and is single there he would be more than willing than willing to bring his wife over.There some nigerian men living in germany and france who enroll their wives in naija into language schools so as to have the certificate of language studies which is one of the requirements to have if u travelling to some non english speaking european countries.thats to tell u how serious they are.When a naija guy is giving excuses why he doesnt want to bring his wife over then my brother he is married or engaged to some lady over there ..we all know this nau .The other guy u were saying he is refusing to bring his wife cos she is troublesome did he not see the troublesome nature of hers when he married her? i am sure dat one na just his excuse.Anyway most long distance marriage the help of God e dey survive oo.There some men they will just abandon their wives and kids and cut off all communication and begin a new life.Thats why u see many of their wives in naija sometimes having numerous lovers.

my uncle went to the uk in 1987. His wife joined him in 1999 after he divorced his arrangee wife. He came home every 3 years and hit the jackpot 3 times. Today all the kids are doing well abroad. He is enjoying his retirement there too. Money is very important in this life. No point staying in 9ja suffering with ur wife. She may still cheat on you.

The Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi; and the President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Nnia Nwodo, on Tuesday reiterated the need for Ndigbo in diaspora to return home and invest towards economic development of the region.

The two Igbo leaders, who spoke in Abakaliki on Tuesday, on the occasion of the Ebonyi Business Forum, which held at the Ecumenical Centre, said the way and manner Ndigbo continued to overlook the investment opportunities abound in the zone was partly responsible for the slow pace of economic development in the region.

The two leaders insisted that the situation must change if the region was ready to take its rightful place in the country.

Speaking on the business opportunities in Ebonyi State, Umahi noted that his administration had made efforts in repositioning the state to welcome and accommodate all kinds of investors in the state.

He said, “Ebonyians and Ndigbo in general should visit and invest in any sector of their interest. All the necessary environments that aided the growth of businesses have been provided in the state.”

Nwodo applauded the Igbo investors from Lagos State who were in the state for investment purposes, saying with the level of infrastructural development in Ebonyi, the state would soon become the economic hub of the entire South-East.


He said, “It is said a good wealth is the one that reaches home. I am aware that Igbo registered voters in Lagos are more than three million people.

“But during the elections, they are reminded that Lagos is not their father’s land. When things like that happen, it reminds you that you come from somewhere; and the need to go home. We have to develop Alaigbo, and turn it into what Catalonian is to t Spain, and what Berlin is to Germany,”

It is not intellectually sound to compare Lagos with any other state in Nigeria. We have the population here, Lagos was the capital before, major corporate headquarters are here, the port is here, and many industries are here. If you want to compare Lagos with any other city, look at other major cities in Africa like Joburg, Cairo, Nairobi, Casablanca..Addis Ababa...e.t.c.

Mind you, all the attractions of Lagos are not because the state government at different periods has done anything much.........It is just because of the status of the city since 1900.
