The power road map is on the internet. Please guys take the time and effort to read it. when you have done so and you have any criticism of it then come out and tell us. The telecoms privatisation template cannot be applied to electricity generation and transmission. The initial investment in infrastructure is simply humongous. The FG will bankrupt itself and bring even greater suffering on the populace if it attempts to rush this thing. The few foreign investors who have shown interest wants the FG to guarantee their investment (which would wipe out our reserves in days) and they intend to make "Super Fantasy profits" unobtainable elsewhere on this planet just like the MTNs and others are doing in telecoms. This problem must be solved brick by brick. |
Kai!! sometime I just want to give up. Hopelessness is a vice. And our people are wallowing in it. Shame. |
You people are part of the bleeping problem with Nigeria. How else do you expect this monster of a problem to be solved? Do you dead skulls know there are things called Constraints in the management of anything? Just how do you expect the FG to resolve this problem? Dear hopeless citizen hear this, there is no magic bullet. The problem of light will only be solved bit-by-bit. Like it or not. Trying to do it all in one go is a no-brainer and will bankrupt the FG. Some thoughtless Nairalander suggest that foreigners should come and take control of our entire grid? This is a Nigerian problem that must be solved by Nigerians. The foreigner didnt get to where they are in one day. India still cannot supply its own power needs 100% but lightweight brains are calling for indian companies to come and feast on our grid? |
How much? |
Wow! people still do that stuff? Sell off your assets (possessions) cos you got visa? To go do what where? think again , |
@igbogolo, No I am not worried about the reserves. We are too stupid to know what to do with reserves anyway. If Jonathan doesnt deplete it another hopeless clueless Nigeria man or woman will. It takes very little to part a fool from his money and sadly both constituents of leadership & followership in my homeland are fools. You dont own something you cant keep. |
This is the sign of things to come. If the Europeans take North Africa, then the whole of Africa is doomed. If you think the militarised powerful countries will stand idly by and let you control the resources they depend on and are vital to their own survival - then have your head examined. The black man's days are numbered. If you dont know it hear it now! He is powerless, clueless, cannot feed his women, his children (sons and daughters), cannot defend his territory. Steals all the wealth in his homeland to hide abroad where foreigner take the lot from him, controls it and pays him a paltry interest. He soaks himself in unneccesary materialism boasting of 'having' this and that - things he cannot even produce (cars, clothes, phones, houses, just name it). Throws away $100s Billions on consumer products every other day. Begs and pays dearly for the most basic of human necessities - food!!! Violate the laws of his land, can hardly sit down and agree the way forward with his own kind, builds nothing, develops nothing, contributes nothing. Destroying himself at every turn - deseases abound, illiteracy, ignorance, little foresight, no infrastructure, no light, no farms, no nothing, sleepy, lazy, slavish,. Africa is free for all - a big, fat, juicy pssy waiting to be bleeped. It wont happen tomorrow, not next year , but surely somewhere in the not too distant generational future. DAMN! Tell me I am mad please. Tell me! |
Love these banters Knowledge is nothing until applied Potential is nothing until used and results created Listen to my southern brothers and sisters mouthing off Until and Until the south ACTUALLY start producing those tomatoes, onions, beef etc please give credit where its due. For now BUHARISTAN (lots of credits to whoever coined this word) deserves much credit. |
@ New Voice Please post your evidence or get other eye witnesses to corroborate your story. The depth of rumours in our society is truly dispeakable. Nema says there was no death in Kano - please post evidence to the contrary if you have them. |
This is acute poverty mentality!!!! And please poverty mentality is true for both the poor and the rich in our society. Where are the roads to drive these cars on and the fitting environment? In the midst of so much poverty, deprivation and misery? This is like wearing winter coat in Lagos trying to show you've been "away". Just hope they are saving for retirement as most would be broke before 50. |
Thanks Bisiaet Over to you Vibastin. |
What an ungovernable bunch - Asking a newly democratically elected president to unleash the Army on these rascals. Do you guys even think of consequences, contagion and worst case scenarios? GEJ - Thumbs up!!! with your superior (non-OBJ type) approach. Based on the comments here the question is Are we really ready for civilised governance? Ps -To that guy Not Unconnected = Connected - thanks for making my day. I havent laughed as much in a week. |
@4EVERGOD Let go of your negativity and embrace the fact that the election was free and fair and GEJ has the mandate of the people. The thiefs/crooks of the past had no mandate hence no responsibility to the general population. We are always too quick to put ourselves down and embrace the fantacies of living in another land. Our woes will not end in one day but slowly and gradually. This president would spend his sleeping and waking life knowing he obtained the people's mandate. |
Autosmart, Could you please send me details of the FX35 in one of the pictures of the X5. thanks |
Please Sir, Could you send me details of the FX35 standing next to LR3. Thank you |
GenBuhari Could you please post the video where masses of Nigerians can see it. This is the guy Nigeria needs now. I have never had any Senior Nigeria articulate Nigeria'a problem as this man has just done. Nigerians please do not waste your votes |
190 and Megastreet You and your Nigeria is rich mentality - please check the figures, the economic data, our population, annual import bill etc. Even with zero corruption we would still be poor until we launch our industries and start producing things other people want to buy. Just out of interest how much do you guys pay in taxes annually? I'll be on zero. |
PLEASE GIVE GEJ A CHANCE. IT DOESNT MATTER WHO GETS THERE, NIGERIA AS A COUNTRY WITH ITS CURRENT STRUCTURE JUST DOESNT HAVE THE MEANS (MONEY) TO PROVIDE ALL THESE NEEDS IMMEDIATELY. SELLING PETROL ALONE WILL NOT CUT IT. THE STEPS HE HAS TAKEN ON POWER GENERATION (ELECTRICITY) IS SPOT-ON BUT WILL TAKE SOME TIME AND GOOD CONTINUOUS GOVERNANCE TO COME TO FRUITION. IT DOESNT MATTER WHO GETS THERE. |
This birmingham guY!!! Do you know anything about governance at all? Where is he supposed to find the money to do all the lofty projects that you have mentioned? Edo's state annual income is way less than its annual recurrent expenditure so tell me Mr Birmingham how do you commence or complete capital projects with that reality? The truth is most of this people (politicians) find that their promises are impossible to fulfil in the time horizon they have in office. (Ask Obama). But of course their allowances, salary, maintenance and security votes continues by right and when they are using that for personal and official expenses they are automatically regarded as THIEFS. To do all the lofty projects nigerians are demanding you firstly have to sack perhaps all state and federal staff, and the government itself to create the money to meet 20% of our infrastructure requirements. We are not going to have 24/7 electricity in Nigeria without massive funding from external investors. The alternative is for the federal government to stop all expenses for 5 - 10 years. That my friends is not an option. Leave Oshiomole alone - His only well rumoured weakness is his affinity for girls, girls, girls. |
"UnLugardisation" I love that word but then again this is Nigeria - na so so mouth!! |
I will be voting BB for one reason and one reason only. To get the PDP out. Nigerians are now not an easy bunch of people to govern. We have been messed up for far too long and we are now very confused and hopeless. |
Serves them men right!!! What is the point of marriage this days? You can have everything outside marriage and Guys do you really have to own that chick? Get yours and move on. If you have to marry a chick, marry one with a job, her own money, career, house etc. And please stop taking broke-ass females to the West. You get swiped always. |
This is what having too many children in today's world translates to. Nigerians!!! Stop having too many babies that will end up unemployed, poor and frustrated adults. There are no waiting jobs in Qatar. Be told. |
This freeking war is about OIL and the control of it. Yes the West have existing oil contracts but all are skewed heavily in Libya's favour. Trust Gadaffi, unlike the glutonous morons in the rest of black africa. Note that the AU issued a communique recently saying no wars or military intervention on African soil. The West dont have time for the powerless. And the West wants to protect a population that is not European and White without serious economic benefit? Sorry not the Westerners that I know very well. |
I live in the west and i know the west, its politics, mentality and believes. My fellow Nigerians, they are going there purely for the OIL!!! They dont give a hoot about the Libyan population - open your eyes. Did you notice Obama's restraint? He knows the game. Just take a look at the lifestyle and the living standards off all the Oyinbos working in your oil industry. Does it seem remotely like the oil is owned by Nigerians? Its control and ownership of solid oil contracts. To continue prospering oyinbos while the majority rest continue to wallow in extreme poverty. |
Like i said FAILED CITIZENS |
No way! Nigeria is not a failed state. Nigeria has 150+ million FAILED Citizens!!!!! Period! |
