Trust me, I won't be crying about losing out on average players like Oxlade and Drinkbleach. Half of me wants transfer window to shut and let's face the season with what we have. Luiz can do what Drinkbleach does in midfield, thereby creating space in defence for Christensen. Likewise Azpi can man RWB, creating space for Christensen. And at LWB, I don't see what Oxlade can bring much better than Kenedy. I am not moved at all. These players will only improve us by a couple percent, not the step-change we are looking for. That already passed earlier this summer when the likes of Tolisso and Paredes passed us by. The only player left on market I will make effort to pursue is Jeremy Toljan.

I agree woth general gist of your logic, but surely that's still a waste of KDBs talent. The man is at his best playing probing passes and shooting from the edge of the box.

Telling to leave all of that and instead focus on playing as a DM is a near criminal underutilization of KDBs talent. Move him up to 10 and shunt Silva wide left like Mata. Then buy a solid CM to do the work needed.

It is a waste for him personally, but the whole team can benefit. If Silva was robust enough physically, he would be the one sitting for KDB. it is never a question of Silva being better than KDB, it is a question of the team being able to benefit more because KDB can still produce from deep position on top of Silvas numbers.

Just like Messi was moved out of no 9 position for Suarez. Suarez is not a better no 9 than Messi, never that. Barcelona just know that Messi can still chop from deeper position, so the team as a whole can chop from both players.

That mail might be for me. KDB is just showing what a fantastic player he is. Last game I checked man was making 100 touches per game. Those are Xavi numbers. He played there most of last season and still made 20+ assists. According to Pep logic, if he can get such output from DM and still get output from AM, he is chopping belleful from both positions.

Kieran Gibbs is a decent squad player as is Gabriel who Arsenal flogged for £10m. Wengers village people must be working.

Oxlade may be telling stories. Arsenal offered him £180k to stay, maybe he was expecting the same from Chelsea which would make him our 2nd highest paid player. That can't happen.

Some things are due to wage structure. Hazard is our top earner on £200k per week. Sanchez is seeking £300k minimum.

Buying a player like Sanchez will bust our wage structure. Courtois is already pushing to join Hazard on £200k. By the time you sign Sanchez, every single player will expect their wage to go up by like £30k-£50k average.

In reality, it's 7 wingers since Oxlade, Moses and Kenedy can play there. Barring an injury crisis that should be enough. Remy is still third striker for now. 3rd striker hardly gets to play so we should be alright.

Hazard, Pedro, Willian, Musonda and Boga looks pretty much like a good mix for a team competing in four different competitions.

I am looking at our numbers and the dampening effect it may have on our performance as the season wears on.

For those league cup games etc, Kenedy, Oxlade or Moses can be the winger, not to mention playing both strikers instead, or a diamond midfield. Loan is best for Boga while Musonda eats all those minutes.

Musonda is first in line. Boga loan is sensible, otherwise he will be the 5th winger.
