Saf is an ignorant old fool. Instead of the guy to fix his midfield as everyone expected, he was busy buying more strikers. Student wey no gree read, na exam go expose am. |
Went with jelavic over Baines when I played ma wildcard, jelavic got injured and Baines was copping points. Sold jelavic to be able to afford Baines and now jelavic is on fire. Story of my season. I tire o. |
Hehehe. Nice win boys. Torres actually won quite few headers today even against Vermaelen although still giving the ball away. |
Leave matter. Terry is guilty. We all make mistakes. He may not be a racist, but he has used racist language. He is right to make gragra over the issue cos it could ruin any future media or managerial career he may have had. You wouldn't wanna throw all that away for a mistake. See our guy Big Ron Atkinson who was the first manager to give black players a chance with the three degrees at west brom. Where is his media career since he called desailly a nigger? He used to be ITV main man. |
Hehehe. I'm not in the business of reading minds where someone describe a blunt attacking performance as fluid then expect me to interprete it as average despite only praising the performance. Count your money? Are you a stripper? Or did you just break open your piggy bank? I will tell the cashiers at Natwest to beware a large consignment of 2p coins coming their way tomorrow. Please don't hold up the queue. |
Brilliant line up, fluid in attack. Praising the performance right? Excuse my paraphrasing. I did not know 'fantastic' and the above were not interchangeable. They obviously mean different things. I would take it the above means it was an average performance if it was not 'fantastic'. Now tell us what you think about mikel 'bombing forward' |
StarBoard: In fact, given the plaudits that you and coogar and that third-hand vehicle seller have given him, I'm sure this defence isn't what you were projecting afterwards.Do you have a problem with the (praiseworthy) way the man makes his bread? If you need a discount on your next ride kindly send the man a discreet email and stop referencing him up and down. |
All these haters wey dey laugh ipukulu marines, be warned that ipukulu always play the long game. Check the team value, we have at least 0.5m more than anyone else. That's what ipukulu always use to make the difference - MONEY!!! We would always be able to afford more players to cop us more points over the rest of the long season ahead. We always use the first few weeks to ride the price rises, then cash in our chips and start obliterating ninjas with our buying power. Last season, marines were 200 points behind the leaders in December and came back to finish 60 points clear of second place. Be warned! To be aware is to be prepared!!!! |
nateevs: What's the story about? The story is that you tried to label an average performance as fantastic just to give credence to your "Lampard dropped" debate. Not that those boys cannot perform fantastically with or without Lampard, just to highlight your duplicitous nature of hyping an average performance to fit into your argument. . . and if Cole hadnt scored, I'm sure you would have pulled out your fallback argument "RDM cannot manage attacking players" |
Ibime: Hmmmm. I was waiting for troglodytes to put their spin on what we saw yesterday. Note that the man with pace was the last man whilst mikel was lost in the cm position and even had less legs to get back plus was not effective going forward. So if the last man was Ramirez, what was Mikels role in the team? The man with pace should always be last man because he's the one who makes the last ditch challenge but suddenly some haters wanna spin it so that Ramirez should take mikel position whilst mikel take lampard position which is what we saw yesterday. . And guess what mikel was even less able to get back than lamps in that position. That a faster dm makes us less susceptible to counterattacks is not rocket science. But that man is here to take Mikels spot. And in the long term that man is not RamirezNow lets see who's "bombing forward" https://i49.tinypic.com/207829j.jpg Note that in the Stoke Game, Mikel takes up Lampard's average position on the pitch whilst Ramires takes up Mikel's average position on the pitch (last man). No one accused Mikel of "bombing forward" despite the fact he played in Lamps position. Mikel was less effective in that role both offensively and defensively. He was slower to get back, and he did not have the attacking chutzpah of Lampard. What happens? Mikel is even slower than Lampard coming back, but counterattacks never materialise because he has a fast player to cover him. The last man should always have the pace because he makes the tracking runs on counterattacks. Conclusion: There is nothing wrong with Lampard's average position on the pitch. We look more susceptible to counters because Mikel behind him cannot deal with even a single runner. Even in the Juventus game where Lampard hardly crossed the halfway line, Marchisio had a field day running in behind Mikel. We looked less susceptible against Stoke because simply there was a faster player in Mikel's position (Ramires) and Stoke only had Michael Kightly who had pace. Mikel was much slower at getting back even than Lampard in the more advanced of the holding two. This is not to say Ramires deserves the DM position in the long or even medium term, because his lack of passing ability would tell against better opponents. The solution as I have said since June is buy a fast defensive midfielder who is also comfortable on the ball. |
coogar: joe allen is shyte! abou diaby murdered him some weeks ago - mulumbu shat on him last month too. even if we had allen, he wouldn't have played today - fergie wanted to mark the hillsborough event with his geriatrics. is allen better than cleverley? better than anderson? with the way we played today, sani keita would have looked like xavi and zidane rolled into one. makes me wonder why we have so many young midfielders but fergie chooses his geriatrics ahead of them in big games. powell, anderson, cleverley were fit and fergie still chose giggs!Come on now. . . just because Liverpool lost a match doesnt mean Joe Allen got shyted on. . . blame that on their strikers who cant finish. . . |
First off, Nani has never played brilliantly on the left wing. His greatest preformances always come on the right-wing. Second off, whilst United midfield was poor, you lot should give some praise to Joe Allen. The guy is no mug. I recommended you lot sign him last summer but Fergie was busy overloading on more wingers and strikers. |
Breaking news - john terry retires from international football They must be about to find him guilty |
debosky: @ IbimeI'm not sure, although I know we regularly struggle at home to stoke unless lamps is dropped. ![]() Couldn't you see our obvious improvement yesterday? That's what happens when you don't have someone bombing forward and you play with balls. You create two chances!!! |
Ipukulu cop 4 losses in a row. We've never failed to reach the final of the h2h cup before so no shaking. |
lalaboi: Captain Tevez on the bench. . Mancini. Mancini. Ori e ti Y danuLol. I knew tevez might be benched after playing 90 minutes in Madrid that's why I never captained him |
Hmmmm. I was waiting for troglodytes to put their spin on what we saw yesterday. And guess what mikel was even less able to get back than lamps in that position. That a faster dm makes us less susceptible to counterattacks is not rocket science. But that man is here to take Mikels spot. And in the long term that man is not Ramirez Yes, Ramirez passing was dire. We would see how far that gets us against the bigger clubs not against stoke who let him have the ball in his own half with no pressure and his passing still managed to stink under no pressure. That's just their positioning on the pitch I'm commenting on, not the performance. Let's now look at this "fantastic performance" Well this is not the first time troglodytes will point to a shower of shyte performance which Chelsea won and use it as evidence of lampard should be dropped. Such teams should be beaten comfortably, lampard or not but yesterday was poor abeg despite attempts to hype the poor performance. We heard the same eediot last season using every win against Wigan and Accrington Stanley as the evidence why the team is better without lampard yet when the big games came around guess who produced? There is a reason why the big guns can get rested against likes of stoke - cos we have never lost to them before!!! Most fascinating is troglodytes praising the shower of shyet we saw yesterday as fantastic. Fantastic against stoke who we beat comfortably every season to create only two chances and rely on 85th minute goal. Hahaha. Looked more like arsenal yesterday. And I say this not in support of lamps but in support of Moses or anyone who can stretch the play whilst hazard Mata and OscAr are fighting for no10 position and congesting the play. It was sooo comfortable for stoke yesterday, whilst some Chelsea fans were feeling happy at passing the ball around like arsenal with no threat. I hope at least one of Mata or hazard would learn to stay wide at times to give the others space to play, cos I don't want to watch that kinda constipated play again It's funny that iconoclasts also have nothing to add about shekpekeeper but pick on their favourite topic So lemme guess this right, a struggling performance against stoke is the evidence that the man who brings down likes of barca shouldn't play. I get it! This is last year's argument. If I had the time, I will quote the eediots statements last season against the likes of wolves as evidence of lampards uselessness to the team. Like I said, who the gods want to kill they first make mad. |
debosky: Frankly strikers on better form like Tevez have struggled against Stoke this season, so it will always be a tough game for any striker to make an impact. We always flog Stoke year in year out without fail so whatever tevez does is man city business not ours. The box was packed because hazard and Mata were cutting inside causing congestion with Oscar but it is up to Torres to find his touch within such packed box. if we play winger who hugs the touchline and swing in crosses like Antonio Valencia, you guys would tell us heading and aerial balls is not Torres game. If we play tippy tappy wingers who congest the centre, you will tell us the box was too packed. The man of unending excuses. |
coogar: dayo is a donkey......he won't answer the questions posed to him! what have mata, hazard and oscar provided for torres in comparison to what valencia/nani/young provide for rooney on a regular basis. ibime mentioned sturridge scored 13 goals on the right flank last season - that statement is the damning evidence that chelsea don't play to the strength of their centre forwards. ask ibime to produce the stats of sturridge's goal assist and he would be left scratching his head!Lolz. This guy too funny. |
The 13 goals sturridge scored from the right wing in half a season in the first team last year were all long balls and headers ![]() Best thing is for shekpe keeper to get all his flopping out the way early so that even the club hierarchy get fed up with him and we can move on with our season asap with sturridge leading the line, then give Lukaku his chance in January |
The 2 goals in 6 competitive games consists of one deflected shot against Newcastle that made some peeps to post gifs claiming his movement was superhuman and one offside tap-in against reading |
dayokanu: Pathetic team in Chance creation yet they are the Only team in EPL I know that have scored over 100 goals a seasonDon't you know all those goals were headers? If they wanted someone to finish those chances they should have bought mutiu adepoju not torres |
dayokanu: Drogba was top scorer, Anelka was top scorer.Anelka was a bully when he won the golden boot in 2009. All his goals were headers and anichebe type goals. Only a brute can score the kind of goals anelka scored, not torres ![]() |
Torres conversion rate since joining Chelsea - 9%. |
chic2pimp: How many chances did the Chelsea Midfield create for him? Or do u simply expect him to turn up and start scoring goals with zero creativity behind him?Well. . . . ![]() |
debosky: Bros I'm still not sure what happened. . . .that's the price you pay for making team changes at 11:23am.Was it the time of day or the shekpe in your system that caused that one? |
nolan scores. . . on me bench. . . ![]() |
Hazard off. Another captain fail for Ipukulu Marines |
So it's chamotex this week for ipukulu marines? |
In 2008, Yaradua was still President and Obama was still a senator! Alex Hleb was the future of Arsenal. Torres was on top of the world, whilst DD came back from holidays unfit with beer belly. Insanity is someone making 2008 arguments on 2012 form!!! |
debosky: Wildcard loading. . . . .here's hoping I do better than Ibime did last week!Forget last week ninja. . . can you do better than Ibime this week? |
Latifu, you still dey wake up with yesterday's food in your mouth? Please change your mind about lampard. It's not good to carry hate in heart for 10 years. Also change mind about shekpe keeper. It's also shame that you haven't changed mind about drogba. Insanity is doing same thing over again. Anyway like I said yesterday's food is today's shyte. We don't carry arguments into new dawn so cool your dreads Rasta! Bible says let not sun go down on your anger!!! ![]() |
