coogar: you don't know that, you are only guessing and even if he played 12 games in the dm position, common sense should tell you those games were not consecutive games and some of them would have sub appearances. in other words, no mathematical theory can explain how and what cazorla did but common sense can!!!You showed us the graphic yourself - he played 12 games in the centre (DM, CM or AM) last season. (BTW, we're not dumb, you ask anyone where those 12 games were played and most people will tell you 70% were in AM position. Only Debo and Coogar can twist well-known axioms for silly argument. So, even if Im benevolent enough to assume that all 12 games were in DM, there is no way he makes 7.1 tackles per game there. No, this is a player who tackles all over. coogar: so ibime, was cazorla also blocking shots in the attacking midfielder position? making interceptions from this same position? why you decided to ignore interceptions and blocked shots in your long epistle already shows you are arguing against logic! If you were not a fool, you would see the futility of your own argument. So in 12 games (out of 42) he played in the centre (lets assume DM), he made so many blocks and interceptions that he outperformed defensive midfielders who played 42 games there? Sauron, please scan your matriculation documents, lets see if its one of those "Nigerian senator" degrees you hold. He can easily make interceptions in the opposition half in a high-pressing system like they play. As for blocked shots, he can do that easily being the man on the line from corner kicks or any other such oddities. If Debo went to school, he should know that a maximum 12/42 games in DM cannot give you more blocked shots than regular DMs. And to show how foolish you are, Alex Song, a so-called DM made only 0.1 blocks per game. This shows that there is weak-to-zero correlation between these stats and position on the pitch! debosky: According to Ibime, you can't get dribbled in an attacking position. This is because dribbling is prohibited by FIFA if you are in your own half.Which defensive midfielder would dribble an attacking midfielder? Dribbling mostly occurs in the final third of the pitch. This is the true test of his position!!! Abi have you ever seen Rio Ferdinand shangaloing Drogba before? debosky: Talking about lilliputian details, you pick on tackling ALONE, when SIX different measures were provided? You are the nitwit who started off the argument by extrapolating tackling stats as basis for your argument. Now that I have excoriated your position, you are shifting sands!!! Initially. . . debosky: Only a muppet like Ibime will believe Cazorla played only in forward positions and still made 82 tackles, almost 4 times the number of tackles Mata made last season! ![]() |
coogar: oh mi gosh!At least 50% of Messi's goals show some self reliance, strength, balance or skill. But it seems Torres teammates would always be blamed for not giving him tap-ins. coogar: he was injured, out of formOh, I thought you said its because Chelsea weren't spoon-feeding him easy tap-ins. He was "out-of-form, confidence and injured" - thats simply it - not the silly nonsense you fed us with last year about no one laying it on a plate for him. |
coogar: you are troglodyte!!Very silly extrapolation. Its obvious the money spent on your education was a waste. How many tackles did Makelele make per game? How many times was Cazorla dribbled past there? That should give you a real indication of his position. Niggas can tackle as many times as they want in any position. Ask Rooney, Kevin Davies, Ramires or Gerrard. It doesnt mean they are playing DM. If Alex Song and such are dribbled past 1.5 times to 2 times in a game, it means they are in a position to be dribbled past. Cazorla is dribbled 0.5 times in a game cos no need to dribble him - he is in an attacking position. But simple Mathematics proves why your education was a waste. If we know that Cazorla played in AM, CM or DM, 12 times out of 42, we should be able to extrapolate his normal tackling rate by property of distributivity. If he played 30 times in an attacking position and made 0.8 tackles per game like Ramsey (according to your thesis that he should only make more tackles in DM), then how many tackles per game should he make playing a maximum of 12 games at DM to average 2.6 tackles per game: (12x + 30*0.8 )/42 = 2.6 12x + 24 = 109.2 12x = 85.2 x = 7.1 tackles per game. So even if we assume that he played all 12 games in DM, he would have to make 7.1 tackles per game to get his current tackle record had he tackled 0.8 times per game in attacking positions like Ramsey. Now imagine he only played an optimistic 5 games in DM, he might need 10 tackles per game to get such a high average. In other words, he tackles lot wherever he plays on the pitch, and claiming that high no of tackles indicates his position on the pitch is poor mathematical extrapolation as even a maximum 12 games cannot possibly increase his weighted average to 2.6. No, obviously, this is a player who tackles a lot in attacking positions. Sauron and Debo, I hope you didnt get your degrees by correspondence!!! ![]() |
coogar: and he won the golden boot for spain despite playing the fewest minutes of all the great strikers in the tournament. torres finished ahead of ronaldo, gomez, klose, balotelli, etc. so from whose delivery did he cop those goals? his opponents? How about the one year before that when he didnt score a single goal for his national team. Coogar, you better go start deleting all your posts about "Xavi and Iniesta play too slowly for Torres" before I expose you here! ![]() coogar: just admit you are a fat fool......So you mean that back-heel is the reason he scored with 4 defenders ahead of him. Silly me, I thought it was the deflection off Coloccini! Is it only Torres that would be happy with such service and such options as we have this season? Even Michael Owen will back himself with such players behind him. What are we paying Torres for? |
^^You graphic does not prove anything except that Cazorla played 12 games in the centre (AM, CM or DM) of which one or two coulda been defensive midfield out of his 42 games, which does not excuse such poor output! debosky: How many games did Camacho play last season? In actual fact, Camacho often played WITH Toulalan, not replacing him. Admit it Ibime, you are a fat charlatan. If you come here spewing rubbish like Isco playing DM expect to be found out.So you mean both Toulalan and Camacho were behind him? What position was he playing then? Behind the defensive midfielders? ![]() debosky: What you've done is the classic strawman argument - if you don't know how many games SC played in the 'advanced midfield position' you cannot make any conclusions.Classic Debo lowblow - ma disclaimer simply states that Ibime is still a duogenarian with size 36 waist and shrinking!!! ![]() |
The thing sef tire me ooh! One good game and shekpe keeper suddenly becomes Messi! It shows though that his good games have been few and far between hence the uproar! Me thinks he would have a better season tho simply because of not just the players behind him but because there is no other player vying for his shirt at the moment
Yeah, Torres fanboys know he cant lose this season. But even if he lose, they'll make excuse for him next season. Last season, they told us he will shine once Mata and Sturridge appear. I got him in ma fantasy team simply cos of the support he has and lack of competition, but I maintain that Studge and Lukaku would do better in similar setting without competition. We have pampered the dude for two years and continue to pamper him cos of the expenditure on him, but like I said, anything less than 30 goals is failure for him after some fanboys were setting 20 goal target for him. God forbid, Torres should ever have to hustle for his place like Berbatov, Rooney, Wellback, Chicarito and RVP or Aguero, Tevez, Balotelli and Dzeko. Last season when DD was in ANC, he had clear run for two months and couldn't produce a single goal, yet had the gall to present ultimatum to the club after the Champions League final that they must play him every game regardless of performance, as if big clubs dont rotate strikers based on form and tactics. Some are telling us about movement as if average strikers cannot score goals unless you feed em on a plate. Lukaku and Studge can do that plus more. |

debosky: And you're accusing me of extrapolating? Aren't you the same person who was claiming Isco as a DM a few posts ago? Nicca please - admit you didn't even know of Cazorla playing the holding role instead of these step by step retractions.Once again, Deborah focusing on lilliputian details. Toulalan and Isco played behind Cazorla last season - FACT! When Toulalan was injured, Ignacio Camacho stepped in - FACT! Some of us watch Revista you know! Whilst one cannot rule out that Cazorla may have played one or two games in DM out of 42 games last season, how does playing 40 games in an advanced midfield position with all freekicks and corners justify return of 14 contributions to goals last season? Deborah, hang it up!!! ![]() |
debosky: Again can't you read? Toulalan that spent over 1/3rd of the season injured? Isco that's also an ATTACKING midfielder? Like I said, stop arguing using team sheets and go and look at how often they played and where they played.Toulalan played 24 out of 38 games and Ignacio Camacho played high number of games too. No way Cazorla played DM unless maybe one or two games. debosky: Only a muppet like Ibime will believe Cazorla played only in forward positions and still made 82 tackles, almost 4 times the number of tackles Mata made last season!Muppets may not know that Ramires plays right wing when they see his no of tackles either. Cazorla is snappy type of player so tackles could be just his characteristics whilst Mata does not like hustling that much. Debo, tell us which games Cazorla played DM and stop extrapolating from tackling stats which could mean anything!!! |
debosky: Did Toulalan and Isco play every game behind him?So Cazorla was used chiefly in defensive midfield? This is why you will never grow Debosky, telling us flagrant lies like this! Toulalan, Isco and Camacho played deeper than Cazorla last season! Mata? Go check his record in Valencia. Infact Im surprised he isnt scoring much at Chelsea cos I knew him to have a cool head at finishing. His last three seasons at Valencia reads 27, 26 and 34 direct contributions to goals. |
hannie: They just keep making it look like the stats arent there for all to see . . .you lose your 2 most valuable players and you claim your club has done good business? GOODNESS ME!!! Who did u bring in thereafter? RONALDO? MESSI? FALCAO? GOMEZ? You keeo duds, crocks and also-rans in your team and you claim you can compete? Isnt it sad already that Arsenal's usual trophy is a top 4 finish? We have been so left behind!!! We used to compete with the very best, these days all we do is admire and wish we were them instead of doing battle on the field with them . . .how poor our standards have fallen!!! I cant imagine any gooner will be claiming Song was playing crap 2-3 seasons ago, if he were playing crap, who did we have in midfield? a crocked Diaby? a Wilshere that has not played a fulll season? WHOWe all know Song's worth. His mates are earning double his salary elsewhere and Arsenal expect him to be happy, besmirching his name with talks of bad attitude. Which employee would not have bad attitude if paid half of their worth whilst their employer keeps fobbing them off. Meanwhile duds like Chamhakh, Bendtner and co earn more than him whilst Denilson and Diaby are same wage bracket. Song was second only to Yaya Toure in that CM/DM role yet some peeps think he is not worth £70k. Thats how Ashley Cole's mates were earning £90k and he was gracious enough to accept £60k, yet misers were still trying to cut him down to £55k and label him Cashley. |
You could claim 2 goals in 3 matches but I see one good performance in three matches. Abject against Wigan, poor against reading and one good performance against Newcastle is enough to drive the fanboys out the closet for a fifty mills striker of all people? What disrespect to all of shekpe keepers teammates over the last two years to claim he has extraterrestrial movement but no one was on his wavelength. What kind of excuses won't cockboys make for shekpe keeper. Someone whose been so ineffective since June 2010 because Gerrard, benayoun, lampard, Mata, iniesta, Xavi, Silva and co couldn't understand his movements. Instead of claiming that they see small improvement in Torres it's everyone's fault over the last two years |
Hahaha which time fortyboi switch go bayern. Na so condition done reach for Emirates? ![]() |
Hey Deborah when did Cazorla play defensive midfield when he had toulalan and isco behind him A no 10 role player should be directly involved in at least 30 goals for his team per season. The Mata you are talking of contributed 26 assists last season and probably 12 goals. Whether lampard, fabregas, Silva, Rooney or even Dempsey, those are the kinda returns you expect from the man who sits behind the striker and Cazorla has not posted those kinda returns yet. Certainly Villarreal had the right idea of playing him as a pseudo winger cos he has all the skills but lacking in lethality You are right he's nothing like fabregas and nothing like Hleb but like I said he's more like Hleb than fabregas and I still doubt he will have 18 direct involvement in goals this season or 23 if he takes corners and freekicks |
What won't we hear from shekpe keeper cockboys. A player with movement so good no one was on his wavelength for two years not even his Spanish teammates. Some are easily appeased after two years of abject failure and use sparse good performance from shekpe keeper to bleat every now and then. Let's just thank god for deflection off colocinni and hope shekpe keeper can sustain his play over long period to start to repay even 20million of what we spent on him cos there are boys in our squad that would have established themselves of great renoun if given half the opportunities that shekpe keeper has received. Needless to say if not for the crazy amount spent on shekpe keeper, he woulda been playing on loan at Wigan by now. So please save the adulation till shekpe produces some good returns cos many of us still feel severely shortchanged by that guy. Whilst some are ranting about a 50milla striker just getting by, I'm watching lukakus blistering 20 minute cameo appearances and counting the opportunity cost of Torres. |
azpekuliar: LMAO!You mean like the 250 point deficit I clawed back to win the league last season by 50 clear points? ? You must be a newbie at this game. Let's see, how many points do you have over me at present? 50 points. . . Gone before mid -October!!! |
4llerbuntu: Hmmn truly, ye haff come again. And how many direct goals has he contributed to in previous clubs? Fabregas produces more in two seasons than cazorla has done in his entire career |
ritchboy: But we've only played two seasons and i actually finished above you in my debut season after making up a 100-point deficit!Negro stop lying you never finished above me. At season end you started making excuses of 100 point deficit as the reason you couldn't finish above me although you came close. ![]() |
edoyad: And you know this from watching only his first two games in Arsenal Colours? Please tell us what you thought about Torres after his first 30 games at Chelsea? You mean YOU knew him from watching 2 matches. Let those of us who've been watching la liga tell you all about. I doubt Cazorla will be directly involved in up to 18 goals this season [assists + goals] |
Cazorla is a good player. Wanted him at Chelsea couple seasons back to help our possession game but he's no goalscorer and his assist record is not that impressive either. Playing him in the no10 position instead of the pseudo winger position he played at Villarreal is a waste of a goalthreat. The ninja is more Alex Hleb than fabregas. With the loss of cutting edge this season i fear a return to the Alex Hleb days of 1000 passes without goals. |
ritchboy: Melchester Rovers must be the unluckiest team in the world!!!Don't these ninjas ever learn? Ipukulu marines always make late move like haile Gabriel selassie. 20 something position is normal for the first 4 months of the season. Disvirginators have never finished above ipukulu and never will!!! |
Ibime you no get Hazard?? Really?? Na God say make I no buy Mcclean and Cuellar oh plus sell Pogrebnyak too! Well positioned for the GW without my Chelsea warriors. Dulled on the Assou Ekotto tip tho
Sold the ninja for bale early in anticipation of next week. Add to Rooney as capo and 5 Sunderland and reading players, this week was a throwaway. |
azpekuliar: Hmmm. Some might find the bolded in bad taste.Natives is obsessed. This would be the umpteenth dig he would take at fat lamps but over some time it would blow up back in his face as usual. I only have to reference him back to his comments after west brom game vis a vis "these are the players. who claim they should have played agiants napoli". Nothing dey happen |
debosky: Where are the detractors of El Nino?Once every 6 months we take a break! ![]() |
Kai why I sell hazard for fpl. I done suffer |
mukina2: what did i tell youEnd of season just make sure you are in that top 8 with me |
Fantasy week from hell |
coogar: ibime is a wanker....Modric? History speaks for itself. Whilst modric was getting redknapp the sack with his usual 3 assists and 3 goals per season, lamps was busy winning UCL, mudding Barcelona and spanking modric 5-1 in fa cup. We've already dealt with this matter. If you offer modric half the achievements lamps has made in his career, he will sell his grandmother! |
nateevs: Funny how you carefully evaded the topic of Gourcuff and Valero yet still have the audacity to go ahead and criticise others.Check the history. I posted one line about pastore you responded with epistle so who is arguing here Then compounded you epistle with lies so it's obvious you are the one arguing here. Man was simply having ma daily read of soccernet when I saw the article about pastore and I posted it here meanwhile you started writing epistles and lying ontop. Hahaha. I claimed aguero wouldn't cut it when all I questioned was the price and gave ma reasons including his injury record then lying about I never knew Valero was at west brom "till you told me then I started making excuses about pulis". Natives you are a disgrace! Ibime: Stop lying natives. How can you point out Valero at west from to me. Valero was never on loan at west brom. He was signed for 4.5milla and I watched him every week. You were the one who went on Wikipedia to search for him. Like I said pulis played him as a dm in a porous midfield and that's why west brom went down despite collecting average 65% possession. How can you tell me about Valero. Slap yourself natives. Guess what the same time I recommended Valero, he won Spanish player of the year and became a Spain international and was well worth his 6milla asking price. |
My phone dey shock up Yeah so de Guzman as a squad option on a free transfer is great business just like I recommended Manuel Fernandez on free transfer. That same season he took Mallorca to the brink of UCL and won an 8 figure transfer one season later. We can see his quality at Swansea now Compare to someone throwing tantrum because Chelsea refused to pay 40milla for some overhyped panzy just because you wanted lampard replaced. You cannot find any article stating that pastore is a success at psg so shut it natives. Claiming that you won't post articles to back your yarns but you're quick to preach during useless preseason friendly that look how pastore is using our boys. Hahaha. Funny that that article was comparing pastore to another expensive panzy that you were throwing tantrum about - Robinho. May amadioha forgive you for the great players such as lampard and ballack you cussed out during Solaris period during your Robinho campaign |
nateevs: Hehehe. Anything to make an argument. Who the hell is jonathan Johnson in the world of football pundits that gives the article so much credence, it has to be pasted on here? Once you see someone who makes a remote resemblance to your beliefs on the net, you come and pasted quoted my name. Do you know many articles paint Javier Pastore as the next best thing? Do you see me pasting those links for silly justification?Stop lying natives. As for gourcuff don't make me dig up your quotes in support of him. Guess what the same season I recommended him he won player of the year twice in a row and a 25 mills transfer. De Guzman I recommended as a free transfer as an option on ancelottis RCM in his diamond formation. |
I'm having a mare. 5 players had their match postponed and my capo on the bench |

It's these type of shallow analysis looking just at team sheets that shows how much of a novice you are. Toulalan played a mere 25 games all season and you didn't think someone else would've needed to fill his role at some point. Anyone who can count will note the exceptionally high number of tackles last season indicating he spent considerable time playing a defensive role as well.
Who has been the pivot of the team, launching attacks from the rear? who has been the most combative defensive midfielder we have had since the days of Paddy V? who has been the DM with the highest assists in the EPL for a long time now? who has been the most versatile player used in utility positions since 4 seasons now? YET YOU ALL KEEP MAKING IT LOOK LIKE 70K IS TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR . . If it were too much to ask for, why do we buy players with 'chicken change' and sell them for so high? COOL PIECE OF BUSINESS YOU ALL LOVE TO CLAIM!!! But here is the thing: when push comes to shove there will come a time when you will crave solidity in midfield positions . . .we have lost that and I doubt we are about replacing like for like . . .if anyone one talks up Yani Mvila, I will ask . . .IS IT NOT THE SAME YANI THAT HAD DISCIPLINARY PROBLEMS IN THE LES BLEUS SQUAD
