Nigga chatting long shyt
Russia in 2012 or so decided that to break the West, they needed to interfere in its social media space backing far-right and far-left candidates with trolls, bots and so on. This was a major push by Russia sparing little expense
Far-left wasn't working (which has always been their traditional ally), so they put more into far-right social media space. They know the Wests strength is in its centrism and continuity and wanted to break that.
That's why you have so much symbiosis between the far-right and Russia today. They know their enabler. You even see them aligning with far-left on various matters like Ukraine or Palestine, conspiracy theories, big pharma, vaccines etc because it is the same source (Russian ecosystem) feeding both of them, a laughable alignment between far-left and far-right to where you can't distinguish between the two. These are things that were usually left to the far-left in previous decades but now you can't distinguish far-left and far-right positions on these matters.
Your enemy decided that to break you, it needed to support an extreme section of your politic. You get consumed by their algorithms and bots and decide that your salvation lies in your enemies prescription for your downfall, then you start rowing back your previous beliefs. You must be very stüpid.
Ukraine only asked to join the EU to improve their living conditions like they've seen all their neighbours do. Ukraine is the poorest country in Europe with GDP per capita around $3.5k whilst their ex-Soviet neighbours are boasting $20k to $30k per capita. They only wanted financial upliftment. Russia reacted violently, poisoning their President as far back as 2004, so they decided to apply for NATO membership in 2008 like all their neighbours did to protect themselves after trying to join the EU and seeing Russias reaction. That's the long and short of the Ukraine matter, a simple attempt by a people to improve their financial status and their big brother couldn't stomach it. NATO is already on Russias border from several countries and has never done anything to interfere in Russia, Russia is the one poisoning people (check Salisbury poisoning), hacking systems and carrying out sabotage on NATO countries. Russia even asked to join NATO but were told NATO is for democratic nations that see eye to eye on democratic ideals. They ask to join NATO but their little brother can't ask the same thing. |

Starting a trade war with your allies and neighbours is foolish business
Regions grow together, that's how the EU has lifted so many ex-Soviet people out of poverty over the last 20 years
Let's say it becomes too costly to bring in some goods from Mexico, and Thailand can do it cheaper, that means money flows away from Mexico and more immigrants from Mexico seeking economic freedom
I've always maintained that Yankee should focus on lifting it's neighbours rather than it's Asian Pacific allies
America is a debtor nation and if the rest of the world feels it is no longer an open market, they may start withdrawing capital. That capital is what makes America great. |

LordAdam16: Bold of you to go back 5 years to pick a post that you think tangentially decries your point.
I wrote that during Trump 1.0.
###############
-Lord Ain't nobody reading all that. Has the Xi, Putin, Khomeini and Kim changed in 5 years that made you start capping for them? One minute they are evil, next minute you're their biggest supporter. Compare and contrast. Confused fellow. LordAdam16: Russia annexed Crimea in Ukraine. China is building artificial islands and seizing territories of its neighbors. North Korea has thousands of artillery facing down on South Korea. Kenya is conducting operations in Somalia. Rwanda is participating in the Second Congo War. And let's not start with the Middle East. .
I'm not saying America is perfect. But what are our alternatives? Putin. Xi. Kim. Rouhani.
Those guys would meet up, divide the planet, and anybody, ethnicity, or nation who coughs will be deleted
So as you go to bed tonight, say a prayer for the 1.4 million American military service personnel and their allies the world over who maintain the current world order. If you hate it so much, migrate permanently to Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, or Syria. Then lets see how long you last after you question anything about the ruling regime.
LordAdam16: The Axis thanks him for his service. How else will North Korea gain valuable combat experience. I will be very surprised if special forces from most Axis countries are not participating in some form. It's a layup. LordAdam16: Backed the Axis Powers. Russia has won its war. Iran has demystified Israel |

cococandy: I was reading your post in the other thread because I was trying to figure out what your angle is.
You said and I quote “If we had one China in each continent, and I don't mean population-wise but in terms of efficiency, the West would have already been put in their place.”
And then you said in a different post “ I'm also now looking forward to the next crash of the US economy.” Don't pay him no mind. All MAGAs/Putards have a form of emotional instability, that's why MAGA appeals to them. Below is the real truth, he is just a victim of radicalisation via social media. Putard/Maga come from the same algorithm/echo chamber, a confused information network of far-left and far-right programming all at the same time. LordAdam16: Because peace is expensive!
The entire world should be paying tax to America for keeping a semblance of stability on the planet.
Even with the number of US and Allied bases on the planet, look at how many conflicts and skirmishes are ongoing.
Russia annexed Crimea in Ukraine. China is building artificial islands and seizing territories of its neighbors. North Korea has thousands of artillery facing down on South Korea. Kenya is conducting operations in Somalia. Rwanda is participating in the Second Congo War. And let's not start with the Middle East.
This is the real world. The strong bully the weak.
And the only person wielding the big stick is America. Take them out for one year and every continent from Europe to Africa will be embroiled in never-ending crises. Even us in Nigeria will not be spared. Our fellow Nigerians in the North will import the Middle Eastern/Mediterranean feud over here. Our naive fellows in the South will choose sides as well.
You wake up in the morning, go to work, head home when you close, rinse and repeat; and you think that security you enjoy costs nothing.
I'm not saying America is perfect. But what are our alternatives? Putin. Xi. Kim. Rouhani.
Those guys would meet up, divide the planet, and anybody, ethnicity, or nation who coughs will be deleted without hesitation.

What is there to think. Carney worth more than £25m eventually but it is what it is. If we're not using him, let someone else. He might be end up being similar to the Gibbs-White situation at Wolves. They never used him despite knowing his immense talent cos he didn't fit into their 3-4-3 |

raumdeuter: About 30 countries make up NATO and 1 country(USA) contributes 16% of the budget. Even with a war that is not even at its border US is 34% of Natos population and only contributing 16% of the budget, you are contributing less than half your share per capita. Like I said, US is benefitting from European partners to hold Western side, since the pressure on Eastern side is much - the subsidy is from Europe to America on Western side, not the other way around. |

raumdeuter: Defence is why everyone is safe and not overrun by enemies right now. When you are the Greatest country in the world, you will have enemies who are working day and night to bring you down. Defence brings safe society which enables everyone to go out make a living and contribute to the economy. How much has been done in Ukrainian economy for example since the war started?
Defence budget is why Russia has not overrun Europe. I would think Europeans like you would be more grateful for saving them from the Putin war machine
Take away that defence budget and you would be speaking Russian right now Be quiet, Russia can't even overrun Poland on a normal day talkless of Europe. E get why Finland and Sweden ran to UK for security guarantee. All that spend is for USAs Pacific adventures, that's why they asked NATO to handle Europe while they handle Pacific. Your allies in Pacific no get levels (Japan, Korea and Phillipines) and you are serving as their Navy, Army and Airforce there. Europe can handle its area very well. |
