Singapore1: I honestly don't like players who don't have a definite role
Felix havertz nkunku enzo
Nkunku is a CF and that role is quickly phasing out Not quick or skillful enough to be a winger Not strong enough to be a striker Doesn't understand midfielder ball retention, pressing and movements enough to be a reliable central attacking midfielder |

rooftops: Mudryk should be one of the dullest player we have ever had. How can this guy be wearing our no 10 The guy doesn't look like he passed through the 4 walls of an academy. The basics are not there at all, touch is too heavy, pass is always over hit, decision making always poor If we check well he probably joined professional academy at 16. He can't have had a football education from childhood. |

liveLongNprospa: Wahala dey oo
“Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has said President Bola Tinubu has effectively mortgaged Nigeria’s future to himself, his family and associates to an extent that even after he leaves office, it would be nearly impossible for the nation to break free from his shackles.
Atiku, who was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in 2023, compared Tinubu’s integration of his business interests into Lagos’s public enterprises to his efforts at the federal level in a statement yesterday by his media office in Abuja.
Atiku said: “Just as Alpha Beta, Primero, and others act as Tinubu’s proxies in Lagos, managing critical sectors and generating revenue for him and his family, he has begun to replicate this at the federal level.”
He expressed astonishment at the operations of the NNPC and how the government-owned oil company had put its retail arm under the control of OVH, a company in which Oando, led by Wale Tinubu, owns 49 per cent.
The Turaki Adamawa expressed regret that his intention to privatise the NNPC and increase its transparency has been overshadowed by what he describes as criminal hijack of NNPC by corporate cabals around the current president.
He further said, “In October 2022, just five months before the elections, the NNPC Retail controversially announced it had acquired OVH and all its filling stations. NNPCL already had about 550 filling stations across the country but claimed it was enhancing its capacity by acquiring OVH, which had only 94 stations and 100 others leased.
“The NNPC did not disclose the purchase price of OVH or the terms of the acquisition. A Freedom of Information request by Premium Times was also rejected by the NNPC, which claimed to be a private company despite still being government-owned.
“Following this dubious deal, Mele Kyari was controversially retained as NNPC GMD despite his incompetence. Tinubu then appointed his former boss at Mobil, turned ally, Pius Akinyelure, as NNPC Chairman, while he himself took on the role of Minister of Petroleum.”
Visit guardian.ng for more.
#Atiku #Tinubu #News #Nigeria How much was paid for the filling stations is the koko From the sensationalist start to Atikus post, I thought OANDOs retail arm was acquiring control over NNPC only to find out it's NNPC acquiring OANDOs retail arm. All that matters is whether it was acquired at fair price. Too much talk when numbers will tell the whole story |

liveLongNprospa: So how come we are buying fuel for more than 200 while still paying almost the same amount for subsidy?
Because I sure as hell know the fuel consumption of Nigerians has reduced drastically. The amount of cars on the road has reduced (you can easily notice during rush hours). But till now FG has refused to tell Nigerians the amount of fuel we buy daily to help us know how much fuel is being subsidised.
I nor understand again It's very easy to understand PMS is an imported commodity and like all other commodities, it is affected by exchange rate Assuming the true cost of PMS was N500 then and you were paying N200 per litre, then Govt was subsidising N300 in every litre Official Naira rate has tripled so the same PMS true cost is now N500x3 = N1,500. If you are paying N700 now. Then Govt is now subsiding N800 inside |

GloriousGbola: and this is an enlisted soldier - not an officer proper He is a private for over 11 years now. He doesn't send promotion because it will impede his evening hustle. None of the African boys go for promotion because promotion will mean they work long hours and can't do extra curricular hustle. Dem dey hustle well for evening. Most of them are married to British or bring their wives over to come and join the hustle. All are chopping well. I met one Aba boy on this trip who brought his Doctor wife to do PLAB in UK. She is now working as a Doctor here and took it further to start writing USA Doctor exams. The guy is 11 years into service (British Army contracts are for 12 years) and he was saying that if his wife pass the USA exams, he will probably Japa with her to USA next year when his contract ends than renew with British Army. He Sabi all those truck driving, forklift and crane operator work as part of his work with British army so he will chop in Yankee too, while his wife works as Doctor there. My cousin just started a rotation this year where he is in the UK 6 months and abroad 6 months. They hate going abroad cos it deprives them of chance to hustle evening work however they still get paid £30-£50 per day ontop of their salary when they are abroad. But they still enjoy the holiday sha. Just this year my cousin done reach 8 countries including Germany, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Albania, USA and Falklands. Na the downside of the job be that but most times when they are abroad, it's to unload ships. They will be abroad for 2 weeks, use 3 days to unload the ship and use the remaining 11 days to drink to stupor. . There is one Ghana boy in their company who is always crying off going abroad with one injury or another so he can stay in UK and hustle. That guy is the main hustler amongst them, he done use him hustle set up car lot and plenty rental properties for Ghana. |

OasisX: Call for Applications: 2024 British Army Recruitment Portal opens for Commonwealth Citizens.
Are you 16 years old and above, willing to join the British Army, ready to relocate to the United Kingdom?
British Army invites suitably qualified candidates for the 2024 British Army Recruitment for Commonwealth Citizens.
Available Positions
▪️Musician ▪️Electrical ▪️Mechanical Engineering ▪️Royal Engineers ▪️Technician and Tradesman roles ▪️Paratrooper
Deadline: 26th August, 2024
❗Application link: apply: https://apply.army.mod.uk/login?_gl=1
PS . As an applicant you need a referral from a serving British soldier. Young japarians should take advantage of this. I literally just returned in the last hour from holidaying at my cousins house on the South Coast who took this Japa route in 2012 after Nigerian army turned him down for officer corps. He is an MSc holder and applied directly from Naija. Today he is a soldier in logistics division, married to a British doctor, two kids, 5 bedroom house with house in Naija for his mum and he has built two 2 bedroom flats in the compound for his brothers. Soft life for him. Most days he will close work at 12pm or 3pm and use the evening to do truck driving or crane work earning extra thousand pounds plus per month. He used that extra work to pay for his brothers PHD over here. As part of logisitics corp, you get all those certificates for truck driving, forklift and crane and they use it to earn extra money at Southampton port. Enough of his battalion are Naija, Ghana and Gambian boys and they hustle well daily, I meet most of them. One Ghana boy has used this to buy plenty properties in Ghana as well as owning a car lot. Took a souvenir of bullet he kept on his outside fridge where he keeps Naija foodstuff on this last trip. Also attached are the army quarters where his colleagues are living well. Don't be like Okpa, shouting about common $2k Putin is offering Nigerians to go and die in Ukraine, if you fancy soldier life, Japa well
