Japa no be fight, already 99% of the population is beyond japa such as the almajiris, rural community, over 35s, non-graduates, children etc. It's more for young men and women with skills that are coveted in Obodo Oyinbo, or those with intellectual capacity to develop those skills through post graduate studies.
You still have many people in Naija making it big, but it's a much much smaller subset of the population. It's just a game of chance and probability. And if you put yourself in a subset with higher probability, chances are it will favour you.
The cost-benefit analysis of earning say N1m pcm in Nigeria really doesn't cut it compared to a like-for-like comparison with a professional abroad regardless of purchasing power. In a like for like comparison, the guy abroad will still save N1.5m to N2m per month, see other increase in property equities, pensions, still move back to Naija and be in an immeasurably better position than the guy who stayed. That does not factor exigencies like healthcare, education, security, and ability of children to operate within the society. Most guys in Naija who earn that N1m all their career will still give up every single spare cash they saved throughout their career to send their children abroad for University. That says it all. |

As the Nation awaits the nomination of the APC Presidential Flagbearer, President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, met with some governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from the north at the Presidential Villa Abuja and among other things, debunked the rumours which gained traction earlier in the day that the ruling party had settled for Senate President, Ahmed Lawan.
Sources at the meeting stated that the President distanced himself from the alleged endorsement of Lawan by the APC’s National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.

BasedUsername: This is a pretty nebulous term that refers to longtime politicians and government officials working to fill their pockets and power. Eg: politicians in bed with the military industrial complex, FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page investigating Trump while really, really wanting him out.
Rich oligarchs who lobby for government policies that they believe would bring down the cost of living.
Having a heavily-linked global economy where countries depend on each other. The issue is that it tries to ignore historical, cultural, ave political differences that could cause friction between nations.
This is some Christian shxt, let them explain it.
From Wikipedia: "The Great Reset is the name of the 50th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), held in June 2020. The meeting soon became the focus of various conspiracy theories. It brought together high-profile business and political leaders, convened by Charles, Prince of Wales and the WEF, with the theme of seizing upon the global crisis to rebuild society and the economy following the COVID-19 pandemic."
I personally don't believe high-profile business and political leaders have my best interests in mind.
This just means mainstream media. I have no idea how this is a conspiracy theory. People from sides of the political spectrum have spoken critically about the msm.
Not too familiar with this term.
How you'd describe Fox News
The laptop definitely exists. Now, I don't believe it contains EVIDENCE OF HEINOUS CRIMES AND SATANIC RITUALS THAT WOULD LEAD TO THE IMPEACHMENT AND EXECUTION OF JOE BIDEN.
However, when the New York Post broke the story without any conspiracy theories attached to it, Twitter banned their account, the account of a century-old news org. That was bad and exposed Twitter's bias That's how it starts. Soon all the above will become part of your daily lexicon |

Godx: You think people who sell their entire inheritance and savings in Nigeria to go abroad are not serious and willing? You are already giving excuses why abroad will not work so you must be part of the unwilling In UK here, you can live on N0.7m monthly and there is no way you will not earn N1m monthly after tax just working minimum wage. That's living as a freshie off the boat. Once your leg done dey strong, you will see what pays more and gravitate towards that as most common-sense Nigerians do. Your spending will then increase substantially, as will your take-home pay. But you are focussing on the cost of bills, converting to Naira in your head and being intimidated by it, instead of focussing on the income that make such bills possible. I also don't go to work everyday. The same thing with many of my colleagues. We have a system that covers for each other. I go to work only 3 times in a week. You can't have such laxity abroad. You will work through your nose.
Lastly let me tell you the icing on the cake, I haven't paid nepa bill in 3 years. Around us we have people that rig the meter, so it doesn't read. When the nepa people come much later, we settle the staff and he goes. This cannot happen in abroad. A cousin of ours who have B S from an American university returned last December after completion of his education and gave us first hand account of how Nigerians, blacks are going through hard times there. When you are broke in America you will realize how easy you have it in Nigeria. If you go abroad you will see people that sold their inheritance to travel and they are stuck. If there are 100 people abroad , maybe 5 may be successful but the other 95 will be full of regrets. The high cost of living there negates any perceived positive. Where the heart is willing, it will find a thousand ways, but where it is unwilling, it will find a thousand excuses |

Skimpledawg: Big man, see eh, Nigeria is a hole for reals. It can make you go mad and crazy same time.
Around December last year, I was driving interstate with my wife to go for a Christian program I was invited for at Makurdi from PH.
Using Google map made me not to drive on full speed plus my babe no dey gree make i fire as I been dey fire when I single. Omo, after Enugu, heading towards Otukpo around that 6.30/7pm, I saw scores of scantily dressed young men numbering about 15 with locally made guns and cutlasses coming out of the surrounding thick bushes and hills towards the roads. Few started running towards my car from the other lane
If I been no kpai that day, forget. In split seconds, I increased speed and zeroed my mind that any bastard that enters my front will have a date with his maker that evening.
My hands, legs and every part of my body shook for 10mins. It started to dawn on me that this was how people die on the highway; kidnappings, rape and the likes.
For church program wey I dey go? I told God, "Baba, we gats reason o, shey na like this we go dey"?
The thought that I could have lost my life or my wife or even both scared the shiit out of me. Wife wey I just marry now now now I never chop well Going to Benue by road because of program invite? Oga stop this recklessness please. |

Kingsnairaland: Putin is waging a war against over 40 countries and still advancing. One country holding the entire western world to ransom. Donbas is almost completely liberated. 20 years all of nato country's could not liberate Afghanistan from Taliban lol
And in 100 days Russia took the size of UK from Ukraine. 40 countries are not waging war with anything. Most weapons haven't reached Ukraine, only low range missiles to be provided, no Airforce cover, and Ukraine is not allowed to enter Russian territory before big bully release nukes. Afghanistan is larger than Ukraine and was taken in 2 months. Taking and Governing are not the same thing. It's the Governing that lasted 20 years and only 3,500 troops died in that 20 years, there was no carpet bombing of civilian areas in order to "claim territory" they are supposed to be liberating. Compare to Russian losses in 102 days in Ukraine Russia have embarrassed themselves in this war. Without a shadow of doubt, Denmark alone will defeat Russia in a conventional war without nukes. Russia is using $60bln army budget to try to compete with US that has ten times that budget, meaning Russia is using most of it's budget to fund nukes, big missiles to compete with someone with big budget. While this is going on, regular combat weapons and training are being ignored, reducing Russia to a laughing stock that many European countries will defeat in conventional combat. Even regular maintenance and small details like night vision goggles etc seem to be missing from their regular toolkit. No be by big missiles alone |
