Segedinho: If i have the means...none of my children will school here but the issue is where is the fund
I am not against japa at all...i am just saying shouting japa every now and then even without the funds isn't normal For the fact you have two brothers in UK, japa is more within your reach than others. Japa usually starts with raising a few $k for down payment on a Masters. When you reach you pay the rest through hustle. Not saying you have it to hand, but if you have the will, with your family connections, only you can deny yourself. I have a cousin that was admitted straight into British Army from Naija. Nigga was simultaneously applying for National Defence college when someone told him British army takes straight from Naija. That was 10 years ago. In the 10 years since, bros has married a doctor, bought a house outside his army accomodation, had 2 children and currently sponsoring his brother for PHD in Aberdeen, so that's two members of his family japa'd, and he funds that by doing Amazon deliveries or truck driving in the evening after army work. Infact there are many Africans in his regiment straight from Naija, Ghana, Gambia etc. Most those boys leave work 12pm (British Army na cruise) and they do lorry driving and deliveries all evening. Some of those guys own car lots in their home countries from the hustle. What Roland is saying about having willpower has some truth to it. I was here on Nairaland when Dayo and Afrodoc japa. Afrodoc route took him through Trinidad, same with my cousin who had been trying to Japa for years. Afrodoc from there blended Aussie while my cousin blended UK and is now a GP. Ogbeche our mod of this section Japa with nothing in his hand but pure willpower. All he had was a degree in Agric and nigga was applying for various scholarships. I helped with some applications, next thing a PHD in Germany clicked. Last time I spoke to Ogbeche, he was solidified over there with a German wife and was touring Europe, with plans to visit here before pandemic took over. I can never say I had to hustle to Japa because it was easy for me, but I have seen enough people do it even without Canada laying on easy work visa for them. If you are aged 20 to 30 with a decent education mehn, you'll be doing yourself a disservice not trying to Japa through education route |

seankafor: I have a childhood friend in same Manchester too, dude doubles as Uber driver and also Amazon drop shipper..
When you wake up to your bills, no be person go tell you to get your ass to work..
But man, you gotta work through your nose to live over there..
Literally na for naija Dem fit flex muscules owing to exchange rate.. But over there, no body send their papa.. na why Dem dey prefer to come naija come flex small muscle E go be Amazon deliveries not drop shipping But guess what, that guy children will excel in the future even if it's too late for him to forge a more lucrative career. And I guarantee you he can still have some financial peace of mind even in what he is doing, while being the sacrificial lamb for his children's uplift Sometimes in this life it's not about blowing but being the bridge on which your future generations can walk to the other side. |

Segedinho: Bros..i am living comfortably that i don't think about japa.. Although it is somewhat insulting for people to talk like japa is a yes or no decision, but if you are comfortable enough that japa is a personal decision, then the message is for you, for the sake of your children and grandchildren if not for yourself. |

Muslim-Muslim ticket will always be difficult in this Nigeria. The era of 1993 is gone. Deborah was just killed last month. Christians so how Muslim politicians refrained from condemning that act. Upworkwriter007: Very true. However, i suspect that he would support Osinbajo and hold a tight leech on him. The same thing he does to Lagos governors. Surround him with his loyalists as ministers, speaker, and SP. Turn Nigeria into a one-party state, and that won't be good for Nigerians. On the other hand, only God knows the best. Support Osinbajo? Not after his rant yesterday. Baba is going for the full ticket And you can never keep leash on a President. A president is his own Godfather |

Ojuntana: From them? Is it possible? Even in the letter, some governors from the North are still missing. It's obvious Buhari has failed in this his experiment. If he wasn't thinking of a northerner, I doubt if he'll need the govs to tell him power should go south. Don't forget, even for the natl chair, it was El-Rufai that did the so-called arrangement Who is missing except Yahaya Bello? |

I say this cos it’s extremely rare for prominent northern politicians to willingly want to allow the south to hold the presidency. Then they all japa to PDP abi APC/PDP no difference |

Upworkwriter007: lol, if ACN block makes this choice, we all know where it'll swing. Yep, however APC will be doing itself a disservice to let Southern zoning go to a Muslim candidate. Implicit in zoning arrangement is that South is Christian and North is Muslim. Tinubu needs to confirm how he will balance the ticket to engender confidence |

Osinbajo Vs Tinubu then
I'm veering toward Osinbajo if Buhari is in control, but cannot rule out Tinubu if he is the one pulling the Northern Governors strings
One thing for sure, North always move as one whether they are giving or taking

Dvdpity: No its not Ukrainian lands. These lands belongs to Russia but Russia gave it to Ukraine during the fall of the Soviets union. After the coup of 2014 Ukrainian nationalists doesn't want russian people again. And these russian people are occupying, donbass, khoerson, mykolaiv, Odessa Kharkov, denipro and Poltava. Ukraine also banned them from speaking Russian language. When the donbass people declared their independence from Ukraine. Ukrainian government declared them terrorist and unleashed mayhem on them for 8 good yrs. Over 15,000 russian people were killed. If its you what will you do to save these people. . How can Donbass with 39% Russian population declare independence? You read a lot of nonsense Even Crimea which is 65% Russian voted for Ukraine independence in 1991 As terms for giving up their nukes in 1992, Russia signed an agreement to respect the borders and sovereignty of Ukraine There is no former Soviet country without a sizeable ethnic Russian population. Latvia is 40% ethnic Russian and Kazakhstan is 35% ethnic Russian as an example Russia only remember they have ethnic population in other countries when there is oil and gas under the ground as was discovered in Donbass and Crimea in 2011 (below) which is what made Russia start undermining Ukraine's sovereignty. They are thieves. Some Nigerians deserve the leadership they have, for supporting annexation of land by force against International norms established since the 2nd World War.

Belgians know that hence their celebration when they came third during the last WC. They have never been favorite in any tournament, they just had high win rate generally hence their number 1 rating by FIFA then. They had good players in every position except fullback. . . . Kompany, Aldeweireld, Verthongen, Dembele, Witsel, Meertens, Lukaku aside Hazard, KDB and Courtois. They just didn't have a good coach during their golden era |

iyke2frankeze: 20% of a country almost half of African land mass is too small for you. Abi? Russia and Ukraine are blessed with enormous land mass. Nigeria is larger than Ukraine by 50% oga Russia was already in control of circa 6 or 7% of Ukraine before the war (Crimea and 40% of Donbass held by seperatists). This is slow progress despite scorched earth tactics
