bolu96: Thank you doc but can you be specific on some of the food please? Carbs especially fufu and starchy foods But if your metabolism is too fast, you just have to wait till you cross 40 for your metabolism to slow down Some few with extremely fast metabolism like my uncle, he crossed 60 and still can't gain weight. I'm the opposite, I average probably 1,500 calories per day, and still quite heavy, my body grabs any food I put into it. I fast 20 hours a day and eat 2 small meals between 5pm and 9pm. |

afrodoc: They are right. It is easier to burn glucose than fat. While running your body can’t wait for the fat to be burnt into your energy so it takes the glucose.
The other issue though is that running makes you lose more total calories.
So you lose more fat proportionately by walking. You lose more total calories by running. Yeah it's becoming the accepted wisdom that walking is better for fat loss than running. I also notice if I do a run, the kind hunger wey go blow me for night, I will start craving anything sweet and probably eat more glucose than I burnt running. Sometimes I will be waking up midnight with burning sensation to put glucose in my blood by quickly eating sweet or chocolate then fall back asleep. |

raumdeuter: For me. Walking is easier to incorporate in lifestyle than running and it's easier on the joints too. Exactly, you can build walking into your lifestyle As you age, you will start to drop running for your joints sake. I only run for Monday football and maybe once every other week. For cardio I mostly use calisthenics classes and football. When my schedule doesn't allow me to attend classes, I use the stairmaster which is the best equipment in the gym. In 10 minutes you will work your heart majorly without any joint pain associated with running. If my week is busy I will just do 30 mins stairmaster which is equivalent to climbing about 125 floors, 7 mins biceps, 7 mins triceps and I'm done for the day. That's 45 mins in and out. If I go through busy periods like budget setting period where I don't have time for 2 months, just 3 of these 30 min stairmaster a week will keep me in the exact same cardio fitness as if I was training fully 5 or 6 times a week and playing football regularly. |

afrodoc: Weight loss comes from net calorie deficit.
The more you eat, the more calories you gain.
The more you exercise (plus your basal metabolism) the more calories you lose.
The amount of weight you can lose comes from subtracting the latter from the former.
It works like a profit and loss table. Every bit of physical activity counts as calories and adds up in the loss column. Every bit of food you eat counts as calories adds up in the profit column.
The difference is that the food adds up easily to plenty calories and while the exercise does not add up to plenty calories easily.
Diet is more important in weight loss but exercise is not useless. Exercise also has other health benefits beyond weight loss. Many gurus say that walking puts your body in a state of relying on fat for energy as opposed to running which targets blood glucose. What's your take on that? |

Come on guy, I comot my smartwatch at 5.30pm when I got home and was already on 7,800 steps just walking around the office and walking on lunch break. Just going to work should achieve your 4,800 steps daily naturally. |

When NFF is ready to rebuild Super Eagles, they should get a decent foreign coach and have scouts go all over Europe to scout for decent Midfielders that can be used to build the core of the new team.
Our midfield play is just so wack! Without sorting our midfield play we will just be parading big name strikers while we fail to win average teams either in Africa or on the international scene I'm still wondering who Rafael Onyedika offended |

IjeBos: Yes, I took actual classes wholly devoted to Probability and Probability theory as part of my degree.
Where did you say you got your "Math" degree again? You keep sounding like you don't have one.
Bwahahahah @ this post. Jesus Christ, please stop talking. You're trying so hard to catch me in something, you're instead exposing yourself. Probability is a core subject, not something you "take classes in" like a Physiotherapist claiming they took classes in Logic or Philosophy My degree is Maths with Economics. You would never hear me say I took classes in MicroEconomics or MacroEconomics. It is assumed and without choice and a fundamental part of the degree. That's how you know the posers. If you actually had any grounding in probability, you would dial down your tall tales. For example, 4% of black people stopped by Police alleged misconduct in a recent survey. You managed to be part of that 4% 6 TIMES! You then came to UK and broke statistical records in a short space of time. ODOGWU! |

IjeBos: You can go impress Bemeruca with your made up "probabilities". I actually took classes on probability theory. You "took classes"? Your audio degree is in Computer Engineering, Economics and Maths The Maths in that degree is not classes you take but a fundamental part of your degree Everytime you open your mouth you expose yourself Couldnt care less about Tim Scott a politician whose stock in trade is peddling narratives, just like he stood there with Trump lying brazenly about Jerome Powells contract spending. You and him are 5 and 6. And neither did he cry rãcism or guns drawn on him in his claim. You even spread your tentacles to fly-by visit to UK (as if it wasn't implausible enough) where most of us have covered hundreds of thousands of miles in this country without even a greeting from Police. |

IjeBos: The first class in math is making up probability assumptions, pulling them from his a__. Why don't you just make it .75 probability. Sounds better, no? Call it 0.75 and raise that to the power 6 to get the probability of it happening to you 6 times, and see why you are tøø dense up-ståirs to lïé plausibly. Ndi Harvard. You even flew to UK to immediately experience something my popsie who has been in UK since 1970 has never experienced |
