donstan18:Zidane can't be dragged by central midfielders of his era when it comes to productivity. Zidane played in 4-4-2 era and his stats stand up against all his peers in the same position in the same era. Even from a different era where midfielders were not goalscorers, Zidane has 95 league goals while Iniesta has 35. That's nearly 3 to 1. How can someone come from a different era where the expectations are different and flog you 3 to 1 |
donstan18:It does not matter. What matters is what you do when you get there. How long did it take Drogba and Kante to break into elite football? Iniesta is not the one that helped Xavi break into first team. By the way it's not like Xavi has not been a useful first team player before then, just know he was competing against Deco for the same position who was also a don himself. |
donstan18:Xavi was never useless without Iniesta Iniesta player left wing for Spain and Xavi ran that midfield with other men from Marcos Senna to Busquets to Alonso to Fabregas, Xavi never failed to run midfield for Spain. Iniesta was never part of the Spanish central midfield, he was a left winger for Spain. But as you rightly observed, Iniesta was useless without Xavi after Xavi left the scene. |
Debroslink:Keep kwayet about Iniesta fluky assist against a weak 10 man Arsenal team. Yeah, we can see Iniestas impact in the goals and assists column. Impact of a carryalong Eunuch. Any AM with his level of impact would have been sent on loan to second division in any other club.
|
Vero4u:Yes indeed. The luckiest carryalong of all time showing off the fruits of other people's labour.

Up a few hundred $ on positions that opened over the weekend on BTC at $35k and $34k and Matic at 1.37. Hoping to exit anywhere between 5 and 10% profit |
GRACEGLORY:Are you on Etoro? This is Etoro chat platform. I've slowly withdrawn from Etoro over the last few weeks as I've gotten more comfortable with the Bïnance platform, and because the Bïnance spread is a lot better. In this time of 5-10% movements, I see no benefit in trying to overcome the 2.5-3% spreads on Etoro |
Timiofak:You are discussing with someone named basilico, probably named after The basilica. That's why I decided to respect his religion and step off. |
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Unproductive Willian - 38 league goals in 8 years in EPL Productive Iniesta - 35 league goals in 16 years in LaLiga. Lord, send me a helper like you did for Iniesta so I can sit before Kings
|
BlueAngel444:When you play with Messi who can contribute 90 goals in a calendar year, trophies are bound to locate you. When you play with Xavi who dominates and assists in all the big games in international tournaments, trophies are bound to locate you When you play with MSN who will score 122 goals in a season, trophies are bound to locate you, even though you went a full calendar year in the league that season with no goal or assist. Monkey dey work, baboon dey chop. If a Chelsea AM does one full calendar year with no goal or assist, he will be sent on loan to Middlesbrough. Eunuch IniEdo fans should calm down before we truly open the books on that carryalong. He must be a good Christian, the type that goes to Church every Sunday to tap into the Pastor's prophesy that "The Lord is sending you a helper". That guy has been helped his whole career. If we open the books on him, his stats are beyond disgraceful. Below is from the same season when MSN won treble for him. And they want God-fearing people to give him accolades for being a carryalong.

Debroslink:As I thought, no single individual award for Iniesta before Xavi established midfield dominance for Spain and Barca in 2008. Xavi was recognised as a star before him in Euro 2008. Anything he built for Spain or Barca, it was Xavi holding his hand all along. If Xavi had not provided all those assists to win all those games for Spain, Iniesta would be nowhere. In 2010 World Cup, Spain won 1-0 in 2nd round, Quarter final and Semifinal and Xavi provided all the assists. Iniesta was just forming activity, then steals all the headlines with one lucky break in the final. Same way the carryalong went one year in Laliga with no goal and assist, being carried along all through by MSN, only to come and assist in the final likes he's been contributing to the season. Euro 2012, he had no goal or assist. Xavi and David Silva were assisting and scoring all through including two assists for Xavi in the final, only for the activity former to win a disgraceful polling booth award after Xavi has cooked all the food. The biggest 419 he played his whole career was getting commentators to keep calling his name along with Xavis when describing Barca and Spain's midfield dominance. He didn't contribute nothing to it with his measly pass rate. Score he no score, assist he no assist, control game, he no control, just living off Xavi his whole career. As an AM, he was an activity former and a carryalong. His productivity stats would make some defenders ashamed, that's why we call him Eunuch Iniesta, an AM that can go a whole calendar year without a goal or assist. An AM that can't outscore defenders or out-assist central midfielders. He was just another Isco before Xavi changed his life.
|
Debroslink:When did Iniesta become a star? Is it not after 2008, when Xavi had already become a star and the best player in Euro 2008. Iniesta was never a star before Xavi, just an Isco. If you can name one individual award of note Iniesta won before 2008, I will send you $100 tomorrow. Iniesta is a leach of Xavis midfield dominance. When an AM cannot compete with his fellow AMs and is dragging productivity stats with defenders, he will leave his fellow AMs and be trying to steal shine from his teammates who made him what he is in football
|
Debroslink:Sharrap dia. No one cares about Iniesta Euro 2012 player of the tournament with zero goals and zero assists all tournament. When Italy were being spanked by 4 goals, it was Xavi providing two of the assists. Keep kwayet about that disgraceful polling booth award. Xavi 2008 award is backed all through by assists and by midfield dominance. It does not matter if Xavi was only recognised in 2008. Kante only came to prominence at 25 and Zidane was only recognised by a big club at 24. What matters is how dominant you are when you take centre stage. From the moment Aragones made Xavi centre stage in 2008 and Barca copied, Iniestas life changed. Iniesta had been playing with Van Bommel and Deco since 2004 and not a single person put him higher than an Isco of those days. He was Isco till Xavis era of dominance turned him to Zidane. Before Xavi brought the dominance in 2008, Iniesta would never be mentioned with top midfielders. When nominations for WPOTY or Midfielder of the year go out, nobody even looked at When Xavi arrived to cut soap for Iniesta in 2008 was when Iniestas life changed. Even for Spain, Xavi was the difference maker while Iniesta will be taking polling booth award with no quantifiable contribution on the pitch. Xavi: 7 goals and assists in Spain knockout matches including 3 assists in finals. 2008 Euro final vs Germany 1-0, xavi assist, 2012 Euro final vs Italy 4-0, 2 xavi assists, 2010 WC semi vs Germany 1-0, xavi assist, 2010 WC QF vs portugal 1-0 xavi assist. 2010 WC 2nd rounnd vs Paraguay, 1-0, xavi assist Iniesta: Assist against Russia in 3-0 win and 1 World Cup final goal after being carried along all tournament with no contribution. Iniesta should pray to Xavis picture every night before going to sleep instead of trying to steal flowers from his grave. If I bring passes per game stat here that show that Xavi was making 100 passes per game while Iniesta was making 50-60 every season, you will see that the commentators usual refrain of the Xavi-Iniesta midfield was the greatest lie ever told to football watchers. There was only one name that should be attached to that midfield dominance and it was XAVI ALONE. That is even evidenced by Iniestas inability to continue that midfield dominance after Xavi bowed out. |
hensben:Pull up 2010 World Cup stats to silence them. Alonso ran that midfield. 120 passes per game. |
Debroslink:Will you keep kwayet. Here comes Iniesta still trying to live off Xavi even after death. In Euro 2008, Xavi made all the assists and was named Player of the tournament. In that tournament, he set the template for how Spain and Barca will be successful going forward. Xavi cut soap for everyone from Senna to Busquets to Fabregas to Iniesta. None of them could reprise the same thing without Xavi. All of them were asked to replace Xavi. None could. Fabregas was given the opportunity to do so, he failed. They later dropped Iniesta to Xavi position to do the same thing, he couldn't. Barca had to rely on the most lethal front 3 of the last 20 years in MSN to win that last UCL. When Xavi was making 100 passes per game, Iniesta was making 60. They will call it Xavi-Iniesta midfield. After Xavi left they asked Iniesta to do the same thing, he couldn't. Barca midfield was no longer dominant. Instead of facing his fellow AMs who were scoring and assisting in the hundreds while Iniesta was dragging stats with John Terry, you want to leave his fellow AMs and come and steal Xavis glory. Iniesta is the luckiest footballer that ever lived. 2010 World Cup, Xavi was making all the assist, Iniesta did nothing only to come and steal the headlines in the final with his only contribution. 2012 Euros the mofo didn't even drop a single assist or goal. That's how in 2015 season the mofo went a full calendar year in the league without a goal or assist only to come and assist in the final and make it seem he's been contributing all season. Xavi cut soap for all these boys from Euro 2008 where he set the template on how they would play. He controlled, he dictated, he dominated that midfield. None of them did. They were only periphery to what Xavi was doing. From 2008 till retirement, there was only one game Xavi played where Barca did not have the majority of possession. After Xavi bowed out, that midfield dominance turned to shït. Here we are trying to give Xavi his flowers and the career leach Iniesta is still trying to steal those flowers from Xavis grave instead of talking about how his stats measure up to equivalent AMs of his era. We know how Xavis stats in CM measure up to all the CMs of his era. He should go and face his fellow AMs and stop trying to live off Xavi until the grave.

swiz123:Xabi is a second midfielder not a primary DM therefore I judge him different than a typical DM. Also that Real midfield was characterised by wide open vacant spaces with Ozil not contributing to the midfield.. remember I said being dribbled can also be a function of operating in too much space which encourages opposition to attempt more dribbles knowing they won't run into your teammate after knocking it past you. |
Kilishihunter:Busquets made his Barca debut in 2009. Which one you dey sef I have said that most of those Barca players are run on narrative. This one probably thinks Busquets follow for Euro 2008 and UCL 2009 win. Xavi done bless a lot of scrubs sha ![]() |
Melvyn11:Messi, Xavi and Dani Alves were the best in their positions in their era. All the others were very good players though overrated into being the best in their position. The only wack player was Victor Valdes. Busquets was wack (as a DM) but very good technically. As a CM, he would be very good. Iniesta was a very good player but could not compare to other AMs of his era. There were some very underrated players in that team too who were solid as a rock and helped Barcelona when game went physical. I am talking Seydou Keita and Eric Abidal. |
Jodera:Busquet will not even displace an Oriol Romeu right now. Many things exposed Busquet, not only faster pace of football - including losing Xavi who controls the ball for him so opponents can't attack him. Nothing to do with age. When a fancy ball playing DM wins UCL, we never hear the last of it from ninnies. When Casemiro type DM was winning UCL back to back, nobody came touting it as the superiority of combative DM. Most titles are won by combative DMs but when a Busquets, Rodri or Jorginho win something, we won't hear word. Who told you Hojberg is not a passing DM? Just like Fernandinho I look for DM that can pass and hustle. First time I saw Hojberg was live at Etihad stadium playing for Bayern Vs Man City. He was an AM then, and he had a lot of pace plus good passing ability. I was impressed with his transition to DM over the last two years that's why I pinpointed him as a potential signing for Chelsea. When it comes to passing, Hojberg is one of the best. He made the 2nd most passes in EPL this season behind Rodri |
Kilishihunter:Alonso could not displace Busquet? Did you knock your head? Alonso was a starter for Spain - midfield 3 was Busquet, Alonso, Xavi and Alonso was the controller in their world cup triumph, averaging 120 passes per game while Busquets average like 80 |
Jodera:Stop using age excuse. Busquets been wack since his mid twenties. It's not age. Football changed . . . and he is not equipped for modern era. He is no longer facing Rooney, Giggs, Lampard, Scholes, Malouda etc who will sit back for 90 minutes and advance slowly He is now facing faster players who press high and will run him to shege such as Mane, Salah, Wijnaldum type players. Same as Fabregas, he belongs to a previous era and is completely wack in this era. When people's favourite players have been wack since their mid twenties, they conveniently reach for age excuse. Nothing to do with age, he is just redundant in modern football. |
popizaino:Which kain talk be this. What does having left foot have to do with being a good centreback? |
The looming death cross has now taken place. Now let's see where we go from here.

In comparison to BTC, Sol, Matic, BNB and ADA are holding up well and are the only alts I will be trading outside BTC. Almost every other coin is following a straight downward trend in comparison. Below is ETC daily chart. You can also see this trend in almost every other coin like XRP, YFI and co - just a straight line downward with a steady gradient. However when you check Sol, BNB, Matic, ADA, you don't have this straight-line down. You see stronger bounces when BTC bounces etc after the initial dump. These coins had already been on massive rallies based on fundamentals before the big BTC dump and it would seem they have more believers. They are also above the lows (on the daily candle close) they hit when BTC had its first slide. Whereas most other Alts are below their lows. If BTC recovers, they are likely to be the first alts to recover with BTC.

BlueAngel444:Rodri and Jorginho are both wack. The advantages Rodri has over Jorginho is strength. He can shoulder a player off the ball unlike Jorginho. He can also ride a player on his back and spin out better than Jorginho, and he is useful at defending setpieces and winning aerial long balls into midfield. But I can't pick any of them for my DM position. |
Averaging in slowly anywhere between here and $32k Just bought some Matic, looking for just 10% swing |
basilico:Go and tell Stormy Daniels and Melania Trump |
BlueAngel444:I'm talking about him playing 9 for Chelsea vs him playing other positions. I did not watch the first half of the Portugal game |
basilico:Pornography is not a crime, pedophilia is |
Havertz10:You will soon change your name to Havertz9 I must admit Havertz impressed me as a 9 but as a midfielder, man was a flop |
