tamonokare:Nice work. Can you develop tokens? |
swiz123:He is the third best in his team. Every other player in that team had a poor season apart from him, Kane and Son. That's the reason for their league position. 3 players cannot make a team. Hojberg performance this season would win Chelsea POTY for the past two seasons that they had to give to Kovacic and Mount in the absence of a serious contender. Jorginho was nowhere near the conversation despite the bar being set so low. Even in passing, Hojberg has the 2nd highest pass volume this season. Jorginhos deficiencies are clear, he is a ninny. But his so called strength of passing is not even above Hojberg. Someone who would throw passes against Sheffield United yet get bullied by common Nakamba and McGinn, Ndidi and Tielemans. Jorginho has no strengths my friend, unless you are talking against Sheffield United, Newcastle or Palace. |
popizaino:Well I agree with your point about his attacking transition play but you have always had blind spot when it comes to defensive responsibilities. It is good you kuku said you don't know anything about the defensive responsibilities of that position, which is why you are equally off the mark when it comes to Fabregas and Mikel in those positions. My view on DM is simple. A DM passing, receiving of the ball and defending must be 7/10, at the very least 6/10. I don't need a 10/10 in one attribute and 0/10 in the other. I also believe the person in that position must be fairly fast to stop counterattacks as every modern team plays highline now and their weak area is getting caught on counterattack when they have escort DMs like Jorginho, Busquets and Rodri. If you don't have this pace in that position, it will often force the manager to deviate from attacking set-up and set-up low block with team sitting deep so that the escort doesn't get exposed. This is what TT has been doing for Jorginho. Our team can never move forward and establish an attacking pattern of play with such DM. Escort like Rodri is lucky Pep is willing to take the risk of keeping the highline, but he has better ball keepers to mitigate those counterattacks such that opportunities for counterattack are minimised, and superfast defenders like Walker and Cancelo to mitigate against Rodris absence on any counterattack while Rodri is still on halfway line jogging back slowly. |
swiz123:Not that Fernandes is a good tackler but the highest contributor to the reason he gets dribbled is because Manure play in two phases. Their front 4 is always separated from their back 6 so it is easy to run past Fernandes and know that you have 15 yards of space to run into before you meet Fred and McTominay. No other team in EPL has such gap between midfield and attack. Anything Fernandes does to stop someone running into that space is a token effort. Him self knows he can't stop it 9 times out of 10 cos the space is too much. On the other hand, nobody will bother to dribble Jorginho knowing that within 3 yards, you will bump into Rudiger, Thiago or Chris. Put Jorginho in the kind of space Hojberg operates in, and every player in the Premier League will just knock the ball past him and rãpe him. That's what makes him an escort, and he practically avoids one-on-one and hides within a community of defenders around him every game to avoid such situations, preferring to point to others than engage. Hojberg on the other hand operates in space and is often in a do-or-die situation with more riding on his ability to stop the man one-on-one. On the other hand, everytime Jorginho face someone one-on-one in space, we get a good gif to laugh at eg him Vs Robertson at Anfield last season or the Son situation donstan posted earlier. Intelligence ko, intelligence ni. Brain of Einstein can't help you when you are physically deficient. Everybody will rãpe Jorginho one-on-one, so he prefers to hide amongst bodies and you call that intelligent. When has Jorginho ever left the midfield to engage someone on the byline when a fullback is out of position. I hope you know that's one of DMs primary duties, something DMs like Fabinho do multiple times per game. Makelele was known for that too. I've never seen Jorginho on line, he will rather call for centreback to go out there, breaking our defensive structure. Last time even Rodri came out to byline to meet a slow striker like Kane, he was running behind Kane looking up to heavens for salvation. That's escort 101. |
swiz123:Fernandes is not on tackles chart so getting dribbled past is not an indicator of his style of play. Like I said, when you see a player on both charts, you are talking style of play not inefficiency. Fernandes getting dribbled is easy - he plays in an area of the pitch with plenty space and tries to press up so easy to drift past him into space. You are more likely to try to dribble past a man who is isolated without teammates around him, and that's why Fernandes is often dribbled because he keeps too much space between himself and his DMs due to how high he plays. swiz123:This is an asinine conclusion. Charts are against other players, not against ones own performance. You could be top of the chart for tackles with 2 tackles per game, and 10th for dribble past with 10 dribbles past or game. Is that a marginal efficiency? |
swiz123:And yet Jorginho doesn't not have intelligence to play as a DM with two defenders behind him. He needs 3 defenders in order not get rãped. I mentioned Makelele, don't think he can't tackle. He was top tackler in Spain but changed his style when he got to England cos he has Tiago and Essien to harrass players, then he just pick the ball. In Madrid, Guti and co abandoned midfield for him so he had to tackle.like a.madman to cover gaps. All those Rodri, Busquets are escorts just benefitting off the fact their team keeps 80% possession. There are players that can do both. Fernandinho who you would call a thug anchored City to 99 points or so whereas Rodri is a comedown from that. You think Hojberg who is almost matching Rodri for volume of passes at Spurs will not match him at City, while offering better defensive stability to stop counterattacks? Is it not to pass ball left, right, centre, abi is Rodri dropping defense splitting passes like Pirlo? He is just playing give I give.which Fernandinho did same before him while offering better defensive cover. Bring Rodri to Chelsea and you would see how useless he is. Take Jorginho to City and you would be hailing him as your favourite DM. Those are unique situations for those players within a style of play. Just because Pep can get the best players in every position and dominate the ball does not mean we have to be stüpid and try and copy him by putting escort DM in our team. Jorginho is the perfect example, a useless player who can't make top 5 in Chelsea POTY where nobodies like Mount and Kovacic are winning it. Look how useless Busquets became when all that structure was taken away from him for the last 6 years. Try turning Chelsea into a poor man's Barca and we will become as trophyless as Roma, Villarreal and other poor men's Barca. This is the difference between fantasists like yourself and realists like me. |
swiz123:Ndidi is on the chart of people getting dribbled past. Season below, he was the top tackler in the Premier League and third on Dribbled Past. Once again, you don't know how to interpret stats. All you have done is showed us the players style of play, not his weakness. And Allan was called the best ball recoverer in Europe by Ancelotti.
|
One doesn't have to be a massive tackler to be a good DM. Makelele did not tackle much. However ranking high on Dribbled Past chart and Tackles chart speaks more about your style of play. If a high energy tackler is on Dribbles Past chart, it just means that his style of play is to harrass and engage, not because he is useless. |
swiz123:Allan is top for being dribbled past per game, and also third for tackles per game. Which one is it? Is he a bad tackler? Allan engages so he gets dribbled, simple, while he also wins tackles. Jorginho does neither, hiding on all the tables like he hides on the pitch off-camera in defensive situations. Monkey dey work, baboon dey chop. If you see anyone topping dribbled past tables, you are also likely to see them in tackles tables. Ndidi often appears in both tables. You don't know how to interpret stats.
|
donstan18:The reason I rate him is he can do both. I don't like any weakness in my CMs, whether technically or physically. There's a reason why he is only second to Rodri in passes this season. Till date, a DM partner for Kante is a need for Chelsea cos Kovacic does not have discipline to play there and Jorginho lacks the physical tools. That's why we are still being linked with Rice. Hojberg would have solved that problem for cheap, and would not need 3 defenders behind him to even look like a DM. |
swiz123:This is rubbish. Most escort work is done tracking a man off the ball. Failing to keep up with a man off the ball who could then receive a pass to score or assist is not a dribble past. It's just escort work. 90% of escorting failures happen off the ball, not on the ball. |
donstan18:Hojberg and Kante will be just fine. Hojberg is a decent passer too |
Hojberg finished 3rd in Spurs POTY awards behind Kane and Some Fans award, he also finished 3rd. I wonder when Chelsea fans will consider Jorginho rather than 80% of them wanting to chase him away with sticks and stones. He is so useless that Kovacic and Mount of all people have been winning award and he wasn't considered. Imagine Jorginho anchoring a back 4 defence. Na die we dey. TT is just protecting him with back 3 for now. He is a liability in the long term. |
Melvyn11:Passes, Hojberg is bossing him. Tackles, Hojberg is bossing him. What is Jorginhos use case if he cannot outpass a so called ginger player. Hojberg has been in EPL 5 years with 842 duels won. Jorginho has been 3 years with 368 duels won. Hojberg has been in EPL 5 years with 1,218 recoveries, Jorginho has been in EPL 3 years with 689 recoveries. Should we help you with Maths? Passing, Assists, tackling, running, Hojberg is ahead on everything.
|
Melvyn11:Average passes per Game, Hojberg top 10. No sign of Jorginho Average tackles per game, Hojberg top 20. No sign of Jorginho. Jorginho no fit defend better, he no dey even pass more than Hojberg which is supposed to be his specialty as an escort. Where are you getting your stats from?
|
Melvyn11:Sometimes even cameraman leaves them behind. That's why I say the work of an escort is marked by their absence, not by their presence. |
Melvyn11:I counted 8 black stars for Hojberg. How many did you count for Jorginho? Do you need an optician? Count and tell me. Bear in mind anything you see Jorginho doing is in community defence with 3 defenders behind him who must have harrried the opponent into congested area for Jorginho to do clean work. Hojberg work is done in space, on his own strength. |
Melvyn11:Your answer below donstan18: |
Melvyn11:No, escorts don't engage because they don't get there. Every player loses approximately half their duels. The more you duel, the more you lose. Also the more you win. Escorts don't duel. Fourth picture is Ngolo Kante duels showing he loses half his duels 1st and 2nd picture shows Wilfred Ndidi and Fernandinho placing high on Dribbled Past per game stats in previous seasons. 3rd picture shows Allan being dribbled past the most per game last season. You will never see a püssy escort like Jorginho on such lists, because he is always strolling 5 yards behind or outside camera frame. Usually when you see a player on Dribbled past list, check tackles made, he will also be there. All that means is his style of play is to engage opponents frequently. The transvestite should keep exposing his poor grasp of stats
|
Passes gon. Number two in the league Tackles. Number 3 Escorts who never need to be dribbled, who just jog while opposition run past them will never show up on dribbled stats
|
Melvyn11:When you escort all day, nobody dribbles you
|
Melvyn11:That's how we know players that engage with opposition frequently unlike escorts that will be jogging 5 yards behind and never engage to get dribbled. Plus those who play more matches against those who chop bench. |
ApostleBlack:Train hasn't left. It's still coming back. I'm in same boat. I will buy at 37 or 43 |
6ixT8:Ok, na Carling Cup sure pass |
valenti12:That is to to say if you come on time, you will get a spot. I no fit hold spot past few days. It's too much admin to keep up with who is who. As soon as I confirm you are a top performer or have done well in the past, I send code. I won't keep a list somewhere waiting for people to fill that might not even exercise the code after I send it to them two weeks later, leaving the cup unfilled |
bigx:I'm thinking of buying bog to use Bogged finance sniper feature sef. The only problem is they got hacked recently |
Tolu181:No we need all info here. Nairaland money cannot move market |
Na wa oh Someone will sell position and go to sleep thinking it might drop overnight, then the Chinese will come and take the train further away. Now we are looking for reentry again |
6ixT8:Be ready 1st July. Spots dey fill up quick. Did you participate this season? |
Ibime:Closed my positions for today at 5% profit. Have set orders a bit lower than my previous orders for a retest of $32-$35k. BeeTeeCee struggling at that $38k mark. |
SodO9:Better people dey talk Eph12 sef dey chook mouth. Well I agree he will improve next season, you can't score lower than F9 |
bigx:Slight correction. Global GDP is $90trln and that is produced within a year. So the total value of the world is in the gazillions. Gold Marketcap alone is $11trln |
