It appears the club is listening to offers for Kante and Jorginho. It may explain the interest in Rice. I think someone is thinking like I am thinking that this might be the last chance to sell Kante for serious bucks. I don't want to sell Kante but I understand the financial logic behind selling Kante and Jorginho and replacing with Rice and Gilmour.

I'm OK with selling Kante if replacements can be found however I see little or no market for Jorginho except loan market this Covid era.

I just think Ampadu was the deputy in that position who would be much relied upon given Kantes recent injury record. After all these attacking signings, we should not go and leave ourselves short in a crucial position. All the best attackers in the world can never cover up the lack of a functional DM, and Roman would not care about lack of team balance when typing Lampard sack letter. As things stand without Ampadu, one injury to Kante and we are back to an escort midfield.

Players like Jorginho and Fabregas shouldn't be expected to run 90mins 38epl games and not drop. I doubt even Pirlo would survive such. Lampard just needs to find a way (which doesn't include buying Rice to play DM). Jorginho needs an Allan to partner him, a fit Allan. See those passes abeg

Ampadu has zero chance of starting in midfield, where he would be competing with Norwood for the playmaker role.

He has a decent chance of ousting Chris basham from the RcB role though, if he applies himself correctly.

Norwood is also their set-piece taker. They are still rotating Lundstram and Berge so he can't play there either.

I just can't see them prioritising him over their tried and tested players, not even Basham, besides I feel he should forget about defence and focus on midfield. He is not tall or fast enough to be a World Class defender but has a chance of doing so at DM

Even In places like Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg English is quite common. The Baltic Nations of Lithuania and Latvia too.

It's the countries like Them Armenia, Azerbaijan, the former Yugoslavia, Romania, Ukraine Moldova etc that I'm not sure about.

And Portugal plus the French part of Belgium. The Flemish part (Brussels) are cool with English. French people are generally snobbish about English. If you see a French Canadian for example and ask them question in English they could easily tell you they don't speak, but if they are in a situation where they need to speak English, they will easily speak it.

Switzerland speak 3 languages already - French, Italian and German so they easily add English.

Them small countries like Lithuania have no choice but to speak English. Who get time to learn their language, even out of courtesy

Go to countries like The Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Estonia, Finland, Germany etc etc and you'll be able to get by with very little language issues.
