They are dragging Airmark today oh. SkimpleD, prayers are needed please |
airmark:No need going into this with you. Court records are available. The man got his patent in 1999. If Mobil thought they were infringing his patent, they would have switched to another anti-corrosive paint in 1999. They will not be liable for paint used before then. The man I'm sure does not even know the chemical constituency of the paint Mobil is using post 1999 to ascertain patent infringement. The man used una head to calculate billions for barrels of oil that has nothing to do with the matter at hand which is worth very little and easily replaced by other anti-corrosive paints if needed. |
raumdeuter: ![]() Chei. Airmark is being dragged today ![]() |
airmark:Yes, he has a patent that has nothing to do with what Mobil is using. Re-reading the Commandclem case is even laughable. The man claimed his paint would stop oil barrels from corroding when in contact with salt water on the high sea. Do you think there is only one paint that is anti-corrosive. We have millions of metal containers on high sea everyday, why are they not using his paint? I can walk into my local hardware store now and buy 20 different makes of anti-corrosive paint. If even he proves Mobil were using his paint, they will just switch to another paint used by other people. They could even change one or two elements in the paint without breach of patent. Secondly what is the worth of the Barrel container that made foolish Nigerians value the Ponzi at billions of dollars. I even thought they were valuing the oil inside the barrels, not knowing it is just the container. A man told you he invented paint to stop barrel rusting, valued it at billions of dollars and told you to invest guaranteeing you N30K per month returns and you couldn't see the scam from onset. Tiri gbosa for King Professor Clement Uwemedimo, using Nigerians head long before MMM. |
airmark:The company did no trading, so cannot have any profits to share with shareholders. Clear proof that it was a Ponzi scheme, and any dividends you received is from new contributions to the ponzi It was set up a Ponzi scheme from the get-go, not to fight any patent case. The legal angle is just to reel you into the Ponzi. |
elrony:It was not donations jare. Contributing made you a co-patentee with the promise of a cash-out when the lawsuit is won. |
nihilistjnr:Commandclem na one guy wey claim he invent anti-stick paint for the inside of crude oil barrels so oil companies don't lose a percentage of crude oil sticking to the barrel. He claimed Mobil stole the idea and encouraged Nigerians to invest in his lawsuit which will yield billions. At least MMM returned money in the early days while Commandclem was basically investing in a lawsuit that had no legal standing and no base for winning the case. The guy started chopping lawsuit money, na so he turn am into Ponzi scheme. Nigerians piled hundreds of millions into the scheme in the hope of sharing the lawsuit winnings. To hear say Airmark do Commandclem join weak me sha. |
airmark:So you did Commandclem as.well? I thought Dayo was.joking about Commandclem all this.while ![]() |
Rudigers birthday cake from Chelsea. No Yaya Toure stories. Notice they chose to adorn the cake with the flag of his home country Sierra Leone rather than the Nazi flag.

VULCAN:The proof is in the pudding, not all this naive rambling you typed above. OBJ sanctioned Alams, Fayose etc without batting an eyelid cos he knows there is no threat from opposition. Buhari will.not sanction Ganduje when he needs him to hold off Kwankwaso in Kano. It would be political suicide to do so. That is not to say he would, but the importance of Ganduje to his electoral fortunes immediately took Presidential sanction off the table. A two party system is supposed to be a battle of ideology. Only a foolish person would think a non-ideological party in opposition is good for Nigeria. Both are just playing a campaign of calumny and ethnic division so they can take control of the national cake. . . . and is very dangerous for Nigeria. True opposition from Civil Society is drowned out. Instead what we have is lies and ethnic politics from PDP masquerading as.opposition. Where opposition in the past was spearheaded by true Patriots in Gani, Soyinka, Fela et al, now National discussion is drowned out by the FFKs, Fayoses, Wendell Simlin and other ingrates. And someone will say such opposition is good for the country. Nonsense. I believe in benevolent dictatorship or one party state if that is not available, until Nigerians start behaving like reasonable human beings. Money meant for our development is subverted to fight elections. It is no surpise.that almost all of our major infrastructure were built during military regime whether you are.talking of dams, bridges, refineries, airports etc. I would rather have 1000 thieves under military regime than 100,000 thieves under our current democracy. Same reason I rather have one party state than 2 where it becomes more difficult to maintain control on reckless greed. Where Babangida crossed Atlantic with ease for 3rd mainland Bridge, democratic dispensations of the last 20 years cannot even cross the river for 2nd Niger Bridge. That's because we practice democracy of settlement, such than no money is left after everyone is settled. It is the same thinking that makes me prefer one central party. My proof is in the pudding, and may go against the popular rhetoric, but I'm only concerned with results. |
onukuguy:You must be right because Diggz lives in Ikoyi ![]() Does he live in Bourdillon, above tennis court? ![]() |
onukuguy:Diggz, your village people don find you reach Nairaland ![]() |
Seun:So you are the real snake enthusiast of Nairaland, and we have been blaming lalasticlala all this while? |
Hidentity:You are wrong. Opposition in Nigeria is not based on ideology but on campaigns of calumny which do nothing for democracy. Most of our problems stem from our Governors. The likes of Yahaya Bello, Rochas and Fayose ran their states into the ground. The Presidency was.powerless to go after them because their ability to deliver their state was needed from the next election. Cast your mind back to how OBJ dealt with Fayose, Alamaesiagha and other errant Governors. He could do that because there was no external threat from another party. Nigeria has been sitting on a.precipe where Governors have been steadily running their states into financial delinquency since 2011. They know as long as their party needs them to deliver, they can do what they like. I would urge you to look at the debt profile.of each state since 2011 till now. http://yourbudgit.com/state-economy/#1 Our politics has become too expensive under 2 party system. Massive bribes and looting of treasury are required to deliver elections where the opposition is formidable. This comes at the expense of development. Both parties have no.ideology. PDP is no opposition to APC. Nothing differentiates them. The only opposition we truly have (should) come from civil society and the press. |

larride:See your man. 37 years old boy sef. He led PCP to 3rd place in the election from his living room in America without even doing 1 day of campaigning. He got over 100,000 votes. This guy must be doing Yahoo in America. Trump should check him well.
|
Elnino4ladies:They should have sacked him after we play them |
Atiku thought Americans will stake their reputation on a mere Customs Officer who became Billionaire by looting indiscriminately His game plan was to heat up foreign powers to intervene. Not only Nigerians chopped his money, Washington lobbyists chopped his money, including American senators to talk nonsense on his behalf. Now that their Government has spoken, they will clean mouth and turn back on him. No way America will risk regional instability after they saw Buharis support. Even if Buhari rigged, they know he still has enough numbers whereby any foreign intervention will burn the country down. They don't want to deal with any regional crisis right now, so Atiku should just chill. |

diggz:If it was just a misunderstanding, he wouldn't be fined with the threat of being dropped next game |
sleekdot:Ah, I grew up behind that Navy barracks na. Ijaw people couldn't really have space in PDP then cos it was upland dominated due to Abachas split of Rivers into Bayelsa that gave upland people the weight of numbers in the new Rivers State so most of the big Ijaw players had to go into opposition by 1999. Remember Marshall Harry. PDP controlled upland then while APP won riverine areas. That Bush boys matter was more of a Kingship tussle between War Canoe houses. Kingship was traditionally reserved for Ado Royal house and they had produced all 8 Kings, but after the 8th King's death, Atekes clan installed King from outside Royal House and Bush boys fought back. That's when PDP weighed in on the matter, supporting Ateke against Bush boys, simultaneously flushing out APP at the same time. |
sleekdot:You sabi Rivers well oh. Bush boys was formed in 1994 to fight Ogoni and Eleme wars. Odili and Sekibo finished them off via Ateke who.used to be a Bush boy himself. Many of them still dey, some are civilians now. I still saw 2 of them on my last trip home. |
sleekdot:Something like that |
A40:Wike and Amaechi can settle easily if people like Tinubu broker peace. They came up together. Amaechi, Dakuku and Wike are all part of the same cosa nostra and all came together to enthrone Odili as Young Turks. They were all aged 33 and under when they mobilised to seize power for Odili. Wike actually had to.falsify his age by 2 years to allow him contest for Obio Akpor LGA in 1999 cos he was too young to run. They organised all together with Odili to take power. Wike took Obio Akpor which was the largest LGA, Amaechi took the house and Dakuku took Opobo. They were the young Turks who enthroned Odili. Amaechi was my next door neighbor in Borokiri in the mid-1990s, when he was a PA to Odili. Dakuku lived in his boysquarters then and Wike lived not far away in Town. Then we used to call Amaechi Uncle Uche whilst Dakuku often stops to.play football with us. This was after Abacha had kicked out 3rd Republic civilian Government where Odili had been Deputy Governor. When their chance came in 1999, they all seized it together as a team. On a more personal note, my Uncle brought these guys into politics in 1992, but they dealt with him severely from 1999 onwards. |
