Ben Bruce stepped down his Bayelsa-East Senate seat based on zoning arrangement in his constituency. And the guy he stepped down for lost the seat to APC.

That means Goodluck Jonathan of Otuoke in Ogbia in Bayelsa East is now represented in the Senate by an APC senator.

How do you go from winning Presidential election in 2011 to not delivering your Senatorial district in 2019.

The INEC chairman quietly told him to submit his letter at INECs office. No one was interested in his funny take-our-letter drama. Yakubu firmly reminded everyone that Atiku's agents signed the results in Borno and Yobe and Adamawa.

And that brings me to it.

Atiku is supposed to be a Fulani man from Jada, Adamawa , northeast Nigeria. His not from the southeast. He is not an Igbo man being victimised by a northern rigging machinery.

The results are eloquent. He was rejected by his kinsmen.

No one is fighting for Atiku in Jada or Adamawa. No one in Adamawa is complaining of card reader issues.

But my brothers from Biafra are banging their heads on the wall swearing that Atiku was cheated in his village.

Wike and Secondus all turned out eye bulging figures from their villages. They are now talking about Atiku as if he were a vulnerable child being exploited by adults.

If Atiku was cheated in a state where he employs half of the state's workforce and no one there has raised a murmur , then something fundamental is amiss.

The truth is that Atiku is not a man of his people.

Let those crying for him respect the wishes of his people. whatever it is let those who have small businesses in Ariaria concentrate on what happened in Aba.

Atiku knows his people. And his people know him.

Akpabio couldn't win in Akwaibom. Ajumobi couldn't win in Oyo. So there is nothing spectacular about Atiku who has never really won anything in the northeast in the last 12 years losing woefully there.

With these numbers in the Senate and House, I'm expecting Wike to start filling in APC form soon in order to try and fulfill his Presidential ambition. Gubernatorial will also be a whitewash meaning PDP will have no more funds to operate. That will.put too.much financial strain on Rivers State and Wike and he will switch sides. He was already begging Buhari that he will give him Presidential if Buhari does not make Gubernatorial hard for him. Wike will try to join APC, mark my words.

APC will simply become the new PDP. SMH.

Those states gap is 1.5m. The final result is 4m difference. As a statesman, Atiku will be applauded if he accepts gracefully rather than heat up the polity and cause riots.

The Atiku I know though is a tiger, not this fluffy image he has created. This is a man that had OBJ prostrating before him during OBJ first term, begging him not to use Shehu Yaradua machinery to impeach him so Atiku (as vice) would become President. . . this is despite the fact the North had already signed peace agreement giving OBJ the Presidency after the death of MKO. This means Atiku is a man that can burn the country down if he can rip up peace agreement between the North and Yorubas for his own ambition.

The 4 states PDP want to be recounted cannot make up the current gap of over 3 million. PDP should do their sums properly and place the phone call.

APC will not field Northern candidate in 2023. Unless you want the party to scatter! PDP will also return to South else the party will scatter as well.

Make we dey look. The last 2 elections show most of the votes are up North. And Almajiri no dey like to vote Southern candidate, so if Dem want win, they have to go to the North. That zoning shït only applies to a one party state. Once you have a 2 party system, it's about which party can outdo the other, and the best way to ensure that is to field Northern candidate against Southern opposition. I think Wike is likely to win PDP ticket. If APC field Yoruba man, a 3rd party will emerge for a Northern candidate.

Buhari is an incompetent, while Atiku is a thief who cares not a hoot about the people. Buhari performance has been extremely disappointing to say the least, but PDP would have done as bad during the oil slump.

Between Atiku and Buhari, I know Atiku as a man who helped bring Customs to it's knees. At a time when most other Government agencies were.still functioning, Customs had become defunct as far back as 1980s as they were all thieves. People used to lose so much at the Ports or have to pay ridiculous bribes back then.

The only one with record of public service is Buhari - Petroleum Trust fund was the last sustained infrastructure development program in Nigeria, and Buhari executed it brilliantly. You cannot have lived in Nigeria in the 1990s and not been touched by it's impact. Many of the roads we use today, school infrastructure etc were last upgraded or built in PTF days. Someone once argued PTF built 144,000km with about 80,000km in North and 60,000km in South saying Buhari is biased. I said stop right there. No Government has built even 10,000km of road since then.

As Petroleum minister, he built 3 refineries, they said why build refinery in Kaduna. I said first there is savings in piping crude to the North rather than trucking, secondly none of the complainers could explain the energy mix needs of Nigeria. Since then, not even a modular refinery has been added in Nigeria.

Buhari is too incompetent and physically fragile to handle complex issues of Government. He is a man that should be given singular project, and he will deliver on the project perfectly without chopping your money.
