Sakes:If we were to start comparing we will clearly see that this is more in prevalent and common in the south than in the north. I am a southerner(from Edo state) and I know what I am talking about. This shifting of blames and pointing of fingers has not solved our problem in anyway. We should look at them together and seek for a better and lasting solution. |
loverboy34:Morality in the south of Nigeria is on a free fall now with such great speed that it beats the gravitational pull. How did this whole thing start? Is it due to the continuous neglect by parents and schools alike? Is it due to a shift from disciplinarian measures of the old ways to the new order? Or it is just one of the fall outs of acculturization? There are many questions begging for answers. I think we know where to find these answers except we want to continuously play the orstrich like we do, otherwise the next generation may not survive it. |
OWOJELA:I, as a muslim strongly and unequivocably condemn all acts of crimes and criminality committed both those who align themselves as christians and muslims, but for Oyedepo and other christian apologist to continuously say the fulani man values human lives to cow is not only absurd but irresponsible speech. I know no one in his or her right sense will compare human lives to that of an animal but to continuously sound it out as though this is what the fulanis believe is somehow playing to the gallery. Ask those in Onistsha market and some other places in the south of Nigeria who lynch and burn people alive for stealing an Item worth #100 or more if human lives are comparable to those items ? Ask them. You don't say one thing with the same mouth and condenmn with the same mouth it is not called speaking the truth,it is called double speaking that is,lying. I am not by this saying what the so-called herdsmen are doing is good or praised.,No. What I am saying is,don't start making provocative statements that may set this country ablaze. Because I know for sure if half of what Oyedepo and his fellow pastorpreneurs were said by an Islaamic cleric the slow thinking congregants of christendom won't hesitate for a second to shout Islamization. .And most of you think we are your enemies. As a muslim I am sick and tired of this whole thing these so called men of God keep spewing around in order to spread fear and apathy to reach whatever they want. Finally,if anybody does anything whether Muslim or christian, hausa,Ibo or Yoruba bring him to account and execute him accordingly to the law. There is no room for sentiments in matters of life and property. |
post=68944261:My brother, don't get their messages twisted. When any issues humans cause themselves through their continuously neglect and some people occupying leadership positions always tell us to pray or buy the lets's 'move on' mentality why things remain unchanged is what I think they are faulting. In Islaam we believe in the concept of "tie your camel and put your trust in Allaah through prayer" similarly I know the christians believe in faith with work: as they say faith without work is fruitless or better still, heaven help those who help themselves We should stop this praying, praying ,praying all the time whereas God has given us brain, hands and legs to work things out for the better. Even America we look up to has the number country in terms of civilization they take everything seriously amd they still say God bless America. Ours is a case of mental attitude. We should stop it and call on God when necessary not this motion without movement we've turned prayers to. |
bugidon:My oga,you are mistaken. The law to cover up is meant for every single muslim. If these ones choose to public go against it then their sin is upon them. However,we public denounce such wanton display which runs foul to the Islaamic ethics. Ona second thought, this sort of display is also find place among the rich people of other faith such as christianity. In all, remove the log in your eye before bothering yourself about the spec in my eye. |
royalamour:Please, what did Alan Shearer say? Is he now a referee? |
aroundnaija:Like this wasted matter occupying space. |
aroundnaija:You are rather being emotional than factual. You think football decisions are made like your monkey goal post five-aside soccer. Rojo did not commit any penalty. Go and read FIFA rules concerning hadlng balls that can result in a penalty. Your blame should rightly go to Ighalo and the lack of concentration and focus from your team in the dying minutes. Wtach the way the Iceland and Coratians players hande the Argentines and compare that to Nigeria. They tried but luck and lack of focus was not on their side. |

Nigerians like getting emotional over facts. The fact of the matter is the referee was the best super eagles could possibly get,he was more matured and in control of the game. If it were me,the penalty Nigeria got was a little bit soft for my liking. Blame our ouster from the tournament because you(super eagles) failed to utilise telling chances. To me Ighalo was the biggest culprit in the game he missed two glaring chances that a world class striker would bury in such a desperate situation. One thing Nigerians should embrace is,they should start embracing fact rather than pent up emotions which serves no good. To me the ref. did more than enough to make th game fair. We should blame ourselves in the end for lack of concentration and focus |
When I see these kind of things happening I just shake my head in disappointment for indeed a generation coming after this will be worst than what was before it. |
CANDYDADDY:I for just land you better slap na. ANoufia

OboOlora:People like you who promote this animalistic behaviour think you are being modern whereas you are endorsing a behaviour alien to our religious and cultural values because of your inferiority complex to Western thinking They maybe some nuances you think are ok for us to adopt from them which further proves your slavish mentality to their way of life. There are words called decency and civility. And I think most of you have lost it in your bid to appear more whiter than the whites. When humans who are suppose to be the vicegerents of God on earth start behaving like lower animals and openly endorsing such wanton behaviour then I am wondering what right you(females) have to question a man for molesting you. You can rob Peter to pay Paul. It does not fit in at all. And oohhh! I forgot. We are in 21st century were humans act more on their emotions than intellect and shyness that makes them respectable and dignified. This your 21st century hotcg potch where 18 becomes a magical number for humans to exhibit their innate unregulated desires like wild animals will certainly destroy that fabric that differentiate us from animals whch the intellect. It only requires a low thinkingb homo sapinto endorse and see not wrong in this, but a time shall come when all of you who open approve this filthy behaviuor will SURELY regret it. Lest you hurriedly accuse me of being a saint,I am openly saying it here I am not however, that does not stop me from speaking againts actions which are anomalies to our cultural values and ethics. |
OboOlora:People like you who promote this animalistic behaviour think you are being modern whereas you are behaving exactly like animals. That is why there is are words called decency and civility. When humans who are suppose to be the vicegerents of God on earth start behaving like lower animals and openly endorses such behaviour then I am wondering what right you have to ask a man for molesting you. ohhh! I forgot. We are in 21st century were humans act more on their emotions than intellect and shyness that makes them respectable. This your 21st century gibbersh where 18 becomes a magical age for animals to exhibit their innate unregulated desire is like a poisoned chalice you will not feel the effect now, but a time shall come you will SURELY regret it. |
Lordcenturion2:keep dreaming when you wake up from that dream let us know. You think technology created themselves or humans did? This is why I usually question the thinking capacity of some of you who think we should leave religion out of what we do and why you deceptively repalce it with your religion of worshipping the desires and whims calledechnology If technology was so special why didn't it liberate the people of before why now? or is your technological "God" so bias that it[I am using it because anything inanimate has no power to control or influence] forgot about people of the pass? In the future technology may become the new God some shallow people worship because they have lost the meaning of their lives to material things. Anything that is created by humans is time bound and meant to grow old and forgotten not God. Th technology you worship today will end up being your destruction tomorrow. Africans do not need technology in a whole to really change, all they need is change in mentality and attitude. Get that into your brain cells and stop worshipping every evil this white people promote who always end up commiting suicide because the technolgy they worshipped always disappoint them. Kee |
The only true religion in the sde of God is Islaam not Judaism,Budhism,Hinduism or Christanity. All Prophets from Adam to Noah to Abraham to Moses to Jesus and to Prophet Muhammad[peace be upon them all and mercy be upon him] were all muslims submitting their will to the one true God Allaah in arabic,Eloh in hebrew and Aramaic. Jesus never said he should be worshipped or prayed to as God. He was a man true and true without Godly powers and he testified this in no more than one place in the bible. In all,all christians if possible by God's permission should embrace Islaam which is not 'Arab religion(though an arab was the messenger) neither an Hausa religion, but religion of the one true God the ominiscience and The Over-seer of all that exist. I am using this oppirtunity to invite all to this beautiful religion of peace and tranquility. |
SpecialAdviser:Does God look like a man? All Ibos who are christians should to turn and worship the one true God who never died nor resurrected neither ws he crucified or hung on the cross fo the sins of those who did nothing. This is why you are all finding it difficult worshipping the way Jesus christ (peace be upon him)worhipped the true God as a muslim. Save your soul from eternal perdition and join the people[The muslims] who shall be saved in the after life. Jesus (peace be upon him) was NEVER a christian and he NEVER said he should be worshipped or prayed to. |
It is really sad how Nigerians here ignored her message and them aimed at Mrs Damacus personality. It shows how narrow-minded and insular most of us are. The essence of the message is learn to accept things in life if things don't go the way you expect. That's the message for the galaxy of intolerant numbskulls insulting Mrs Damacus refuse to learn on this platform . |
TheABOMINATION:Oga,were they not putting on this same Jersey when they lost to England? Sometimes how some boys reason. |
Amarabae:Madam, why don't you go bleaching since that will hel you from jumping out of your inferiority complex. Some people have brains, yet they can't think. |
Even those shouting zoo zoo are now claiming Nigeria.
I wonder when this people will learn to be more reasonable |
ChiefAzubuike1:I beleive you my oga. It was clear luck you couldn't write anything worth reading. Better luck next time. |
Jaqenhghar:Oga, go see a doctor. I can't help your blindness.
|
FortifiedCity:Are you saying they are no christian gays or those who prostitute themselves as boyfriends and girlfriends in the name of dating and courtship in christianity today? You should know every community has got a blacksheep. So,no one is immune from finding such individual amongst them. This isn't paradise |
zombieHUNTER:Some of you are just ocvupying space in this world. Your open hatred for PMB has made you blind to the truth like a fool who thinks what he says holds any relevance even when he wants to sound logical.
|
They are some people no matter how hard you try to present yourself or make things work they will never see anything good because all they know is negativity. |
Zechenna007:
|
Viralkid:The problem with some of you is you are too blinded by inferiority complex and lack of civility to see good as good without painting it bad. I have no doubt in my mind that you belong to those class of people who curse and accuse Buhari of corruption ,while corrupt and litter our streets with rubbish and disposables. Change your mentality it is more healthier. |
Bigval5:Mr 21st century how has your advancement lead you so far. more broken homes, more broken marriages, more marital abuses, more divorce rates and more and more rates of infedility and you think going the old way is used and spent? Can't you see this your 21st century hogwash ain't working? I wonder when some of you will get out of this herd mentality. |
dvkot:Mine is very simple answer, work on your brain first. To me,unmarried people have no business seeking advice about conjugal rights and all that. I know I may sound old and archaic or even wierd, but I still think those of you who engage in this boyfriend/girlfriend nonesense are just as confused as the girls themselves. I am still askig after the so-called courtship and boyfriending and girlfriending to "know you partner better" why do most married peole end up cheating and even being abused and killedin the end of this fake lovey dovey affair you people helped the devil in building. There is nowhere in all the Abrahamic faith realtionship outside a marriage exist, even christ himself warned against it whenhe reportedly said:"whoever looketh upon a woman and lust after her it is as though he hath committed adultrery in his heart." And I am asking why? why?? why ![]() Forget about this being in romance section and usual telling me to go to religious section to say my rubbish, but the question here is,is anyone of you here who promote this thing serving the devil? Otherwise no sane muslim or christian will promote this sort of behaviour and still call on the same God he willingly disobeys to answer their prayers. You and me have to pay God in His own currency. Not this hypocritical stance we pull upon every now and then whenever it favours us. My God is not a God of "divide and rule." If after reading this you still feel I am not making any sense then I think you are no different from those whom you curse here almost everyday. Just look at yourself. |
I spent some of my childhood in Lagos, but I will never advice anybody to live in Lagos on a permannent basis. Life in Lagos is so full of constant fear and instability which are my pet peeves to put it mildly. Lagos may have all the trappings of what you can find anywhere, but I still prefer safety to the luxuries of life which Lagos has to offer in abundance. |
Probably this is one of the reasons why the atheist and secularist see religion as the opium of the people, because perons who are meant to guide people spiritually are kind of suffering from some momentary mental lapse. Even the bible refutes this idea, but how do you convince someone who thinks his/her sins have been washed away by the "death" of Jewish prophet. |
