Kennyblues:It's Pidgin, actually! ![]() |
The English language doesn't have an exact match for "chook". Two words come close though: Pierce and Prick. @OP: In the context in which your daughter used the word, Prick would be most appropriate. |
I suggest you change your username to something else. I assume you know perfectly well what the title "Rasulullah" means? ![]() |
I'm not sure a coach can kill a player's "attacking instincts". Vermalaen, Gallas and Ivanovic are defenders but that hasn't affected their attacking "instincts". I'm even thinking Mikel should be taken back to defence as he's even too static for a DM - no offence. I really don't know what Siasia is complaining about? The boy himself is not complaining and seems to be too happy to continue his sideways, reverse and short passes. I have a feeling Siasia would try to convert Mikel back to an attacking midfielder, in the process wasting so much of his time and energy. Amodu tried it without success. He should rather concentrate that energy in developing AMs like Stanley Okoro, Lukman Haruna, Rabiu Ibrahim and so on. |
GEJ vs Atiku: The battle of two former vice-presidents! Who wins? Who surrenders? Stay tuned as the drama continues! |
I would like to see Ribadu manage a state first b/4 considering a presidential ambition. A Buhari-Utomi ticket looks good to me! ![]() |
Are we saying if not for General Obasanjo there wouldn't be GSM in Nigeria?! Frustrated people vent their anger on "leaders" everywhere. Bush had a shoe thrown at him, Berlusconi suffered 2 broken teeth, Blair had shoes and eggs thrown at him. I'm curious to know if any of the blows on our ex-president met their target? ![]() |
Oliseh? No comments. ![]() |

naijaking1:Maybe the reporter is a 70 year old! ![]() |
Okay, Aloy, we give up! What's the answer to your "riddle"? Is it water, lol! Even if rice is foreign, it's now a nigerian food. There was a time when the English would sooner kick a potato than eat it. So we can't just reject answers simply because they're not native to Nigeria. I think "Rice and Stew" is the most common method of preparing rice in the country. |
chaircover:The problem is the young woman doesn't even see anything wrong in her cooking?! It's a complicated. 1moment:It wouldn't be for long - trust me! That's why you should address the problem once and for all. rokiatu:That's harsh and uncalled for! If he came to Nairaland before his marriage and complained that he has this wonderful fiance but his only problem is that her cooking is not perfect, I'm sure Nairalanders will say he's frivolous or maybe he has developed cold feet. My advice is that you teach her. You can also take her to a good restaurant (as a treat) sometime and tell her how much you've enjoyed their cooking. You can increase her cooking budget, maybe it would send the message across. If she proves difficult, you can take the last resort and start bringing Mr Biggs and TFC home. PS I believe it won't reach the last resort. If she truly loves you, she'll certainly seek out her friends (and family), who could help her improve her cooking. |
So did he return the N20,000? ![]() |
davidylan:Sounds perfect. ![]() Hmm, seems everyone has a great job and is doing very well. Why then, does Nairaland "sound" like it's filled with frustrated and bitter individuals? ![]() Or maybe the frustration is not from the workplace! |

Poor Paul! He bowed out when the ovation was loudest ![]() |
That reminds me - Where is Madam Dora? Anyone knows? |
It's clear you can't marry a woman against her will. But, What's shocking is that a man would happily stay married to a woman whom he knows doesn't consent to the marriage. This is not marriage - it's slavery! |
kokoye:Or maybe your colleagues are more tolerant! ![]() |
queeneve:The highlighted names look like names an armed robber would fancy. I don't think any self-respecting man would find that funny. |
IbrahimB: Ranks007:O yes! If the Henry Okah's claims turn out to be true the President should resign. It will be scandalous if it turns out that GEJ did reach out to Okah in order to blame a particular section of the country. It would be a shameful thing if that happened. So what's your problem with that? ![]() |
He should resign if the Henry Okah claims turn out to be true. |
Judge Sends A Whole Prophet To KirikiriWere you expectiing him to be sent to prison in "bits-and-pieces"? ![]() |
The police should first assure us that we are safe from them. After that, they can assure us on anything else ~ |
Gameplan don change! ![]() |
MAYOWAAK:A friend in need is a friend indeed. Joke just prevented the situation from getting worse. Some women have suffered this trauma for decades. ![]() |
SSaemoenl:The thing de sweet you for mouth abi? ![]() |
bermuda1:Do you think GEJ will lose even if he had a strong opposition? I thought it is PDP for the next 50 years? . Anyway, I don't think a person like Buhari, if elections are credible, could be said to be poor opposition. |
citizenisb:And how were you right ?! Oh, I get it - the "Let's meet at IBB's Campaign Office" text messages?! Lord. |
Question: I.CHINONYE:Answer: I.CHINONYE:You loved excessively and thus paid the price. In your own words, your love for her even rivalled the love you had for God. You were on a dangerous road. You gave her everything she asked for, and when you could no longer deliver, she left you. Some people's wives have deserted them when they ran into a "dry patch". This woman wasn't your wife, so things should be easier to bear. I believe you've learnt your lesson and wouldn't make the same mistake again. |
