This Ladan Bosso team. Just like the Ugbade Eaglets: all industry, they work so hard but lack the cutting edge. On paper this should be the weakest team in the group.
I hope they come out second half and be better composed in attack.
obembet: The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)- One year of joy, challenges, tears and VICTORY.
Its a thing of joy and great privilege to serve our fathers land. Several people have stated their own opinion about NYSC, Some said it’s a scam, some said it’s a complete waste of time, and so on, but but to me, I see a things of Joy to serve my father's Land.
I served my dear country in one of the most beautiful state in the Nigeria, (Akwa Ibom) even though I was not happy about the village I was posted for my PPA but the villagers proved to me that Akwa Ibom people are the most wonderful tribe in Nigeria when it comes to taking care of strangers and cooking the best soup
I served in 2015/2016 batch B stream II at Nkot Nseyen, ikono local Government, Akwa Ibom state and my PPA was nkot Nseyen community secondary school.
If you are privilege to serve in Nkot Nseyen village, your one year service will be full of fun and you will beg federal government to give you extra year
My experience were mostly exciting with the Akwa Ibom people and their soup, I remember I tasted periwinkle soup for the first time there but I shouted when I was unable to break the periwinkle with my teeth, I later learn how to suck it
So my fellow Nairalanders, it's NYSC is 50!!! Please tell the world where and when you served and share your little experience in one sentence

komekn: Nobody in the SA team is good enough to get into the Nigeria team. Your contradict yourself.
Bros, SA are the underdogs going into that game. However if you have followed that SA team all tournament you will know they can be good on the counter/offensive. However again that doesn't change the fact that individually the Senegalese or Nigerian team is better than theirs.
Kwashiman: SA still in, we avoided Senegal which is good enough for me. Burkina Faso is a very good team but we have a marginally better team and record against them.
That SA team is capable of shocking Senegal if underated. Senegal may have had a 100% record because of the nature of opposition they faced.
oloriooko: But was Abubakar not in an offside position prior to the goal he scored? CAF is a joke, VAR is too important for a competition that will produce its representatives at the world stage Using VAR now will give the boys high sense of beating the offside trap which can be frustrating CAF can do better than this walahi
That was actually offside. We got lucky there. The boys got rewarded for their industry and the ball and movement was really very fast that the asst referees were not able to spot the offside.
Nduka Ugbade really has a lot of work to do in coaching those boys how to stay onside while attacking.
TheSuperNerd: It is obvious. His small stature makes Ugbade doubts if he can handle the physical aspect of plays in the tournament but I believe Ugbade should take a long hard look at his decision again after seeing another small boy of similar stature to Olowoporoku, called Siyabonga Mabena of SA wreck havoc against physically superior lads in the game.
It isn't all about size alone. Brains and speed help and Olowoporoku has both.
This Olowoporoku is even smaller than Siyabonga o. Reminds me of Chigozie Obasi of 2013 Class.
Please where is that small boy back then that captained the U13/U15 team. I have forgotten his name. He used to tighten his shorts with rope
TheGoodJoe: Ndukka Ugbade is a wonderful coach. I see a bright future for him. I was so impressed with that second-half display. You could see how wonderfully he can get a team to play.
I just hope he ditches the long balls-long shots strategy and allow the team to play sound possession football and we will go places with these lads.
Nice gesture from Ugbade towards Mabena. Impressive.
This team has really played well. They just need to improve on their scoring tactics. Their inability to create scoring chances early in games makes them labor so much to score goals. I really love their Physicality, industry and stamina even at their young age. They typically boss their opponents around. Nearly all of them are very comfortable on the ball.
I just pray they will be able to scale through Burkina Faso or Cameroon in that Quarter Final.
Marjoribanks: Morocco did not counter to get a goal. They got an early own goal. They tried to counter but failed. We are difficult to score against. If Zambia could score 2, we will score 3/4.
Nigeria was the better side..they were just unfortunate to concede that early goal. Morocco went defensive for 92mins of the game.
I am personally pleased with the ball playing abilities of the lad. They only lack the cutting edge upfront.

TheSuperNerd: Mali triumphed 1-0 from their only shot on target. They controlled possession shaa due to their superior midfield talents especially their #8 and Captain, Ibrahim Diarra. Fine cerebral player.
The Malians play good football but didn't create as much chances.
The Burkinabes also played good football and had 5 shots on target but met a wall in Mali's Kone in Goal. The Burkina boys were quite wasteful to be honest, 2 of their many chances could have seen them at least bag a slim win but it was not to be.
Ousmane Camara, #7, the dangerman of Burkina Faso had a few moments but was generally subdued by a resolute Mali defence.
MOTM was Mali's GK, Bourama Kone.

I really had to create time to watch this game. Even preferring it over the Leicester vs Everton game. Mali, Burkina Faso and Senegal I know will be threats to our title ambition, so I had to really watch this game.
Both sides played good football but the Malians are more technically gifted. That Malian team will do well in this tournament and at the World Cup. If we don't meet in the Semis, I see a Nigeria vs Mali final.
In all, a very interesting tournament lies ahead as we expect Algeria and Morocco to want to make it to the semis. After the first games (yet to see Cameroon though) Nigeria, Algeria, Senegal, Morocco, Mali and Burkina Faso have impressed me so far. It is scary to know that only 4 teams from this lot will make it to the U17 WC.
Rockyrascal: All 26 players of the Nigeria Under-17 team have successfully passed the mandatory MRI ahead of the U-17 AFCON starting this Sunday in Algeria.
Congrats to them.
Good news.
I just have this feeling that a new generation of great talents is about to emerge
Danielnino00: So, there's a trending news item on social media where Okocha said in an interview that he'd be worth €150m in today's transfer market... Do you guys agree with him?
Personally,I think it's an exaggeration..
Cc: thesupernerd Thegoodjoe thelonecitizen Andrewbaba44 darkelf blueelf Chriskels chrisolobog majoribanks Komekn do4luv14 elyte89 Kog45 icon4s mostob maidaboi and other distinguished members of the thread...
It is no exaggeration. He would have been worth it.
Kog45: Ronaldinho said Okocha moved to Bolton was a terrible mistake….Even his moved to Fernabache was a mistake.
Okocha started well with Frankfurt as a beginner and moving to PSG put his game on track again after wasting his time in Turkish league but messed it with very poor club in EPL.
Yes with his talent Okocha worth $100m but with his club career he didn’t worth it.
The truth is football has evolved over time, even JJ Okocha refined part of his game as he aged. Okocha was such a brilliant player and if he was playing today, we would have seen an 'Okocha Promax'. His brilliance would have made him adapt faster to the modern game and he would have been amongst the most sought after players in the world. Yes, he would have been worth 150million Pounds.
How them take they call this guy legend is beyond me
He wasn’t top AM of his era 😂
You use number of goals scored to assess a midfielder? This statistics generation, sef. If you really watched Okocha play you will not be saying this. Go watch that Youtube video I posted please.
typicalgamer: stop being emotional 😭 Okocha is an average footballer with no end product. He is a magician but with no end product in today’s game honestly he won’t worth more than €30 mill
Because no team with a wining mentality will allow his play style maybe bring him on at 80mins to kill time and showboat
Kwashiman: It won't hurt to invite Gift Orban to the NT ahead of the next remaining Afcon qualifier games which we should be able to seal against Sao Tome with nothing left to play for against Sierra Leone, at least that way we get to ease him in slowly into the team...I mean giving the kid a cameo of the bench in a hopefully done and dusted game won't hurt right? Needless to mention there will be international friendly windows coming up where he can be fully accessed with new players. Much ado about nothing sha...
Next game is against Sierra Leone. Sao Tome and Principe game is last
