I rate Uzoho highly but nothing spectacular from Argentina in the second half, pls go and watch the match again, he had normal game that average keeper would have, pls am not taking anything from him but that's the fact.
Egbon no fear, say it as it is.

You said the pro league lack quality. I said, work with a bigger pool will increase the chances of more quality players.

Simple.
Ow, you have changed it to "chances" . I thought you were affirmative about having better players than these ones.

Name them now you no fit.

Salisu did not select from a large pool. This is coming from someone who thought I was only referring to the NPFL.
Were you part of those that drew the selection program? Tell me those players you feel are supposed to be in the team. You cannot.

Na make salisu invite 1000 players to camp.

TheGoodJoe:
I should name all hundreds of players abi. The point is simple. The quality of our league is too poor to restrict selections to it alone. Work with a larger pool.

Finito.
Why should I ask you to name 100 players?

If you say these boys are not the best then it means you have seen better players. So just give a few names and let's discuss them to see if they are good enough for the CHAN team or not.

I can bet it with you that Uzoho or any other keepers would concedes the same number of goals we conceded today, pls check it out 26 shots at a keeper in 90 minutes match for God sake.

Kudos should be given to Ezenwa and Ajiboye against Angola and Sudan cos the defence was just too porous compare to what we paraded against Argentina.I don't think Uzoho can survive this kind of defence.
Egbon, you too don dey reason am abi?

Dey wan take omode keeper go face "MEN" for world Cup.

Ha! My hand no dey o.

You are fond of making up your mind on what you think someone is saying without getting the point.

I used the term LEAGUES in one of my comment meaning we should not focus on the NPFL alone. I also used camp screening process meaning I want the selection from a larger pool.

Biko, I am not talking of NPFL alone. Inanu.
You are talking about the NPFL, NNL and amerture league abi?

OK, name those players that you feel should have added value but Salisu left them out. Since you are so sure they exist.

Besides, do you know the selection process the coaches adopted? What makes you think they didn't select from a large pool?

Just that one moment abi? So you blame Udoh for Eneji's rash decision? I also saw Ogbugh defend deep on the right with Osas no where to be found. I saw Orji and Eze being stretched times without number to cover for Osas...

I saw Osas just acting as escort to all Moroccan wingers who came thru his wings as if he was just there to see them off to their final destination of putting the ball into the back of our net....

Osas was just an escort not a defender... He did nothing.
Perfecto!

Next time anyone is watching the game again. Concentrate on Ikuowem and how easily and repeatedly he was skinned alive or left his wing unattended to.
So you will even need to rewatch and concentrate before you spot Ikuowem own. For Osas Okoro own even a person that does not know anything about football will spot out how useless he was in that game at first glance

I am saying the selection process is the problem.
You said emphatically that their are better players in the NPFL then you should be able to name those players if truely they are better than what we have here.

And you cannot sit in the comfort if your living room and say emphatically that "the selection process is the problem".List the players you feel should have been selected that were left out and let's discuss it.

We had 35% possession in all. Argentina did come forward in that second half. I remember a save he made from Dario Benedetto. I remember two crosses he claimed with ease. His aerial prowess is there. He is also calm... See he is both the finished article but he is our own Ondoa for now.... That is just it.
This Ondoa wey una dey shout upandan no be the same one wey chop 4 kondo for Uyo?

There are better players in the league, the one that played for Remo stars that's now with Akwa utd should have made this team,(mbaoma or something like that) same with Olatunbosi.
Are those ones still in the league?

If Salisu had left out someone like Osas Okoro now, that's how some people would have been mentioning his name here asking why he was not selected.

Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown o. It is easy to criticize.

For the Argentina game I speak on Uzoho's aerial prowess in response to Forgiveness naa.... That 45 mins was against Argentina and not Sudan or Angola. Let that be emphasized too.

I wanna see him start in three of our friendlies to see more of what he offers in the GWG. That we cannot avoid coz he looks like the Chosen one even though it is damn early to say.
For a goalkeeper that time is not enough. I hope you know that in that second half Argentina didn't really make serious incursions into our penalty area.

TheSuperNerd, you can at best say "Uzoho seems to be good aerial" and not affirmative statement like " Uzoho is good aerially ".

They are definitely better players. That is why I keep screaming camp and screen a large pool. Not just some hyped up name. Even on fields in Port Harcourt, you will find better left backs than that Ikuowem for a start.
Since you are so sure there are definitely better players please name those players.

I answered the one on Alampasu haven't I? I watched just a few of his... As for Uzoho, his aerial prowess against Argentina showed for sure. That is what I am responding to.

No worry, no much talk... I suppose you should also question Rohr's faith in same young lads coz he has them already prepped up ahead of the friendlies and for bigger responsibilities at the WC especially Uzoho.
Again you conclude on Uzoho from that 45mins game.

Congratulations to the Moroccans for their well deserved victory.

I think this is the worst assembled Nigerian team ever. The defenders were atrocious. Zero ability to control the ball and the strategy of play was horrendous.

Worst offender was Ikuowem or what so ever his name is. That guy took leaving gaps to a whole new level.

I bet if there was an award for most dribbled player, he would have gotten it.

The Gulf in class was too much and I hope we learn from this.

I will still talk about the selection process. I think a camp screening process with players from not just the pro league would have given us a more quality selection.

I hope we approach this tournament with more seriousness.
My brother, this embarrassment is so soar in our mouths.

You are right in all areas except in your choice of worst player. I think that goes to Osas Okoro.

Enegi was our only lifeline on that pitch until he was sent off. The boy is good sha. He is another positive from this CHAN.

In that game alone against Argentina, Uzoho showed his aerial prowess. Not a debate sef.

As for Alampasu... He never keep for us but a few games seen of his back in Portugal before recent times also show his aerial strength. Alampasu is very good oooo... Sad we never see am in GWG. Chaaaiiii

And take it from me... Rohr will not make Ezenwa our no.1 for the WC. He will make the squad but He won't be no 1
That is how you guys jump to quick conclusions.

How many of Uzoho's and Alampasu's games have you watched.

Haba naa.... You no read my analyses? sad I give Ajiboye kudos for his shot stopping ability and that is not in doubt, he is awesome when it comes to shot stopping (but Ezenwa is also pretty good there).... but I was the very first person to point out his weakness from aerial balls just minutes into the game against Morocco.

Me I know who Rohr will lick between Ajiboye and Ezenwa. I know for sure who he will go with.
Talking about aerial balls.

Thank God that first goal never counted. ..but what difference does it make anyways. We still got trashed.

Did you watch Ezenwa against Algeria away?

I think, i will wait for the friendlies to decide who is ahead.

Both local keepers are very flawed. Good shot stoppers but lack basic fundamentals.

Experience is important but we are in a peculiar situation. If Uzoho and Okoye prove their mettle in the high profile friendlies and are not overwhelmed by playing in Wembley, then they will be fine.

Ondoa was fairly inexperienced but was key in Cameroon's nations cup win.
You mentioned two key factors here : (1) Experience (2) Being overwhelmed on match day

These are things you don't get to evaluate at the training ground.

Oga. Also read the post I replied. Maybe I should have put a quote to it.

The stats are not favoring Ajiboye. But a bad defense can make a keeper really look bad. I consider them in the same league with the World Cup in view. I’ve been saying it I don’t trust our home based keepers.
With the World Cup in view Ezenwa and Ajiboye are not in the same league. Take note.
