BascoVanVeli: U are right being wrong zaps a lot of energy out of u OK I am wrong. No Nigerian player should ever leave this country to play football in Europe and we have the best pitches to train our young players. So are you happy now. Now please let me discuss some thing else in Peace. |

TheGoodJoe: The new trainer did not blank Alampasu, it was the organizers that said Alampasu got dropped due to Logistics. Which to me dripped foul play. That is why I am calling for all in camp and let the trainer judge. So if not for logistics Alampasu would have been in and Ajiboye would have been out? |

TheGoodJoe: Rohr showed his distaste by bringing in a foreigner to work with the keepers. If not, we would not be talking Ajiboye today. Just like the New Keeper trainer blanked out Alampasu, who you claim is always the best in camp. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Icon4s(m): 12:37pm On Feb 04, 2018 |
TheGoodJoe: He never stood out in training. Alampasu was ahead followed by Ezenwa. So no need putting Rohr in the equation because Rohr showed he did not like and trust the Goalkeeper trainer of the team, Alloy Agu and brought in a foreigner.
Finito. I can see as you are a member of the technical crew. |

BascoVanVeli: U asked for one player boss. Or do u want to change your question after asking it?
I am not defending anything, I just said Europe should not be the focus concerning the young man but development. I wasn't arguing with u from the beginning I only said that we should be developing our players at home if all was well with our structure. Did I say he was going to Europe to hawk bread? Is it not to continue with his development in Europe that I am talking about? |

TheGoodJoe: If a player is poor in training, there is no Super power to make him better in match day condition. If Akpeyi was poor in training do you think Rohr and his crew would still have such vested confidence in him? |

TheGoodJoe: But now, all is not well with our Structure. It is even terrible to the point the players do not even have good pitches to train on.
The best bet is to export our best talents for nurturing and grooming in the best academies and clubs until we fix our development Structure. That is the reality on ground. I don't just understand what Bascovanveli is defending. |

BascoVanVeli: Chisom Egbuchalam made the squad in Zambia. I am not saying players should not go abroad but develop them first. Look at Alhassan Ibrahim, instead of wasting his time globetrotting Europe on trials he played in the NPFL and in that time he even got a call for the national team and when he left he was able to walk right into the first team of an Austrian side and start against AC Milan in the Europa League. If he didn't wait to the develop in the league he might till this day have still been going on trials.
Fidelis Ilechukwu is a good coach and has proven with Stephen Odey that he is a good player developer. The boy is in good hands. Chisom Egbuchulam. Just one player from all the NPFL players and in all the WC qualifiers. Yet you say I am lying. Look I am not saying he should not start his trade in the NPFL. Recall I said he should have his early development here and then move to Europe. What you are defending I don't understand self. |

Kog45: But my question why is Rohr not satisfied with Ezenwa. I am also not satisfied with him either. Not just him, but any of the goalies. Threat from an Angola, Sudanese or a homebased Guinean side is nothing compared to what is obtainable at the regular AFCON and WC qualifiers let alone the WC. As I said before, It is going to be a tough tough decision for Rohr to assign Uzoho as first choice, no matter the amount of personal training and coaching he receives. The WC is for men. |

BascoVanVeli: That's a lie, plenty of players have made it into the SE while playing in the NPFL even under Rohr. I have no issue with him going abroad but that should not be his mission in life he should focus on his development. Are u guaranteeing me that he is going to be good enough to play for Madrid or Barca? I am lying? aside Ezenwa which NPFL player has made any match day squad under Rohr? His going to play abroad is it not to get better development opportunity? If he stays in the NPFL he stands a less chance of getting that development. And I didn't guarantee he will be good enough for the Madrid or Barca, I only said he may be nursing that dream/ ambition and he has every right to. |

Daejoyoung: Ezenwa, because he's had more chances with the team. Maybe due to the preference of Alloy Agu. Rohr hasn't given Ajiboye opportunities to prove himself yet like he has given Ezenwa and even Akpeyi/Uzoho. Ezenwa is more tested and trusted. Se fine. |

TheGoodJoe:
The jittery actions comes from fear. There have never been a report that Akpeyi stood out in the Super Eagles camp. Then you make him the regular. How do you think fear will not enter his body? Match day condition is different from training conditions bro. That is my point. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Icon4s(m): 11:11am On Feb 04, 2018 |
Daejoyoung: lrrespective of the nature of the opposition, based on just the quality of the saves, l think l would go with Ajiboye. What Ezenwa has over Akpeyi is confidence, but Ezenwa is not calm and yet Ajiboye seems to me to be both calm and confident. This is my opinion though. But who do you think has a better chance of making it to Russia between Ezenwa and Ajiboye. |

BascoVanVeli: If that's all we want then shouldn't the boy be in an academy?
what is the use of complaining about the average age of the league being too high when u want to sell our young players to the highest bidders? The average age of the league is high because the more promising players have left. Also, scouts target younger players. If he should be in an academy fine but once he excels and the big clubs start coming I am sure you'll be one of those to rejoice here. So just be real. |

BascoVanVeli: Going to Europe should not be at the top of any young man's mind because his head should be on reality. Reality is that he can improve with MFM and climb up the national team ranks at the same time. We should focus on that and not when a deal from Europe will come in. That is not the reality. The reality is for you to have any serious chance of making the Super Eagles team you must ply your trade in Europe. Common! if that guy mama read your post e fit "Se pe " for you o. A boy that may be nursing an ambition of playing for Real Madrid or Barcelona you say make him develop for MFM. Common be real man. |

TheGoodJoe:
It is in such environment you can test abilities. From agility, reflexes, technical understanding in setting up defence, reach, clearance strength, passing ability, etc.
As I said before a goalkeeper trainer who can not screen and select the best is not a good goalkeeper trainer. He does not know his job. Do you think Akpeyi is as jittery in training as he is under a match day situation? |

Kog45: OK you are right but with what we have seen so far.
Akpeyi against South Africa, Argentina,
Uzoho against Argentina,
Ezenwa against Cameroon,Zambia, Algeria,Angola
Ajiboye against Guinea, Sudan,
Pls pick your number one Based on strength of attack/nature of opposition faced and importance of games played. Ezenwa had the strongest test. So he comes out top for me. |

BascoVanVeli: Like I said, if we improve on our management and structure the NPFL could be one of the best leagues for youth development. That is "if". And a Nigerian "If" for that matter. In a place like Europe "If" can be a 50% chance of success and 50% chance of failure. But the Nigerian "If" can be only 1% chance of Success and 99% chance of failure. Please if that Lawal guy should become a hit I wish him a good footballing career in Europe Jare. Who no like better thing. |

Kog45: Jobie i will not deceive you anytime i remember our goalkeeping issue fear always grip me but i will not deceive you if care is not taken it would be one of our greatest undue at the coming WC cos options available looks somehow, home based goalkeepers and untested foreign goalkeepers, then how do we go about it.
I will not deceive you i would not rate Alampasu and Maduka ahead of Ezenwa and Ajiboye for now cos i haven't see them playing for Eagles,so it would be sentimental to put them ahead.
On Uzoho being number one, well he had a good game against Argentina but not really tested so more games as you said may be another 90 minutes then we judge but what i saw against Argentina he looked promising.
Ezenwa had it so good in WC qualifying matches except Algeria match were he made some basic errors though he happens sometimes but i don't think Rohr trust him but if we go by his performance against Angola then Rohr need to trust him.
Ajiboye which i don't think is on Rohr radar but with his performance against Sudan it would be an injustice if he is not consider cos his saves against Sudan were awesome but may be a good showing against Morocco would convince Rohr.
As thegoodjoe always saying we need to give our goalkeepers level playing ground so that we can pick the best without sentiment Good write up. But do you also know that the training ground may not be the best place to select the best keeper? |

BascoVanVeli: Our master plan should be to develop him in our league not to ship him to a foreign league. With better management and structure could be one of the best leagues for youth development. We have been talking about "developing the league, developing the league " since I have been following football. Please if that guy should happen to be a big hit in either our U17 team or NPFL he should make his way to a good club in Europe for the benefit of both his career and our national team. |

BascoVanVeli: Our master plan should be to develop him in our league not to ship him to a foreign league. With better management and structure could be one of the best leagues for youth development. We develop him both in the local league(his early years) and then he moves to the foreign leagues for better exposure. Our league structure doesn't have what it takes to bring out the best in a player. Be real man. |

If Ajiboye messed up today which i don't pray for, trust Nigerians they w say it without any feelings,Akpeyi still feeling the heat. I never even mentioned Uche Okafor for any praise. And yes you are only as good as your last game. If a player messes up today all the excellent performances he has put up in times past will be forgotten. That is how football fans generally are. |
