like I said....until Enyeama gets the club.

I did not say Enyeama is worse than the small boys, but currently, Enyeama is just about as fit as Ikeme for anything

You are quoting me to tell me the same thing I am saying

So, if Enyeama does not get a club and playing time by January, he will still displace the small boys? Match rusty Enyeama?

So, you would rather take rusted engine to WC than active one?
Sis calm down. This is a goal keeping position and not a striker position.

Those boys are not World Cup materials. I rather fall back to Ezenwa if Enyeama does not make it.

is Enyeama currently better than those players?

When last did Enyeama kick a ball?

His own recall get condition: Find a club by January and play or forget World Cup....

I am not joining any call for Enyeama until January when he fulfills his own conditions, he no even better pass Ikeme currently
The goal keeping position for the world cup is not for kids.

Rohr has even stated he has plans for Enyeama if he can settle his cub issue well and early enough.

Goal keepers don't lose form like that.

elyte89 was absolutely right,do they think Rohr will be happy without Moses in his team, beating Argentina is not the ultimate,we should remember it was a friendly match and not WC match.

Good that we did it in the absence of some of our regulars cos it gives us options but come against Croatia and the rest we want our best like Moses,Onazi,Mikel,Balogun,Ndidi,Ekong, Iwobi,Nacho,Ighalo available.
That is the problem with Nigerian fans. We easily get carried away by our most recent success. That SA loss is still there to remind us of the importance of those senior players in the team. See them now lining up Uzoho, Okoye and Alampasu as our 3 keepers to the world cup.

There is a stage you get to in the world cup that it is the experience of the senior players that the younger ones would be ridding on to see the team going.

The world cup ticket is very hard to come by o. Ask countries like Egypt, Zambia, Senegal, DRC. We need to maximize every opportunity to play in the World Cup.

My man it's a pity that we have to go for keepers keeping in division 3 and regional league in Europe for super eagles,no thank to Ikeme health and lack of class in Akpeyi and Ezenwa,if not we will not be discussing who is better among the trio who are keeping in team B in their various clubs.

Oh my God, Uzoho playing regularly in division 3 is now a thing of joy abi and Maduka keeping with Fortuna Dusseldorf team B is now a pride for our national team, also Alampasu a bench warmer ,honestly Akpeyi and Ezenwa really fall my hand.

Let me ask you this,if Uzoho find himself in Deportivo main team back as second keeper and always on the bench would you pick Maduka ahead of him due to his playing time in regional league with Fortuna Dusseldorf team B cos you are rating the same Maduka ahead of Alampasu now, this is a guy nobody mentioned here but now a beautiful bride just like the way some guys were defending Nwakili invitation whereas we have better performing midfielder in the same Norwegian league.
Thank you my brother.

OMG! Are those the keepers we want to use to face Croatia and Argentina?

I have finally joined the call for Enyeama.

No, Uzoho is playing regularly in a competition. Alampasu is not..

Okoye is playing. Alampasu is not.
Hmmm.. this Okoye matter me I no dey o. Rohr can invite him if he wants.

I rather we call back Enyeama abeg.

Okoye, Uzoho and Alampasu can take over after the world cup.

The FIFA World Cup is not for kids.

Maybe just one of them can make the squad for the exposure.

I say we see Enyeama in our next high profile friendly. If he still good to go, we keep him just for the World Cup. If he doesn't look sharp enough then we are condemned to chosing between the devil and the deep Blue sea.

I mean u no disrespect bro but I shouldn't be arguing with u. Onazi is indispensable and we trashed Argentina in his absence? VicMo is indispensable and we av been playing and winning in his absence . U kinda naive, sorry to say Dat. Whoever his absence ain't felt when he is off the pitch isn't indispensable. The person his absense shakes the team is Mikel and no one else. Be reasonable.
elyte89 has a point. Just that he may just have blown it out if proportion. Even Rohr has mentioned severally that Victor Moses is his greatest attacking threat. We definitely need him in the team. Onazi's work rate, athletism and versatility are a major boost for our midfield. Ogu is not as athletic as Onazi like wise in terms of work rate. And of course Mikel, He is the Igwe of the team. Yes no player is indispensable but some players if fit will definitely be vital to our campaign.

Onazi-Mikel-Moses: Are also senior members of the team, with also good 2014 WC experience in their bags. Baring any injures they have both legs in Russia already.

The Iceland Coach think of us a team to test their strenght outside Europe.

Iceland Coach: We’ll Play Nigeria Differently From Croatia, Argentina; We’re Without Superstars
newsheadlines.com.ng Dec 3, 2017 3:32 PM
Heimir Hallgrimsson, head coach of Iceland, reckons that the prospect of facing African powerhouse Nigeria will be new and exciting for his Cinderella side who have taken the football world by storm since qualifying and impressing at the last European Championships in France in 2016.

Speaking exclusively to Completesportsnigeria.com at the Kremlin Palace, venue of last Friday’s 2018 FIFA World Cup draw in Moscow, Hallgrimsson insists playing different countries with different football philosophies is proof positive that Icelandic football is going in the right direction.

He said: “Facing Nigeria will be a new experience for us. It is our first World Cup so everything is kind of new and exciting. Playing against a South American team and then an African team is different from what we are used to. The pedigree of Nigeria at the World Cup is good. They have experienced players in big teams
May your case be like that of Bulgaria that were playing against an African opposition for the first time at the 1994 WC and got thrashed 3-0.
If dem like themselves now let them just go and organize a friendly against Senegal or Ghana. This naija team aren't smiling with anybody.

What's with them and our physicality, have they built an alibi to discredit our quality and class, hard work and effort in case we win.
who are those physical players in our team?
is it Ebuehi,Iheanacho or Iwobi.
Balogun an Ekon are not even pure African,Ndidi plays normal football without much on physicality.
na wa for all these Oyibos
That is the fact.

Nigeria may be slightly different from the other sub Saharan African teams. As in our case we do a lot of ticki-tacka and the ball does the running for us and not the other way round.

Watch how typical Senegalese, Ivorian, Malian, Ghanaian and Cameroonian sides play. They do a lot of running and are also physical with it. Jam body football.

1. Current 17/18 stats
2. 2nd half of 16/17 marred with injury
3. 1st half of 16/17 with only 336 minutes played
4. 15/16 season

oga, I disagree.

That person is not likely to come out of the thread.

At least not from the regulars here.

That person obviously did not go there to analyze football because he obviously lacks the analytical abilities.

If I had an opportunity to be on such a forum I know how I would have tackled them. And I am sure same goes for the regulars here.

I have gotten to a stage here where when I read a comment I don't need to look at the moniker before knowing whose comment it is.

That person, from the comment he made, cannot be one of us here.

It is even more disappointing that u are the one making this kind of comment. You should be a defender of the thread you created and not the other way round.

A 1978 World Cup Argentina player just stated that Argentina will beat Nigeria come June 26, 2018.

Why? Not because we don't have the quality but because our players do not attain their full potentials.

Food for thought.

Happy New week.

O pari
Don't blame them. Just like if you are asked who would qualify from Group B I am sure you'll pick Spain and Portugal but the Moroccans would believe they can go through.

But from my experience of past WCs, upsets do happen. Costa Rica topped a group that had Italy and Spain the last time.

This world cup would be explosive. So many teams are in form and there are no weak teams except maybe Panama.

I will recommend the toughest possible similar opponents for friendlies.

Brazil for Argentina
Germany for Croatia
Poland (small but unpredictable team) for Iceland
Friendlies are a two way thing. You must also be attractive to your opponents in friendlies.

Colombia are playing Senegal, they would want to have a meeting with us in a friendly. They would also be a good South American test in preparation for Argentina.

Brazil are not playing any African team so Nigeria will not be of interest to them.

Poland is playing Senegal, so Nigeria would be attractive to them. They would also be attractive to us in preparation for Croatia and Iceland.

Germany are not playing any West African team and so Nigeria may not be attractive to them. Although Rohr may just influence this but it will not be of much benefits to Germany.

Argentina
Iceland
Croatia
Nigeria.

I would say thank God for this group. It could have been worse. My heart only settled when Morocco took the spot in group B.

On paper we are the under-dogs in that group. But realistically we are not.

Croatia and Iceland are beatable.

Two things: Just like I said after our WC qualifying group was released, Nigeria can either top that group or we come last. The first game, against Croatia is key. We need to beat Croatia like our lives depend on it. Beating Croatia will give us the boost to beat Iceland.
Henn... but Croatia are a very tough team o.

Argentina are not exactly at their best considering how they qualified, their star players are aging and considering also the psychological advantage from that friendly (even though I know the WC game would be tougher).

It is a fair draw IMO.

In a 3-man CB, the RCB and LCB should be players who are fast not slow.

Balogun should have played in the middle of them.

Do u mean we shouldn't work on our left-side?

And we still want our team to reach the Quarter-final of the WC.
We are obviously working on our left side.

But you also have to appreciate the extent of work done thus far.

As I said, in the national team, if you don't have players of certain qualities you make do with what you have. That is why national team coaches cherish utility players.

We maximise the best we have in the best position.
As I said before give us a left footed CB that is better than Balogun and we will send him to the bench.

Martins getting better for a club does not mean he will be better for us.

Stop equating club performances to National teams first of all. Only then can you understand football.

Aguero that scores on a daily for City, what does his performance for Argentina look like? How many goals does Mikel have in China? And in that period, how many did he get for Nigeria? Musa that has barely kicked a ball for Leicester, did he not get an assist in minutes?

The sooner you realise that club football and performances are not a reflection of national team, the sooner we can have a proper conversation.

Martins has never been prolific for Nigeria.
You are very right on the club Vs national team performance issue.
