We made a mistake during the qualifiers with all these 'experienced' rubbish... Hopefully we can start blooding in young players.
U can never undermine the place of experience in football.

Tell me Echiejile, Omeruo and Ekong are nt experienced Super Eagles defenders. Raheem Lawal, Brown Ideye and Michael Babatunde are all experienced Super Eagles returnees.

The nature of d opposition we faced during d Egypt double header is far different from what we faced in these 2 friendlies.

See my friend, when it comes to games of such magnitude(Egpyt clash) what every sane coach would have done was to assemble d best available established players with little room for experiments.

After all Simon, Iheanacho and Iwobi were all part of d Egypt clash. D only notable absentee young players were Madu and Ndidi.U think it would have been wise to play a relatively inexperienced Ndidi in front of a not too convinving pair of Ambrose and Obaobona when we have a world class experienced DMF like Mikel?

U can see dat Iheanacho is begining to get his acts right with d Super Eagles. U saw how his first two games: against Tanzania and Egypt went. He is begining to gather d much needed experience to fit into d national team setting.

Undermine d place of experience in senior team selection at ur own perile.

Going by that trend. The third over aged player would b Mikel -the chairman of Siasia's boys association. Although some1 earlier mentioned Chibuzor Okonkwo. grin

It is the truth. He does not want anyone to outshine Oduduwa in the tourney. That is why he wants him on the team by all means. Even if it means playing him with an injury.

What of carrying an overage Goal Keeper, Akpeyi who is not a starter while we can fill the Sub role with younger goal keeper and carry a highly experienced overage defender.

Coach Siasia is being reckless.
So u dnt know Daniel Akpeyi is one of "Siasia's boys". grin

He featured for Siasia as a substitute goalie at the 2005 AYC and WYC.

TheGoodJoe:
I did not bother much about the likes of our U23 top Stars like Nacho, Success, Ndidi, Otigba, Osede, Awaziem, Simon Moyes, Iwobi because they were busy with their clubs.

So I believed Coach Siasia would invite them after the season ends.

This Suwon Tourney comes at the end of the season and I expected an open camp with the Sixty listed players there.

I expected a rigorous screening process and a selection of the best players for his tourney.

What I am seeing now is indefensible. I believe that those we have on the list of the Suwon tourney, are Coach Siasia's Olympics selection. Which is very disappointing.
I have been saying it all along dat Siasia is avoiding the invitation of top talented players so as to give room for his mediocre boys; an opportunity to b in Rio. As some1here rightly said: we wont b supprised if Chibuzor Okonkwo makes it to Rio as an over aged player.

Henn we are watching.
Siasia is one kind of guy. I have taken this case up and it has been noted by those in authority.
Trust me.

We can't watch and wait until one guy breaks d heart of 170 million pple bc of his myopic "his boys" policy.

If that is the case then he should not invite Kelechi Iheanacho and all other top talents he has not worked with. He should just stick all those he used to prosecute the Olympics qualifiers. Even if any of them gets injured, he should instruct his Doctors to employ magic so they can heal.

It seems some of you are supporting Coach Samson Siasia blindly. I just hope your eyes get opened very soon to realities on ground that some of our views here might be vindicated.

No insult intended bro.

If you still doubt me, ask TheGoodJoe gringrin

No mind TheGoodJoe he vex bc of d exclusion of one player. I told him i would one day hold him by the comments he made in support of Siasia's "rigorous training and selection process". He should have Jst waited until Iheanacho, Iwobi, Simon and Success disappear from dat list before him vex.

Segun Oduduwa is out injured. So why can't we invite another promising defender for the Suwon tournament.

Why is Siasia insisting on going with just one option. What if he does not recover on time?

We need to test as many options as possible to be prepared.
Besides, this is one department Coach Samson Siasia is not too good in.

Siasia has to be proactive rather than reactive. If you recall, during out two leg AFCON qualifiers against Egypt. He regreteg not goin with some home based strikers. Reason being that, he had assummed Aaron Samuel and Fanen Adi were goin to be inform for the match.

I don't know if we are on the same page Sir?
So the Segun Oduduwa too cannot cope with the "siasia's rigorous training". Ok Omeruo and Balogun injury prone. Siasia does nt know Derick.
Na for us to wish Oduduwa(d only CB dat can withstand Siasia's rigorous training) speedy recovery be that. grin

TheGoodJoe:

I feel the screening is not thorough. The journalist talking to Coach Siasia should enquire if this list for the Suwon tourney contains most of his final Olympics team players.

I do not see why Iheanacho should be playing friendly games when we are preparing for the Olympics. This is a misplaced priority.

The Super Eagles has no major tournament coming up and the Olympics is a big deal. This tournament list should contain most of the final players for the Olympics. It seems we are still miles from being ready.
I thought u have been supporting Siasia's selections strategy all along. grin

I see no reason why likes of Isaac Success, Imoh Ezekiel, Kingsley Madu, Wilfred Ndidi, Abdul Ajagun would nt b part of d Super Eagles friendlies yet Siasia would still nt take them for the Korea tourney.I fear that most of these guys listed may nt b part of Siasia's plans.

This guy by now should know 70% of d players he needs for Rio and should be featuring them in friendlies for team building and proper blending.

IMHO 80% of the team he is taking to dat Suwon tourney are not Rio Olympics materials.

I can understand if Coach Siasia is saying Derek does not fit in. For him to say he does not know him is annoying.

Coach Siasia should research on him and give a better statement. This one is vexing me. Especially with that leaky leaky defence.
It would b a nightmarish Olympics if Siasia retains dat defense he used at CAF U23. Looks like dat is what is abt to happen.

Seven goals in forty one appearances, Arsenal will be better of with signing Solanke. Akron Stats are terrible for a striker. No where good enough for Arsenal.
U know Wenger's philosophy. With Morata(likely) and Giroud in d squad no need to spend on buying another top striker.

TheGoodJoe:
Come On Coach Siasia. If you do not know Derek Osede, research about him. It is myopic leaving such a talent behind after he has pledged his international future to us.

Derek Osede is the most technically trained Nigerian defender. For Christ Sake, one of his Academy coaches and some of his Academy teammates won the Champions League yesterday.

If Coach Siasia tries him and he does not fit in, I can understand but not giving him a chance is Ludicrous.
So u now understand when we complain of Siasia's selections.

Especially in dat defense he is avoiding top players so dat his boys: Amuzie, Oduduwa and Amaefule would nt have competitors.

We are watching.

Reminds me of when Mancini started his new season at Manchester City. Joe Hart returned from his loan spell in Birmingham City and he did not feel he was in Mancini's plans.

He went to Mancini's office and told Mancini he would head back to Birmingham City for a second loan spell. Obviously, Joe Hart did not expect to play because of Shay Given.

Mancini said Joe Hart should not leave because he will choose his number one Keeper after the Preseason. At the end of the Preseason, Joe Hart was the number one keeper.

What I am saying is that Chidebere Nwakali gains if he gives Manchester City a real shot. He can not know if he is in the plans of Guardiola without believing and working hard for it.
Joe Hart na son of the soil na.

TheGoodJoe:

If Coach Pellegrini thought he was good enough to break into the Manchester City squad, that is enough for me. It is not just about replacing Yaya but training under one of the best conditions in the game.

Working with Guardiola will go a long way in making Chidebere Nwakali a top player.

No one can know if C. Nwakali is good enough unless he is good enough.

Stardom is about belief and handwork under ideal conditions. If Chidebere Nwakali works hard towards it and believe in himself, he can achieve the unimaginable.
My heart feels the way you do for Chidi Nwakali but my head tells me he may not be part of Peps plans for the next season.

TheGoodJoe:
Chidebere Nwakali should give City a shot. Coach Pellegrini picked him for the Preseason in America were Nacho was amazing. Unfortunately, Nwakali injured and we did not get a chance to see him.

If Pellegrini believed Chidebere was good enough (After impressing in training), then he has the potential of breaking into the City squad.

With a possible departure of Yaya, there is space for him.

If Pellegrini believed Chidebere Nwakali was good enough back then, I think he should head to the Etihad campus and battle for his place in the team.
Not taking anything away from C. Nwakali but do u really think he is a good enough replacement for the out going Yaya Toure?
