But d attacking style we will play tomorrow will really help our defense line . The Azubuike Okechukwu that I know from the CAF U23 Tourney is a very skillful and mobile midfielder. In addition he is a bossy and highly influential kind of player. |

lexyman: Nice formation .i think I will go with this line up .i will keep simon if possible through out 90mins cos of his ability to score set pieces . Yes. We need to maximize the full potentials of our forwards. Throwing all of 4 of Simon, Moses, Musa and Ighalo from the start of the game is like hitting the ground running. Musa's ability behind a main striker was highlighted in the game between Nigeria and Argentina at the 2014 WC. He also plays that position at CSKA. Notice I played Azubuike in front of Mikel bc of Mikel's defensive abilities. He could provide shield for our "weakened" CB positions. In the return fixture Onazi would play DMF while Mikel goes to CM position. |

There was a flamboyant guy we bastardized his name to micho a, then the 3 brothers. Poverty is bad, our house didn't even have light let alone TV. Things had taken a very bad turn. I remember listening to the Daman miracle on radio, that was some crazy match. Before you finish jubilating, another goal is in.
I didn't start fully watching matches again until the 94 nations cup, there were more pressing daily survival matters to attend to. |

Napoleon55: I believe 4-3-3 is the best formation for this game against Egypt,in order to accommodate most of the inform stars. Onazi,Mikel,Iwobi on the midfield while Ighalo lead the attack with Musa and any of the two Moses', we unleash one moses on each half. Iheanacho should come in as a super sub in the second half. The 4 most inform defenders should make up the back 4. The formation can be switched from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2.
Likely line up.
1-IKEME 2-CHUBZOR OKONKWOR 3-UWA 4-ONAZI 5-EFE 6-OBOBONA 7-MUSA 8-IWOBI 9-IGHALO 10-MIKEL 11-MOSES
Subs- IHEANACHO MOSES Starting with a 4-3-3 in a game of this magnitude is a no-no for me. 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 would be ideal and safer. |

tbaba1234: Carl Ikeme (GK) Shehu Abdullahi Elderson Echiejile Godfrey Obaboana Efe Ambrose Azubuike Okechukwu Mikel Obi Ahmed Musa Moses Simon Victor Moses Odion Ighalo
Likely side, According to owngoalnigeria.com
Good side. We definitely need more center back options, if Efe or Oboabana get hurt, what happens? Infact this is the most likely starting line -up. Let me set this up in a 4-4-2 formation: .........Ikeme Abdullahi..Ambrose..Obaobona..Echiejile ............Mikel ...................Azubuike Simon.................................Moses ...........Musa ........................Ighalo On worries abt CB getting injured we already have 2 injured. A couple of other defenders are on the bench. Going back to "he should have invited Awaziem or Ehizubie" is now a postmortem |

I am 1998 set. I finished at 16 years old because my birthday is November. So he is within 35-36. Which is not far from my assumption.
That does not mean he could not finish at sixteen.
When Martins burst into the scene at Inter Milan (I did not hear of him when he was at Reggianna), people called him father. Meaning he was in his late twenties to thirty.
It was not so. When I met that guy, I knew Martins was above the age he claims but it was not wide as people believed. For some1 whose official age is 31. |

terzurum5: U-23 VS BRAZIL: AWONIYI,OSIMHEN,AJAYI,SOLOMON IN CONTENTION TO START https://i0.wp.com/owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/image-148.jpg?resize=300%2C300 The quartet of Taiwo Awoniyi,Victor Osimhen,Junior Ajayi and Theophilus Solomon are presently in a battle for a starting spot in Nigeria’s U-23 attack for the friendly game against Brazil.
The duo of Victor Osimhen and Taiwo Awoniyi were paired as strikers in one of the teams during yesterday training game while Junior Ajayi and Theophilus Solomon attacked for the other team.
Although it ended 0-0 the quartet put in a performance that showed their willingness to battle for a shirt in the game against Brazil.
While Osimhen and Taiwo remain the favourites to start the duo of Ajayi and Solomon showed a lot to suggest they might get the nod ahead of the earlier mentioned duo.
Ajayi and Solomon combined nicely on several occasion and were more mobile in making runs behind the defence but the combo of Awoniyi and Osimhen were more reliant on balls from the flanks or through the middle.
Their form should be a pleasant worry for the coach when he names his squad for the Thursday game. http://owngoalnigeria.com/2016/03/23/u-23-vs-brazil-awoniyiosimhenajayisolomon-in-contention-to-start/ None of this quartet would make my top 5 U23 Centre Forwards rating. Siasia should know what he is doing in d area of team selection. |

Martins graduated from Secondary school in 1997 when d average age of Sec Sch graduants then was 17-18yrs. Oya work ur maths. |

Some will come out. Not many. See, TheGoodJoe. I know you are saying this all because of ur Love for Iheanacho. I love that guy too but I cannot vouche for him the way you do. I have said this in times past and you guys dnt seem to see reasons with me: I have seen a lot of promising young talents become average as they age. And the ones that were average at a younger age progress better as they age. Not jst only in Nigeria. I can only pray that he improves as he ages. So many, I mean so many world class players would have emerged in 2 yrs time that fall within the 20-23 yrs bracket that may eclipse Iheanacho. Even among the Nigerian players. |

TheGoodJoe:
That is why first I say for now he gets what he needs to develop. When he develops, he seeks playing time.
Yes. Iheanacho will get regular playing time, two years for now. His development is on point and he is already one of the best finishers in the game when you take his goals to playing time ratio.
The reason Man City spent so much on the academy is to have a kind of Barcelona set up where a lot of the squad is gotten from La Masia Academy. Iheanacho is a big part of the project. He has to play to begin the success of the project.
I do not see much young players close to Nacho's ability in the future for us to see someone in the market ahead of Nacho.
There is also an improved Contract waiting for Iheanacho as soon as he sorts out who represents him. You make this mistake often. I have always said it that football progression is not like an arithmetic progression. Some will progress faster than others in a geometric fashion. In two years when Iheanacho would have turned 21-22, u would be amazed to see so many fantastic 21-22 years old players that you would be wondering where they were 2-3yrs back. You think Iheanacho is the best 19yrs old footballer in the world. Let God keep us alive till that 2 years time you are talking about. |

I feel Shearer was better but I think has more to do with preference of Shearer's style and his longevity on the big stage.
Yekini was up there with the best hitmen in the game. He was a top talent.
I do not think Martins was an age cheat . I met a friend of his in Calabar. The boy read Biochemistry and he was a good player. He was about the same age Martins claimed. Martins longevity tells that he was really young when he burst into the scene.
Martins remains the most unfairly treated Nigerian striker in the Super Eagles. He was top quality but never got a run to prove himself in the National team. Bros I know Martins reach house o. |

amagunnerfan: When I remember Finidi, I always say "who is Figo, who is Beckham's father" I will argue it from now till tomorrow, Finidi was better than both players ( on the wing) but off course, he is African, that's his crime for not been recognised as the aforementioned duo. When Finidi was bossing d Right wing in Europe Figo was jst coming up. Beckham, that one was still in d academies. Finidi changed the role of a Right Winger. He invented the modern way of playing from the Right wing. The old way of playing the Right winger (i was a Right winger) was to run as fast a u can towards the conner flag and throw a pull out to ur striker hu would be waiting to nod d ball into d net. Finidi will from d Right wing drive d ball towards d 18yards box and either make d killer pass their or take d shot for a goal.He scored lots of goals for both club and country even as a winger. He re-invented d Right wing play.Today strikers can play from d Right wing. Welcome on board fellow gunner |

SirVjay: The Super Eagles preparations ahead of the first leg of the all-important 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt have suffered a huge set-back as Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi took no part in the Super Eagles’ training today March 22 in Abuja, over a minor injury paving way for England’s bid to secure the youngster.A top official close to the team disclosed exclusively to Naij.com Sports in Abuja that the player vomited earlier in the day, possibly as a result of the food he ate and was advised to stay back at the hotel. The father of the youngster was also present at the training session which was open to the media and fans. However, Iwobi have joined the party as they proceed to Kaduna for final preparations of the encounter billed to hold at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium on Friday March 25 at 4pm. It would be recalled that the Arsenal prodigy was the first overseas-based player to arrive in the Super Eagles’ camp in Abuja, and was joined by his colleagues Umar Aminu and Godfrey Oboabona, as well as John Mikel Obi, Odion Ighalo and Aaron Samuel. No wahala. Even if it is the 89th minute of the return leg in Alexandria we will cap him. |
