Pellegrini must really have it out for Iheanacho....City fans are speculating that maybe Kelechi shagged his grand daughter and that's why he won't give him playing time grin

Anyway, Pelle is just about done with City, they'll really need to get Pep in the Summer....such a long wait
Mayb If Iheanacho was English....
U guys here know I am nt d type that hype players. I have always maintained a conservative stance on Iheanacho.
Though I still dnt rate him as highly as most peeps here do, bt i still believe he is better than the playing time he is being given.Iheanacho has shown that he can play both as an AM, SS and a CF. I think he is good enough to even start a couple of EPL games.

If this "snub" by Pellegrini continues into d next season(if Pellegrini remains). Iheanacho should seek a transfer.

I am nt a City fan. Iheanacho's development is important for our national team.

Bros, Did I ever mentioned players playing regular football in Hungary lower division?

All I have mentioned so far are players playing regularly in the Eredivisie, Pro league, Championship, LA liga, Segunda-division, MLS and the premier-league. And that's all.
My using a Hungarian lower division was jst an illustration. As a coach u cannot strictly apply the "only those playing regular football will feature" when u know some very good players dnt get regular games bc they are in more competitive clubs.

Sensational headline! Out of the tens of hundreds of players eligible, why did this journalist single out these two players? Siasia didnt mention any names, so why didnt the author say "Siasia Insists No Automatic Shirts For Solanke and Taiwo"?

And forgiveness, I dont know what you read but there is nowhere in that article that Siasia mentioned players playing regularly.

Dude, I like you. You like to make yourself happy! grin grin grin
Dnt mind forgiveness he jst wants his wish of seeing all those naija oyinbo playing for Nigeria to come to pass.

If you ask me, na who me, I go ask? grin

Haba! You mean you have not seen the recent article that mentioned that players must be playing regularly before they are considered for selection? Don't worry I will dig it out. grin

Yes oo, because I always find positive in every negative. But the truth is Siasia said no automatic shirt for any player and that includes Kelechi Iheanacho and Isaac Success now. grin
That is typical of what every national team coach will say.
They seem to throw the camp open and use "regular football" as a criterion bt at same time they know some players hu will already make d team.U cannot tell me a player that players regular football in the Hungarian lower division is better placed than a player hu makes regular substitute apearances in a top EPL team.
We already know players who are very likely to make the team and baring any injuries and clubs refusal to release these players, the likes of Isaac Success, Moses Simon, Kelechi Iheanacho, Emmanuel Daniel, Azubuike Okechukwu, Stanley Dimgba, Oghenekaro Etebor are among those that are likely to make it to Rio.

Echiejile recovered and flopped. That is a fact. Echiejile is a weak crosser. If I start digging my comments, you will see complaints I made.

If you remember Oshaniwa running to celebrate with Coach Keshi in one of the qualifiers, it was due to his impact on the team.

I actually watch that wing a lot. There is no way you can compare them. I just hope Coach Keshi gives the young man a chance. When Oshaniwa plays, you do not notice his forward runs and track backs because he does it effortlessly.
We need to groom a new left back from this U23. The Super Eagles deserve better left backs than Echiejile and Oshaniwa.

In 1996 Celestine Babayaro featured at d Olympics and subsequently replaced Ben Iroha at left back. We need to do same here. We are tired of Echijile and Oshaniwa options. Both are mediocre left backs.

My mistake. Mohammed is a right-back.
Also, I've changed my mind on inviting Carl Ikeme to the squad. The keeper that played in the last Olympic qualifiers is very good; he deserves a starting spot in Brazil. Ikeme can be one of the 4 "alternates", not on the main 18-man squad.

The 3 over-aged players could be in the defense, midfield and attack.
U are right abt Ikeme. The U23 keeper is capable. Besides, we need to raise our younger goalies to take over on a longer term basis.

For sure. Goodjoe has said it all.
Musa Mohammed would be the 2nd choice left-back.
Since when did Musa Mohammed start playing left back?
Besides Musa Mohammed is U23 so he is eligible already and nt as over-aged.

I dnt even want any over aged player at that left back. We have good U23 players that can play that role.

Oshaniwa is far better than Echiejile. Echiejile's injury gave Oshaniwa the chance to represent us well at the World Cup. Echiejile's return coincided with the poor form of the Super Eagles which resulted in the poor games of the qualifiers.

Coach Keshi noticed it late and returned Oshaniwa to the line up. Our results improved but it was too late and Coach Keshi faoled to qualify us.

Oshaniwa is far ahead of Echiejile in all aspects, defending, overlapping and most of all, crossing.
I simply dnt agree. Oshaniwa was instrumental to our nt qualifying for the last AFCON.He was usually out of position and found it difficult to track back. In the commencement of the current AFCON qualifiers Keshi gave the left back role to Kingsley Madu.

If this is done in all fairness we know which section of the country over 90% of that money will go.

If there can b quota system in federal job distribution then there should b quota system with this also. The quota should b distribited in proportion with the population of states. Classification of "poor and vulnerable" should b done at states level. A man classified as "poor and vulnerable" in say Lagos may fall under d middle-class in Yobe.

Oshaniwa ke? Y? How?

Remember the little girl who charmed the world with her melodious voice years ago when she turned Gospel music to house hold jams with top hits like, Osamudiame, Emmanuel and many more.

Like it is around 1998. I was in the University when those songs were sang. I went home one holiday hearing my little nephews shouting "Osemudiamen!!" & things like "Oyide oyedi", "Joge joge".
I quickly took interest in the songs and even taught my nephews how to sing them. Those my little nephews are University undergraduates today, so Benita must definitely be a big girl by now.

You are thinking in the best interest of the club while forgetting about Osimhen.
Yes plenty have failed but that doesn't lessen any of his value. This isn't some kid arsenal heard about through scouts, the whole world has seen what he is about, right now he should have the upper hand because they want him. Wolfsburg didnt put him on trial and they already offered first team action. Also there is the possibility of getting injured something that has happened to our boys in the past, he should not even touch a ball this is a negotiation. The question is what can Arsenal offer him that Wolfsburg can't.
I am nt devaluating him in anyway. He should go for trials and prove his worth.

An Arsenal trial is necessary because the club has to access him in training and sees how he responds to their pattern of coaching and play.
Lol!I left some for peeps like hu didnt show up on time yesterday.

You are on pt bro. Every club has it's own pattern of training and coaching including playing philosophy. This is nt an issue of whether Osimhen is good enough or nt. We all know hu is a fantastic player. Arsenal needs to know if he can fit into their playing pattern and philosophy by inviting him for trials.

When u score 10 goals in 7 and then go on to help ur country qualify for the Olympics there is no need of trials. This seems like a ploy to lower his value and i am hoping he refuses to participate in such.
Nothing wrong with the trials. Countless Former U17 highest goals scorers have faultered. Arsenal want to b sure they are getting the value for their investment.

It is left to Osimhen to do himself this life changing favour.

trial?what an insult, arsenal are not serious, did't they saw him play at the world cup
There is absolutely nothing wrong in inviting him for trials. He is nt yet a senior international. Even some nt well established senior internationals go for trials too.

They may have only seen him at the U17 WC and they would physically want to see him perform.

It is normal for U17 players to go for trials. It is now left to Osimhen to prove his worth.

BTW u peeps overrate these our young players a lot.

No one is saying don't celebrate waec, all i am saying is where are they now? You celebrate the success of the team but u forget the individuals. Football is a job for a select few and youth football is supposed to prepare these boys for such prospect. The light at the end of the tunnel isn't winning a world cup, it is creating world class players, players who can thrive in any league.
Where also are the Mexican players that won the U17 in 2005 alongside Dos Santos ?
Where are all d Swiss players that won the 2009 U17 alongside Ben Khalifa and Shaqiri? Where are the Mexican players that won the 2011 U17?( Dnt even know any of them).

U can even go way back to 2003 where Fernando Gago and co won for Argentina.Where are they.

What of the French players that won it in 2001?

That's y I say it is a global trend.U17 is jst for talents discovery and most of the products of that age grade dnt end up playing at top levels. Where the future of most teams starts is at d U20s.
Sports › Re: All The News About The Olympic Eagles (U-23) HERE! by Icon4s(m): 4:13am On Dec 24, 2015
BascoVanVeli:
The thing is winning U-20 isn't success either. They need to be playing at the highest level, Brasil has been winning everything by simply sorting out the men from the boys. Out of every team they find a special player to push up.
Bros when ur child writes common etrance exams and emerge d best in Nigeria u dnt celebrate it? When he also emerge d best overall in WAEC u still dnt celebrate him. U want to wait untill he emerge as d best PHD holder in d world before you celebrate his success?

Success can recorded and celebrated at different levels and stages. If u win d U17 it is success at that level. If u win the U20 WC it is also success at that level. Only 8 countries in the world have won the FIFA world cup. So all the other member countries are failures?

Okocha made the list.
It baffles me how forgiveness reasons that Alaba is better than Okocha.
