Must we wait for him to become a nuclear bomb before we cap him.
I was very impressed by his ability to shoot at 25 yards plus instinctively with both feet. He is our likely next target in the Midfield. |

ChrisKels: How come Ansu Fati is eligible for Portugal bkus Guinnea Bissau was colonised by Portugal, but, players from anglophone and Franco countries are never automatically eligible for England and France respectively?
Where are my fellow lovers of history? Junnyjake, icon4s, Nerdy et al Ansu Fati was born in Bissau to Guinea Bissau parents. So I didn't see what makes him directly eligible to play for Portugal. If at all any other country wants to claim him it should be Spain and not Portugal even though the later were their former Colonial masters. Or am I missing something here? |

Meliforme: Neither Ndidi, Etebo nor Aribo has the passing range, we have in Zuby. Comparatively, Zuby is a playmaker. Zuby brings a sort of dominance and stability. A midfield that has Zuby will hardly colapse. Zubys' infusion into the current crop will set a lot of difference. I had always said that Azubuike Okechukwu is one of the most underrated upcoming players in Nigeria. He has not also been lucky with his clubs. |

MetalJigsaw: Bro that Aribo I saw yesterday should displace Etebo. the guy is so mobile, slick-footed and really good in attack... He has almost all the traits of an attacking midfielder. You just spoke mind. We can convert him to an AM in the SE. He is a very creative player and also loves moving into scoring positions. So we can play him as either a CM or an AM( If or when Iwobi get substituted) |

Nya is 24, played with Iheanacho in the U17. Then he cannot be 24. 17 + 6 is 23. That is oldest any of Iheanacho's set can be now. I have watched Anemena a lot, he is a rock solid CB. But like I said, he still a CHAN material. |

TheSuperNerd: Wow. Ghana made it. And CIV overturned that 1st leg result against Guinea. Interesting.
Indeed the U-23 Afcon proper will be bloody oooo...
Meanwhile we won 5-1 on aggregate not 5-0. Thanks jare. The 5:0 was so sweet so tay I forgot say we ever lost 1:0 to that crap Sudanese team CIV in particular really shocked me. This was a Guinean side that eliminated Senegal 3:2 on aggregate and had gotten a 1:0 win in Abidjan! As for Ghana I saw it as a 50:50 situation. Playing the games during the FIFA break really gave opportunity to the West African power houses to get their foreign based players. But now where the problem is is I don't think the tournament falls within the FIFA window. This would have been a beautiful tournament to watch if all teams that can have their best possible U23 players. Looking at those 8 teams I cannot even point out who are the favorites. Na war we dey go so o |

Well it think it was a good game. One of the major upsides of that game was the number of chances created including shots on Target.
The defense had a shaky start but improved as the game progressed only to lose concentration for the 45mins that we conceded the two goals. Semi Ajayi was partnering Ekong for the first time but the duo did ok together. Aina IMO had one of his best games for Super Eagles last night. Though was caught out of position on 1 or 2 occasions but this is normal for a RB who plays like Wing Back. Collins did ok, though just like Aina got caught once or twice.
The midfield trio of Etebo-Aribo-Iwobi did an excellent job together. Joe Aribo seems to have won the hearts of virtually all and sundry. Like I have often opined you don't need full 90mins or 2 games to know a player who can add value. He has excellent interception and drilling skills but needs to try to release balls a bit earlier. WELCOME TO THE SUPER EAGLES JOE ARIBO. Etebo again proved he is a valuable asset to the team as he played the DM position and made us forget we didn't have Ndidi in the game. And Iwobi, this boy keeps improving. He seemed to have have brought his Everton form into that game. Point accurate passes and he defended a lot also. However, he still needs to improve on his shooting skills.
And for the attack the youthfulness and adventurous nature of the 3 man attack Kalu-Osimhen-Chukwueze was a delight to watch and posed problems for the Ukrainian defense for a larger part of the game. Kalu's fitness level is back, we really missed him at the AFCON (if you know you know). Chukwueze need to learn to play a little more with his pairs. His confidence and level composure are obviously increasing. And Osimhen was awesome in his pressing, bold holding and distribution. Never really got a perfect chance but he also had a good game
For the subs: Dennis Bonaventure showed promise. He obviously is work in progress and one for the future. Let us also assess Ademola Lookman. Esiti has yet again failed to impress on his return to the Super Eagles. Considering that Ndidi was not in that game, Aribo's prospect in the team and other young upcoming Midfielders like Ejaria and Eze, I don;t see a future for Esiti in that team. Awaziem did his job as usual. Nothing exceptional. Josh Maja nothing worth saying, due to the few number of minutes he played, except that he is now fully a Nigerian.
Some people are blaming Rohr for his substitutions. Rohr obviously tested his first 11 by starting them and they delivered. That is what matters IMHO. However, another revelation about the nature of the impact of the substitutions is that the team doesn't have depth. For instance, we are still lacking in number of creative midfielders which was why we had to deploy Mikel to that position in the first place. We need a deputy for Iwobi.
Rohr has continued to impress in the area of players selection and team management, but like I have always opined, he needs a tactician. Excellent tactical changes, with players switching positions, would have better helped us manage that 2-0 lead.
Good Morning my people |

TheSuperNerd: U23 AFCON Final round Qualifiers 2nd leg Update
Nigeria U23 striker Odey predicts 3-0 win over Sudan
https://scorenigeria.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/odey-nigeria-u23-training-1140.jpg
Belgium-based striker Stephen Odey has predicted a 3-0 win over Sudan on Tuesday for Nigeria to go through to the U23 AFCON in Egypt.
On Thursday, Sudan pipped Nigeria 1-0 at home, but the Genk new signing has told SCORENigeria they will be gunning for a big win in Asaba on Tuesday to advance to the U23 AFCON, which will also serve as a qualifying tournament for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
“We just have to make use of our chances,” he declared after the team’s first training today in Asaba.
“We lost 1-0 in Sudan and it is now an opportunity for us to redeem ourselves in the eyes of Nigerians by winning with a good goal margin like 3-0 and above,we need to utilise our chances.”
The former MFM FC star striker, who has also been capped by the CHAN Eagles, will most likely lead the attack on Tuesday after he also started the game in Sudan.
Kelechi Nwakali is the only new player drafted for the return leg after coach Imama Amapakabo failed to secure the release of Club Brugge striker David Okereke and winger Orji Okwonkwo, who plays for Montreal Impact in the MLS.
Source: ScoreNigeria Chairman no be by talking. You guys need to prove to Nigerians that you are ready for the SE challenge. tbaba1234: I am saying, it looks more like reinforcements after the first leg loss as those names were not on Imama's list of 23. That is why me i always believe in using your best possible players for any crutial game you play. Why omit Okereke and Orji in the first place only to lose the first leg and start running to invite them late. Once again just like Libya they under-rated Sudan. When the boys lost 1-0 I was not surprised because we didn't filed our real U23 superstars most of who are in the SE camp. If Rohr is not aware this Olympics qualifiers is more important than that Ukrainian friendly! The future of the SE always lies in Olympics team. There is no way Sudan would have beaten Nigeria if players like Kalu, Osimhen, Onyekuru, Chukwueze and Awaziem played the game. With these five players not on the U23 list Imama still omitted David Okereke! I just hope the players already in the U23 camp are good enough to overturn the deficit. |

Pojomojo: MY EXPERIENCES IN SOUTH AFRICA: REASONS FOR THE XENOPHOBIC ATTACKS
During my stay in South Africa, I discovered that their Independence is a paper independence like that of their elder brother, Nigeria. They are politically independent but economically dependent on the west whose Neo-colonialists and Imperialists Agents own, control and also manage the South African economy.
2. I discovered Racism, the discrimination and segregation between the Blacks and Whites is still very visible and real. It only takes a Black guy from a very wealthy home to mingle or marry Whites.
3. South Africans especially the men are very lazy and unproductive. They envy, jealous and also hate hard working and very productive Nigerians.
4. 65% of South Africa ladies like to date and also marry Nigerians. Most of them I interacted with, said their Nigerian guys are tough and can protect them as against their lazy and weak South Africa men.
5. They envy the high level of education of Nigerians. One of our South African Lecturers told us, that if you throw a stone into a gathering of every 20 Nigerians, it will definitely fall on the head of a Professor. It was in South Africa, I knew that if you put all African Professors together, they are not up to the number of Nigerian Professors.
Go to Harvard University, Oxford, Cambridge, Toronto and other world class universities, you will see hundreds of Nigerian Professors, who are doing academic exploit.
But in summary, I do not blame those hoodlums, I blame the successive bad administrations in Nigeria who have reduced great Nigerians to beggars. They have pauperized all Nigerians and forcefully worn us inferiority garb that has made Nigerians to loose their self-esteem and self-worth.
We are richer than America, Britain, France and most of the Western countries we look up for grants and aids that has kept us as perpetual slaves, yet because of bad leadership, corruption, mindless looting, embezzlement, mismanagement, misapplication, misappropriation, conversion and diversion of our commonwealth and patrimony by the minority few who often manipulate the vast majority, Nigerians have been subjected to objects of global mockery and subjects of ridicule.
Nigerians must rise up and save this great country before it becomes too late.
Copied If it is in terms of independence South Africa is older than Nigeria. South Africa became independent in 1910. You people confuse freedom from colonialism with from apartheid. |
