Oga icons you wan start another debate o Etim vs Okocha abi.

Well Okocha was able to manage the stardom but Etim failed woefully.

I rate Etim than Okocha sha.
That is why I said Okocha was just a more disciplined version of Etim and so he improved his game. The Okocha that played U20 no reach the Etim that played U20/21 naa. You know. Only If Etim had kept his head down....

Oga! Kayode was never given a chance to prove himself despite the fact that he won Austrian player of the year and top goal scorer.

He deserved it more than all those players you listed.

The likes of Mane and Keita who won the Austrian player of the year have gone far in their career.
Una still dey for this matter undecided

The best of Etim Esin was 87 U21 qualifiers especially against Zambia in Lagos and also 1990 WC qualifiers.

Etim ruined himself with bad attitudes and got paid for it.
I also remember his display in the final of the 1987 AYC against Togo in Lagos. We won the game 3:0. Though I can't really recall the role he played in the 1990 WCQ. I didn't get to watch most of the games.

I think Okocha was just a more disciplined version of Etim. Etim was really good. Its a pity he chosed to end his career the way he did. undecided

everyone is rating Egypt because of their home fans...if you watched the way these guys celebrated the world cup qualification ehh.
with that kind of fans...@ the stadium the opponent will be intimidated.

I just pray any of ivory coast, Ghana and Senegal can help us eliminate Egypt because the super eagles will struggle to play a draw under such atmosphere...
The way you guys under-rate Nigeria sef undecided. Issorite.

I do hope Okoye and Zaccalla will step up to the challenge in no distant time.
Hmm... these too, I will say too early to bank on them especially Zaccalla. He is still very Young and still has a lot to learn. Will keep an eye on his development though. As for Okoye, good he has been invited to the U23. Lets watch him from there. I also have an eye on Oremade in this WYC.

Zambia were also perennial under achievers just like Senegal.
But Prio to that tournament they were not tipped as favourites to Win because they were known Perennial under-achievers. That is the case for Senegal today. Because they are known to be Perennial under achievers you cannot put your money on them to win.

Ikeme's injury was grossly unexpected and with Enyeama out of the picture we lacked a leader in the goal keeping department.
I do hope that wouldn't be our Achilles heel!
Sincerely yours, Nff needs to look into it quite urgently.
Nigeria has never had it this Low in the Goal Keeping department since the 1970s.

Same was said about Zambia till they went all the way. Every dog has his day. Senegal will get it right one day. Could happen even sooner than you think.
Case of Zambia further butresses my point. You dont need to have the richest assemblage of players for you to win the AFCON.

When I tell una say Senegal get players pass us almost everybody attacked me

No be by who get players pass okay ,naija can beat any African team

Is it not the same Senegal I watched at the World Cup ,those tootles bull dog ?

We can beat Senegal and they can also beat us ,stop saying we can't beat them ,there is nothing special about African teams .
Experience has shown that the team that has the best squad mostly does not win the AFCON.

An average team that is well managed and with a rich pedigree and burning desire can win it which is why peeps have rated Egypt, Nigeria and Cameroon ahead of Senegal.

based on pedigree yes.. But when u look at d squad strength, there's no doubt that Senegal are one of the best in Africa!! That's why I rank them that high.. Again we can't guarantee if CAF won't play some funny games to get Salah and Mane to face off in the final ..

As for Morocco they have a good squad too.. And a great coach!
Bros no be today we don dey hear about Senegalese squad strenght. Dem no dey even reach semi-final sef talk of final.
Same goes for Morocco.

Both teams are good no doubt, but i dont just rate them highly when it comes to the AFCON. Cameroon are even more likely to win it than Senegal. grin

5. Nigeria

6. Cameroon

7. Tunisia

8. Ghana

9. Algeria

10. DR Congo

11. Uganda

12. Mali

13. South Africa

14. Guinea

15. Zimbabwe

16. Guinea Bissau

17.Angola

18. Kenya

19. Tanzania

20.Benin

21. Burundi

22.Madagascar

Based on pedigree, I will remove Senegal from that top 4. Even Nigeria and Cameroon with their current squads have higher probabilities of winning it.

Morocco will not also make my Top 4
