I need someone to Tell me why Ojukwu Led His Biafra army to South west...What was Ojukwu Purpose of leaving His Biafra Territory to the Yoruba Land?....Was He planning to capture and Enslave the Yoruba's or what?....I just need answers to the questions and no sentiment should be attach.
The target was not the Yorubas, but the then Federal government sitting in Lagos.

Yes, but it is not the most talented team that wins AFCON.

You can't underestimate home advantage .

Most of our quality at under 20 play in local academies or are already abroad. Many of who we parade from the NPFL are 24-25 year olds playing as under 20. Not all but many.

I think some of Aigbigun's invites are good quality, Dele-Bashiru for instance is highly rated at Man city even though contract renewal talks broke down. He is expected to join Atalanta in the summer. From the reports of their last friendly, his introduction changed the game. He looks like a proper steal for us.

I also think some of the foreign based are poor or average. Henry Offia is a poor player and Ash Kigbu can not displace the CBs.

It is a mixed bag.
On ur first paragraph, most of those players who are 19 and 20 and are still in local academies are not good enough quality for the U20 national team. Period.

I am sure u know there are even 17 years olds already playing NPFL football. I know u may not agree with the age but not all NPFL players cheat with their age.

U can say our U20 NPFL players are
24-25 but that is just it a belief. U don't have any valid proof. Like i have said before, anyone with any valid proofs of age cheating should come up with them. If we had not seen Players like Success, Yahaya, Awoniyi, Uzoho, Iheanacho grow would u have believed they are 22 or less?

On the team selection, like I said before, not all the foreign players will bring quality. Any new players' inclusion must be justifiable. And not because he is foreign based or because u think a particular set of players are too old and so must be dropped.

I expect a very solid team when the 'best' of the foreign pros are infused.

The team that played the AYC was horrendous. There is no doubt that you can find quality on the local scene at under 20 level but most of the quality Nigerian players find their way abroad sooner or later and too many players engage in age-cheating.

Apart from Ozornwafor, none of the other guys from the local scene that played the AYC excite me. That said, it is possible that there will be some breakout players at the WC

At the end of the day, i think Aigbogun might end up with a decent side capable of doing well especially with the talents joining the team.
Horrendous? Tell me which team dominated them in all 5 games they played. They even outplayed Mali (eventual winners) that we lost to in the semi-final.

Like I said before what the team needs is creativity in the Midfield and in the more advanced positions.

That team is not as bad as some of guys are tagging them to be. Remember also the terrible pitches in Niger.

Mark my words, some of those Foreign based Players will not be able to break into that team. And some of the foreign based/foreign borns that may make it through may not break into the team's starting 11.

If you tell me the Nigerian league lacks quality players who are 24/25 and above of course I will agree. But not U20 players.

Which specific player have i brought down??

I have only spoken about overall quality.. As a whole. There will still be many that i feel shouldn't make the team in the final list.

The hope is that the sprinkling of quality from a few players like chukwueze will prevent a disgraceful outing.
Even that AYC team as it is cannot have a disgraceful outing. That team may just lack creativity upfront but it is a very compact team that is hard to beat. They never lost any game from open play. Conceding only 1 goal all the through the tournament.

And some of you will be shocked to find out that some of those Home boys that played the AYC will be better than some of those Foreign pros we have been mentioning.

I am not skewed towards foreign pros, foreign born or home based. I am for the best player for every position irrespective of where u were born or where u play.

I disagree most talented Nigerian players are still playing on the streets its not like academies are affordable or available, it's mostly for kids with rich parents

People like Jamie Vardy were not discovered until they were 25, I strongly believe that there are millions of kids out there that can compete with if not displace the silver spoon academy kids
Was Jamie Vardy only playing street football when according to you he was discovered?

We are not talking about academy kids, we are talking about young Professional U20 players. The best places to pick the U20 players are from professional clubs, not even the academies not to talk of the streets.

You can't say you discovered a player who is playing on tv

Pick him from the street play him on tv, that's what discovery is

That is what Manu Garba is doing and Paul Aigbogun is not doing
You may pick players from the street for U17 and U15.
The U20 is for young PROFESSIONAL players.

Any player 18-20yrs of age that is only still playing street football is not good enough for our U20 team.

Cameroon vs Angola also ended 0:0 and Cameroon won 4:3 on penalties.

Not much separating all 4 African Representatives.
I also noticed the high intensity from all the teams I watched. Even Tanzania played some wonderful football. Football has really developed in Africa. All countries now know that the way to remain on top in football is to take your cadet teams seriously.

Diet definitely influences MRI tests. Players who had poor diets growing up would develop slower than those who fed relatively well growing up.
Can diet affect extent of bone fusion. That is bone fusion progressing faster for Nigerian kids than those of their West African neighbors?

Besides, I would not want to believe that an average Malian , Guinean or Burkinabe kid enjoys better diet than Nigerian kids.

This our U17 keeper na tozo but this Guinea U17 players looks too big and old for normal 17 year old
I have raised this issue here in times past. Nigeria seems to always produce the smallest teams at the U17 WC. Why do our players easily fail the MRI? This MRI has virtually screened out all the 17yrs olds in the team leaving behind mostly 15 and 16 yrs olds. Yet when u see players from places like Mali, Cameroon CIV, Guinea and Senegal they will appear so big and u keep wondering how they pass the MRI.

Now this issue of wrist bone fussion, does type of diet affect it? Or are Nigerians naturally stunded people? Dr Michael, DrLikita12 and Dr TheSuperNerd (wherever u are) please we need some explanations here.

With a more refined selection and better training with an objective of efficient football, we can raise a top team from these guys.

Either way, we are far from ready.

We also need an intense competition for Ubani. He seems the only one with the responsibility to fire at will.
The boys are talented individually. Manu just needs to take them back into that bakery and by the time the U17 WC starts we want to see a well co-ordinated team firing from all cylinders.
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Icon4s(m): 5:17pm On Apr 24, 2019
Even though I would have loved us to win the CAF U17, personally I am not much pained we lost out in the semis against an obviously bigger and highly physical Guinean side.

Guinea bullied us all through the game but i will give our boys kudos for fighting back and Defending very well.

We seem to have a bunch of talented Players that are yet to understand each other. Yes we scored 5 against Tanzania but it has become obvious that Tanzania came to the tournament without a defense.

Manu has a lot to do with this team especially with the attack. They are not playing for each other at all. I see are a bunch of players eager to impress scouts or whoever. He also still needs to go back and scout for more players. After all 5 players failed the MRI and so they will need to be replaced in the squad.

The team has done the most important thing by qualifying. Recall Amuneke's 2005 U17 finished 4th at the CAF U17, losing 3-1 to Guinea in that 3rd place game. Yet they went ahead to win at the World stage. I so much believe in these 2019 Eaglets. They are individually gifted and have what it takes to follow in the foot steps of their predecessors in winning the U17 WC.

Nigeria as a nation is not doing badly in our age grade competitions this year. Our U20 and U17 are playing in the WC and our U23 are waiting for the next victims grin

Plenty of football to watch this year o. cheesy
