PoliticsRe: Is $1 To N500 Ok?: Nigerians Protest At CBN Headqueters, Abuja (Photos) by Icon79(m): 5:32pm On Jan 27, 2017
Instead of protesting the price of dollar, these folks should make themselves useful by producing some beneficial goods and services for Nigeria. The price of dollar and any other foreign currency would go down drastically if Nigeria reduces its dependency on foreign goods. Other than that, even the Nigerian Central Bank cannot fix the exchange rate....if they like, they can carry placards from here to the moon.

BS upon BS!

MFM, Winners, Deeper Life, Shiites etc would soon fall in line..

Lolzzzzz
Our pastors should get away from politics. There should be a clear separation between Church and State.

I don't like pastors who moralize politics and politicize religion. A big mistake and a sign of the end time.

You are right. Totally missed that. I always thought injuries affected Moses time at Liverpool. Rodgers missed a bargain there and it is shocking to imagine if he secured Moses for Liverpool. Klopp would have made a machine out of him.
With many of these coaches, if you're an African, then you'd be twice as good as the other guy to play. Once an African player has two bad games, he's going on the bench straight up! At the start of that season, the entire Liverpool team was having a bad season (a hangover from Luis Suarez's departure) but Rodgers decided to use Moses to make a statement.

Take for instance, this season, both Ighalo and Deeney are having a bad season at Watford but Deeney usually starts, it's only Ighalo who has completely lost his starting slot. Trust me, I would always advice our boys to check the history of any coach they plan to play for before making any commitments. After all, no matter how much he tries during the off season, Victor Moses would've gone back on loan if Jose Mourinho was still coaching Chelsea. Imagine that....Tells you all you need to know!
SportsRe: ‘Adebayor Is Very Lazy’- Brede Hangeland, Ex Team Mate Exposes Striker by Icon79(m): 5:09pm On Jan 27, 2017

Emmanuel Adebayor still believes he has a lot to offer the Premier League, but any potential suitors may wish to err on the side of caution after hearing a comical anecdote from Brede Hangeland.

Adebayor remains a free agent after playing as captain for his country Togo at the Africa Cup of Nations, and the former Arsenal striker wants another shot at the English top flight after claiming he is blessed with ‘golden genes’.

The 32-year-old forward may not be thankful to former Crystal Palace team-mate Hangeland, however, following his rather humorous recollection of their time together both on the pitch and in training.

Speaking on Norwegian radio show Heia fotball, Hangeland recalled: ‘I only played with him for six months but here’s a quick story. I was playing for Fulham and he played for Spurs.

‘We were attacking and I was marking Adebayor in the midfield. He suddenly said, “Ahhh, I’m hungry.” I replied, “What?”

‘I can’t wait for the game to finish, I’m so hungry,’ he said. Do you know a good restaurant in London, Hangeland?’

The former centre-back, who retired from professional football in August 2016, managed to stay focused on his game during that particular battle but was reminded of the striker’s insatiable appetite when the pair were reunited at Selhurst Park.

‘Later when he came to Palace I started to realise where this came from,’ Hangeland continued. ‘When we had strength workouts he would sit in the gym with just a cup of coffee and a muffin.

‘He was being paid by [Manchester] City, Tottenham and Palace at the same time, and he was sitting in the gym drinking coffee. Incredible natural talent, but very lazy.’

BS! didn't this guy said exactly the same thing about Zaha? All these cowards and losers should quit trashing their team mates once they retire. If you're man enough, say it to their faces while you're right there in the gym or something.

And by the way, his story get k-leg as well. Why would Adebayor, who has been living in London for about 10 years, be asking about a good restaurant in London? shocked

TheGoodJoe:

I think we can not blame Brendan for not sorting out Victor Moses injury problem. He was also on loan to Liverpool, so Brendan did not treat Victor as a Liverpool future player.

Efe burnt out and lost his speed. You can not blame Brendan who relies on pace in his strategies.

As for Onyekuru, his patience will mean him landing in Russia while he had an offer from Celtic. Eupen should do the right thing and let the young man go.
Victor Moses injury problem? Are you kidding me?? VicMo didn't have any injury problems at Liverpool. Brendan Rodgers just didn't give him enough chance to stake his claim. He kept playing Raheem Sterling and he'd always play Moses at an awkward position whenever he decides to play him. As regards to Efe, he has his shortcomings especially defensively but he's still good enough to start for Celtics.

Well, check out these quarter final pairings... Hard to call isn't it? wink

Egypt stand a good chance of winning it if they scale past a very good moroccan side.

Burkina Faso vs Tunisia

Senegal vs Cameroun

DR Congo vs Ghana

Egypt vs Morocco

This Afcon is very interesting.... *rubs palms*
Let me call it:

Burkina Faso vs Tunisia

Senegal vs Cameroun

DR Congo vs Ghana - this is a tough one, but I smell an upset here.

Egypt vs Morocco

Actually, it's all quite tough to call - because, Cameroun tend to over achieve. Morocco is quite a good team despite losing to Senegal. And Ghana v DRC is a toss up. DRC is more exciting to watch but Ghana might just nick it with experience and a good coach. Tough calls all!

There is a difference in interest and an offer on the table. Celtic has a good offer on the table of Eupen. With the window drawing to a close, it is either Onyekuru signs the Russian deal, in turn terminating his agent. Or stay at Eupen.

He wants to keep his agent and move to Scotland.
Good point; however, I don't have too much confidence in Brendan Rogers after he tried to destroy the careers of 2 Nigerian players (Victor Moses and Efe Ambrose). Sometimes patience is a virtue.

But you think this Egyptian team can win the title?
Yup. They are definitely not the best team in the tourney but they are very technical. I was quite impressed with the way they contained ghananese yesterday. Ghana huffed and puffed but the Pharaoh kept them at bay, with their counter attack tactics. They have a good coach.

I hope Eupen do the right thing for Onyekuru. Allow him go and work with Brendan Rodgers at Celtic. There is a wide coverage of the Scottish League than Russia. The weather is better. Let them release the young man.
Not if the likes of Liverpool and Hoffeinheim are interested on him.

He should just keep working hard....a much better offer than Celtics would come soon.

TOP FIVE TEAMS IN AFRICA.

See the list of top 10 African teams I gave him in no particular order:

Nigeria
Ghana
Cameroun
Ivory Coast
Senegal
Algeria
Egypt
Tunisia
Morocco
DR Congo

I want to throw it open to the house, forget about FIFA ranking. Using your knowledge of African football and knowing the capabilities of these individual nations can u list the best 5 teams presently in Africa? If you don't agree with my top 10 you can also list yours.

cc: All parliamentarians here.
Based on what I have seen at the AFCON, my top 5 would be (in this particular order):

Senegal
DR Congo
Ghana
Egypt
Tunisia

The jury is still out on Nigeria. I will find it difficult to rank a team that didn't qualify for the AFCON amongst the top 5 teams in Africa. Two games does not a team make.

It Should Worry All Nigerians That The President Will Readily Abandon The Country, Abdicate His Duties And Move To A Foreign Land For Vacation. In His Time As President Of America, You'll Hear Obama Has Gone To Hawaii. In Nigeria, Nowhere Is Good Enough For The President To Have A 10 Day Rest From Office. There's No Dollar To Run The Country But Just Enough To Fly The President Around.
In this case, he's going for a treatment tho. So that's understandable. The man looks very sick....vacation is what they termed it to hide the gravity of his sickness. My main beef is that after nearly 60 years of independence, our country cannot boast of even one reputable hospital!

Anyway, I will keep him in my payers nevertheless.
