Just finished watching the fake Ronaldo against Celta Vigo and his only contribution in the whole was to permanently live in the offside. Couldn't score, couldn't create, and unable to contribute in the defense. And Real Madrid lost 2-1 at home to Celta Vigo of all teams! It's funny that, except for a hapless penalty, the fake Ronaldo hasn't scored any goals since he was named the FIFA player of the year. Now compare that to what the peerless Messi has done over the past 3 weeks alone. Wow, FIFA must be having a buyer's remorse already |

terzurum5: Everton Rising Star Lookman Not Thinking About Nigeria – I’m Happy Representing England
https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/image-68.jpg
Everton rave of the moment Ademola Lookman says he is happy representing the English national team, in his first interview since his goal scoring debut in Everton’s 4-1 thrashing of Manchester City.
According to online reports there has been interest from Nigeria on holding talks with the talented 19 year old, who has represented England at various youth level to switch to Nigeria at senior level, but it appears those speculations are way off the mark.
Lookman on his part, while speaking on what prepared him for the goal scoring debut he had, pointed out the experience he had with the English youth team as one which prepared him for life in the Premier League.
” I have progressed a lot the last few years, I have a very sweet experience at Charlton, learning and working my way up, which I believe is why am at Everton”, Lookman said.
” Playing for England U19s has also helped my career a lot. It got me exposed and there’s a whole joy that comes from playing international football, something I experienced with England”.

cc: Forgiveness Well, let him represent England. Nobody should be begged to play for Nigeria. If we can't find 11 or so players to represent Nigeria, in a country of over 300 million people, then we should stop playing soccer. And in addition, we should only invite the players who are passionate and eager to play for Nigeria. I am all for picking giving players with Nigerian roots a chance to represent their country, but having Nigerian roots doesn’t mean you are passionate about playing for that country. And that should be the KEY. Hence, this guy should be removed from consideration. Pronto! FYI - I saw him against ManCity last Saturday and I think he's got potential, but he should wait for England if that's what he wants to do. We can't be anybody's fallback option. O pari |

Icon4s: NFF Rejects Caf’s Request To Host 2017 U-17 Nations Cup
THE Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) may have turned down a request from the Confederation of African Football, CAF to bail it out and host the 2017 edition of the African U-17 Championship. CAF had last week stripped Madagascar of the right to host the championship even as it had not made any concrete arrangement for another host. A reliable source at the NFF informed Sports Vanguard in Abuja that on Monday the federation received a letter from the continental body requesting it to bail it out by staging the competition scheduled to take place later in the year. According to our source who did not want to be mentioned, the NFF who has been battling a nagging financial crunch did not waste time in declining the offer. “Yes we have received a letter from CAF but there is nothing we can do to help them because we know the prevailing situation in the country. The nation is presently in recession and it will be foolish on our part to begin to request the government to venture into such. In fact that would have presented us in a very bad light before Nigerians.”The executive committee of CAF had met last Thursday in Libreville, Gabon and announced the withdrawal of the hosting right from Madagascar; a development many analysts believe is a way of getting back at the president of the Malagasy Football Federation, Ahmad Ahmad who is the only candidate that will contest the presidency of CAF with the age long incumbent, Issa Haytou. Hayatou a Cameroonian had been in charge of CAF since 1998 and despite a change of its bylaws last September to limit the tenure of its officers, CAF tactically left a window for him run again and if he expectedly wins, will be in office till 2021.
Read more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/01/nff-rejects-cafs-request-host-u-17-nations-cup/ Good idea! The NFF shouldn't host anything until they are able to pay their bills. How could you agree to host a tournament when you can't even pay your coaches and players their wages and dues? O pari |

Again, I have stated the same fact here on the forum, several times. The fake Ronaldo is obsessed with Messi, but Messi doesn't even care about Ronaldo. Messi's goal is to be the best player to ever play the game a ka the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT). In other words, Ronaldo is competing against Messi whereas Messi is competing against history. Do ever wonder why Messi is often compared with Pele and Maradona, whereas Ronaldo is always being compared to Messi? Bottom line, Messi is on a different standard |

legendte: They said we caused the war. Few military boys carried out a coup and the blood thirsty tribe killed our people. Awo supported the Aburi accord and later advised Gowon to do otherwise. Ojukwu had no choice but to defend his people. 244+ tribes against one tribe. Out of nothing they created things and formed a country. Foreign nations with their interest assisted the 244+ tribes to fight one tribe. Our Engineers created weapons and refined our oil. We matched stronger military to military. The very Awo had to advise Gowon to block foods for the innocent civilians. Ojukwu started the war to protect his people. In his judgement, there was no need to keep on the fight when his people started dying. He stopped the not because he was afraid nor because of hunger but because of his people. He was a brave soldier, educated and wealthy. Awo made sure we got just twenty pounds irrespective of how much you had. Our properties were declared abandoned property. 50 years later, the property grabbers are suffering even amidst of plenty. The very Awo was jailed and he later took his life. The blood thirsty tribes are being paid in their own coin. The 244+ tribes are no better. Today, no single tribe is more powerful than the Igbos in any human endeavour. Be it sports, education, entertainment, business and so on. We are Igbos and Igbos we shall remain. Igbo kwenu! If FIFA really want to fix the draw, there are a few quick fixes:
1. Reduce the tournament back to 24 teams
2. Reduce the soccer federations to 4 (Africa, Asia, Europe, and America). OCEANIA should be merged with AFC and CONMBEBOL should be merged with CONCACAF.
3. Each federation should produce 6 qualifiers plus the host and the defending champions.
This system would give all federation equal chances of winning. And no competitive advantage.

Akanbiedu: Right. It actually would reduce Africa's chances of winning. Tell me about it. That's what you get when you have a bunch he-goats who are only after lining their own pockets representing you at FIFA. How do you justify Africa having the same number of reps as Asia? And they would tell us that Africa hasn't performed too well enough to merit more reps. How can we perform wonders when our strongest teams, whether they are Nigeria, CIV, Ghana, Algeria, or Cameroun, tend to always find themselves in the group of death? Watch out, Nigeria would be in the group of death if we qualify for the next World Cup. It's a fixed system. How could we perform wonders when the refs are often biased against African reps? Good example: In 2010 World Cup, Sanni Kaita was given a straight red card for kicking out against the Greek player. Please keep in mind that, even though the Greek feigned injury, Kaita did not connect the kicked....but he got a straight red! Fast forward to the 2014 World Cup, Matuidi Blaise butchered a Nigerian player but he only got a yellow card. Think about that! One player got a straight red for kicking at an opponent who provoked him even though he didn't connect, but the other player got a paltry yellow card for almost a career ending injury he inflicted on another player! And you think they don't know what they are doing? Please, give me a break! |

heykims: Good Africa getting lion share of the increase of laudable. Nobody dey talk now even as Africa is considered above all other continents.. Sha don't make d Worldcup boring.. What do you mean by Africa being considered above all other continents? Africa got 4 additional slots, same with Asia. And Europe got 3 additional slots (with the host getting one free slot), and considering that an European nation would host the tourney over 50% of the time, this translate into a 3.5 new slots for Europe. Truth is, with 13 slots, Europe doesn't even need any additional slots. They are already over represented. And considering that Africa has almost 50% more federations than all the other continents; hence, Africa is still under represented. All in all, the whole expansion is silly. It's a shell game. It still wouldn't improve Africa's chances of winning the World Cup. This was just done for monetary reasons and to appease naive soccer fans. O pari |

Segadem: My Oga, the thing tire me oh! I have learnt not to criticize him again, because the more I criticise him the more his fans come against me, ...the only reason why CR7 will be picked ahead of messi is just because he has more fans than messi, and I will give the reasons Reason No 1: many soccer loving fans prefer Madrid team to Barca ( or should I say they hate barca because of what barca has done to their loving club) 2: 80% of man u fans hate barca as a team if u consider what barca did to them on two occasion in the champion league final, and almost 90% of arsenal fans hate barca for the same reason, and what of Chelsea's? I can never forget the die-minute Iniesta's goal it was the last straw that broke the camel's back of all the Chelsea fans, my uncle nearly die from the heart attack he received from that goal 3: We all know that CR7 was once hero of man u, and u can't leave your hero and celebrate another's
My brother, you don't tok am finis. No need to add anything else. In fact, the only thing I'd add is that Cristiano would always have an advantage over Messi also because he's the candidate of the Illuminati. And remember that the Illuminati indirectly controls the world. As a closet gay man, the Illuminati would always want Cristiano to win. Hence, when he eventually comes out of the closet, they would always remember him the best player to ever play the game. That would help them promote their perverted gay agenda. That's part of what's going on here. O pari |
