Nigerian oil company Aiteo Group has taken over the sponsorshipof the annual CAF Awards organised by the Confederation of African Football.

Telecommunications company Globacom has been sponsoring the awards since 2005 but Aiteo announced on Sunday that they are the new sponsors.

Now that we've heard/read from both parties, this should be investigated by an independent body/party, vis-a-viz Kachikwu's allegations, and if established that Kachikwu cried wolf when there was none, he should be summarily dismissed for undermining the Government he's a part of, especially for the baseless allegations, and for leaking the letter to the press (which I believe he did!).

He (Kachikwu), of all people, should know that a Minister of State is a "mere spare tyre", only as effective/influential as his principal (the substantive Minister) wants him to be. Buhari has successfully undermined him, by attending to the GMD's requests and granting approvals without his (Minister of State's) knowledge.

Sad, but that's how the cookie crumbles.

Kachikwu should honorably resign (if he's got any honor in him) or should be fired without further delay. His position has become untenable!

It's sad that a young man's life was lost in this incident. In a situation like this ideally Davido should have contacted someone close to Tagbo or his family about his demise rather than keeping them in the dark for so long.

As for Juliet, kudos to you for your effort. If i was in her shoes i would have done more than that at that particular time due to the frustration of been left in the dark about the circumstances that led to his death. I really appreciate her efforts it's really hard to be hit by a friend's sudden death and the people that knows about the unfortunate incident are not forth coming with details about the incident for such a long time.

I hope NPF would do a thorough investigation and ensure that an innocent man is not punished in this unfortunate incident. RIP Tagbo!
