you mean inspection is free? If you've not done it, better do, cos it's 2 weeks grace .dav1002: A quick update on my experience doing uberbolt so far
I got a Nigerian used Honda city 07 at a cheap price did the papers and servicing
Car-550k Papers (c of o) -60k Servicing and minor fixing -30k Ac (condenser, drier, compressor, flush and workmanship) -46k Painting /body work-67k
On Monday i Registered on bolt free, Registration on uber-3k
Started work on Tuesday day did Uber, came online but long distance pick up made like 10k gross from 8 to 3pm cos i had to rush back to do my other hustles.
On Wednesday (was not so good). It started great tho. I couldn't meet the welcome bonus on bolt( complete 5 trips and get 4k bonus). I made like 10k from 7 to 2pm den the nightmare. I took a trip to unilag close to yaba i got seriously scratched on my newly painted car. I felt angry and decided to close. Heading home from Unilag to attend to personal stuffs. I mistakenly took one way and got caught. I paid 5k
Thursday i went to ikorodu online trip showed 8.5k rider paid 11k out of pity. i almost cried due to bad road then did some airport ofline.
Friday i didn't work cos i discovered i drive back empty from where a trip ends to my house when its becoming 3pm to attend to my other hustles.
On Saturday and Sunday i made like 35k net did like 16 back to back trips from 7 to 7pm (i began to wonder how Felicity takes more than 300trips in a month)
CONS: I noticed i have back pain into and at the end of the day after driving long hours, i hear some noise on the drivers side car legs when turning the steering or if i enter a bad road and i don't know where its from. I've asked two kazzeem they said its normal and is caused by the rain and water but they need to greese some places on the legs another kazeem said its the ball joint. At this point i dunno what to believe.
Veterans in the house especially people in the ant's league please advise me. What am i not doing right 1 Like |

But see bolts reply, I don’t understand.
1. We would request you to always ensure that you collected the fare after the trip. ?
How? ..... i should fight rider, cause a scene or bring out my phone and record it
2. We would request you to wait for 7 days for the rider to make the payment and kindly let us know if the rider has not paid yet the outstanding fare in 7 days. ..... 7days ? I always forget to remind you in 7 days.

3.Not guilty. I think this is tactless, but one day I went to Balogun market. Omo, when I was done, my eyes were turning. I looked at the driver with swollen eyes and begged him to allow me to eat gala and chilled coke. He started laughing…You know the rest.
4. I do this sometimes. Most times I close those doors ehn, e no dey close well o. I go come open am again and …! Wahala go enter.

6. I always sit at the back now. Uber drivers were becoming too nice. One volunteered to show me around Lagos, another wanted to take me for dinner at Eko Hotel, another felt the traffic from VI to Lekki would have too much impact on my account, ended it and still completed the ride. My friends and I agreed I should be sitting at the back, maybe the problem is my “miniskirt/gowns”.
7. I don’t have a problem with low AC, na high one be my problem.

bad attitude is relative anyways, and I can only speak for myself. It starts from the manner of communication both on phone or through chatting. The phrase, "Oga, where are you" is red flag, endless waiting for a rider to come out, inputting the wrong pick up location and blaming it on me is a no no for me.
A rider booked me on Sunday in the evening, she put in a wrong pick up location, I got there, she said no no, that I should turn here, move there, fly here, crawl there... At a point, I got fed up and parked. She called and screamed where are you? I told her the street I was, she said Bleep off (the f word) and hung up, then cancelled.
Her request entered again with the right pick up this time, and I accepted it just to see who the Jezebel was, drove there parked some meters away her call came in, I spotted her immediately. She was very gentle this time "good evening sir, please where are you?" I have arrived, "but I can't see you". She later spotted me and walked up. She opened my door and said " wow, such a lovely car, but, why are you feeling all relaxed" I responded, am I? "Yes, oya, let's go" to where? She was already seated at the back(I don't have problem with any spot a rider sits) you said Bleep off the other time, "oh, you are the one?" Yes! "Why didn't you say your own back" cos I have manners. Pls, kindly step out of my car. She eventually left on an okada. So, these are what some of us see everyday especially, people like BAZ001 pocohantas:
What is bad attitude? Some drivers get triggered for something as basic as sitting behind or not talking to them.

Yes, drove to pickup just to see the 1* General. By the time I got there, I was watching to see signs of red flags, it was her children that she ordered for, 2 young girls, like 15 or 16 years old and two small kids. They were well mannered so respectful. We gisted about almost all topics till we got there. I asked about their mum, guess what? They said "she's hot tempered o!" The girls had sinister plans about their destination too. Told them mum was tracking me like an eagle on her app...pocohantas:

Good one. Big ups! BAZ001:
1 week on the job ? You doing well ooing. Hope you no resign job to come dis hustle.
Because of 1M ( I wake up 5am - 11am serious work, 12pm - 4pm light work , 4pm - 11pm die hard work) But without 1million target. Start work 8am play play and close after 10 trips or 20k no more driving till next day.
I wake up inside surge on the mainland and try to get trips to surge areas lekki phase 2 and from island surge I try to get a long trip to airport or anywhere on mainland, so I’m driving against traffic and on surge. Then I begin to do anywhere belle face, up and Dan like headless chicken.
1. Make sure you pray for favor and protection ( prayer is key ) sweet rides/ riders on surge with tips and good ratings and no Lastma/evil men 2. If you don’t live in surge areas, wake up early and set destination to Surulere/yaba or Ojodu Berger or lekki phase 2. ( I can’t drive without surge, too lazy to injure myself and low mileage Camry ) 3. When in surge areas begin to look out for trips on opposite direction. 4. Avoid Lastma and task force they can demoralize you and collect your hard earn money in few seconds. 4. Don’t follow every motivation and dashboards here some of them have been driving for more than 3years. ( even me still dey learn, 1yr plus)
Better to join ants league feeder team if you have the credentials, you will learn fast. But to join them Na like secret cult

CheerfulGiver: Time management is your problem. There is a difference between time and a clock. A clock is merely the measurement of time. Time has no beginning and no end. We train our bodies to do certain things at a particular moment. You rely on a clock, your body relies on what you teach it. Recommended sleeping hours is 7 hrs minimum. But there is no recommended sleeping time. You can sleep at anytime, but you always owe your body 7hrs a day.
Now, I'm not a robot. I basically use information well. I have a daily target of 30 - 35k daily. How do I meet my target and still sleep well? I was thinking about this 2 nights ago. We all have the same 24hrs. My management of that 24hrs will make me 1m. You also have yours. How do you manage yours? None of my business.
One Way I manage my time is by being selfish with it. It's why i don't socialize. Not that socializing is bad, but socializing cuts into my valuable time. Is my time consciousness better than socializing? Yes. I believe in hustle now, socialize later.
Sundays are my springboard days. I use Sundays to reset my body's internal clock. Sunday is the only day I exceed target in less time. If daily target is 30k a day, Sunday makes me 40k in less time. What that means is that I can be home by 6pm on Sunday's, except on days I go crazy, like the sunday I grossed 62k. I didn't need to, just wanted to. 6pm Sunday, I'm home. I can sleep by 9:30pm on Sunday and this guarantees my 4:30am wake up time on Monday morning. 5am, I'm on the streets. Starting early guarantees me meeting my target earlier, or by whatever. If I get home 12am, I leave home 8am. Whatever time I get home, I restrategize to make sure I don't owe more than 1 or 2 hours of sleep daily. Any day I make more than daily target, I repay my sleep before the next day.
That's me. So when you see me working everyday, I rest better than you because of my choices. I can relate with sleeping off and thinking you slept only two minutes. Happened in my early days about 3 times. Restrategizing has made sure it never happens again because I'm now more selfish and more conscious of my time.
For example, I have time today. My hub and shaft cups are being changed. You think I won't meet target of 140k in 3 days? Find out. 1 Like |
