Do you know mamy of the so called churches have deviated from truth?
.......relying on occultist power to sustain them..
Truth is truth. It has nothing to do with the Bible. Church and bible are inter-woven. So saying 'bible believing' is tautological just like saying Koran believing Mosque.

This is not enough reason to leave the church !!!

Giving is part of the ministry of Jesus. " For God so love the world that he gave ..."

So, our first motive behind every giving isn't for God to bless you - otherwise, you would get it wrong.

Our motive is to expand the works of Christ in the face of the earth which in turn would bring God's prosperous blessings on you.

The church system have produced more peaceable and lovable people than any other religion.

Think about a world without the church. What would this world be if Jesus never came ?

We would have a world of oppression and chaos.

See list of some circumstances people face when they refuse to give or criticize givings in church.

1. They are always broke
2. They always loose their jobs and never have a financial stable life
3. They struggle for a particular thing endlessly
4. They go from grace to grass
5. They are always clouded with messages of evil reports from family and friends.
6. They find it hard to get help from people
7. They are short circuited from God's guidance and direction.
8. They make quick decisions that leads to destruction.

Take a deep breath and ponder over your decision.

Note : Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is my Pastor, life coach and mentor etc.
So you mean to tell us, that those of you who doesn't see anything wrong with their pastors or give intermittently don't face your eight trials?

Good evening viewers! i have this issue has been bothering me, and i dont know if i can cope with it anymore particularly now we are making plans to settle down after my NYSC.

My man is too attached to his mum almost like an addiction. at first i was cool with it because his dad is late and i like guys that are close to their mums, but my man own is creepy and freaking me out. he calls his mum almost every hour, morning, afternoon, evening and even midnight calls.

One day his mum complained of headache, he almost left his office just to buy his mum drugs despite his mum telling him it's not serious, when i tried confronting him about this he told me that his mum is his soul and if his mum dies he would die along with her too, with all seriousness he told me this.

I've been very uncomfortable since that statement from him and it's making me have a rethink whether i can cope with him as a spouse.. please advice me..
My advice is correct it with your sons. Don't make them love only 'momma'.

That guy was so lucky he could have gotten himself killed I wonder why he had to run on an opened fire, he successful took down one of the robbers and could have taken the one that comes down from the vehicle and the driver was unarmed could hve been an easy take but the guy chickened out and choose to run in the line of fire. Thats why I love military men
Talking bunkers. In an enclosure and a guy already sprayed gun shots into it via the window before he foolishly came to confirm his kill only to meet his timely death. You still want a man, police or not to remain inside not knowing whether the others were coming over too? Moreover, you don't know his stockpile of ammunition could last him the next few seconds. It was a split second decision and I think the policeman perhaps took the most logical one.

I understand this but honestly this saying rings true "if it's important people will make time for it, if it's not people will make an excuse for it"

I have lived in the same neighbourhood WOTH single mother's and have cousins who are single mother's. They are there hundred percent for their children, birthdays, graduations, sleeping overnight in the hospitals while being sick, being their confidant when they're down etc while also PROVIDING for their needs ALONE.

If these father's want to make these memories and this connection with their children they will make the effort, but I guess they don't just care.
Very easy to see it from the woman's angle alone and pass judgement. Do you know how many women who are thorns in the flesh of which ever man that come their way? Or do you think all or most men love philandering for no just course? More men in marriages are there for the sake of their kids alone, not happiness or peace of mind. So cut some errant dads some slacks as those kids will grow up to see exactly what their fathers passed through in the hands of their mothers when they themselves get married.

megareal:
True. But some children simply abandon their father because of separation and divorce. A man goes on to marry another woman while the children are being singlehandedly raised by their mums, hence the abandonement.

For the intact homes, dictatorship and lack of care are the culprits. Some married women singlehandedly cater for their kids while staying under a roof with the supposed head of the house.
'Singlehandedly' you think, do you know the countless number of times the man would have given her money for the kids while they will never be in the know?

It's a lie. You can not beat another person's wife 'for no reason'. Must have taken some serious beating though but her countenance doesn't look like one of a peaceful woman. I don't support violence against anybody at that, hence the beater should be appropriately dismembered or given the option of harakiri. In this piece, beat, beaten and beating enter one chance.

Thistrendblog:
Top 5 Books By Wole Soyinka: The Tale, The Story and a Must Read.

Akinwande Oluwole Babatunde Soyinka is one of the most talented playwright and poet in Nigeria. Wole Soyinka books are read throughout the whole world. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1986. He is the first African laureate. His poetic overtones and cultural perspectives of his drama helped him to be recognized in the whole world. He is from Yoruba tribe, Nigeria. In this article, we gathered Top 5 books of Wole Soyinka you must read!

Wole Soyinka Books
Wole Soyinka is arguably the most famous African author. He is the best known as a playwright. His legacy is not only in his literary career. He is also a scientist, poet, novelist, and actor. He worked in various theaters in the Great Britain and Nigeria. Wole Soyinka writes in English. Still, his works are rooted to his motherland – Nigeria. Yoruba culture is the most related to him.

He included Yoruba traditions, tales, legends and myths in his works. Alas, as any modern writer, he also influenced by the modern tendencies. He is considered as a proponent of Democracy in Nigeria.

He criticized non-democratic and even authoritarian tendencies of Nigeria leaders in his books.

Wole Soyinka introduced the culture of Nigeria to the whole world. We should all read these books one of our greatest compatriots. Here are the Top 5 Wole Soyinka books you should read!

1. The Lion and the Jewel
It`s one of the books by Prof Wole Soyinka that you should read. It was performed for the first time at the Ibadan Arts Theatre in 1959. The comedy is set in the remote village of Ilujinle. There are three main characters in the play.

The first character is Baroka. He is a village chief and a tyrant who only wants to have his own way. He detests Western ideas as he believes that they oppose his rule.

The second character is Lakunle. He is a naive schoolteacher that has come to the village. His heart is filled with hopes and dreams for the future. He blindly accepts Western ideas without a complete understanding of them.

The third character is Sidi. She is a gorgeous woman that has to choose whom to marry. Baroka and Lakunle are so different! They both have something to offer and they both want to marry the damsel.

Though the characters are exaggerated, they represent a clear confrontation between two entirely different ideas. Both of them are neither good nor evil. Both have their good and bad sides. In the center of this is a woman, who needs to choose who she should spend her life with. The adversarial relationships between the two antagonists create comedic situations in the play. This makes readers read the book till the end to find out who will conquer Sidi`s heart.

2. The Trials of Brother Jero
This book follows a simple day in the life of the self-proclaimed prophet Jero. He is a person who wants to show he's cunning and wise to all people but fails to do that. The Brother Jero is a clear satire to all false prophets created in today`s Nigeria. In the very first monologue, the false prophet reveals that he is chosen by God to lead. He also explains his vision of the prophet hood as a “trade”. If people want to be close to God, then they should trade for His love with the Brother Jero.

Other two main heroes of the play are Chume and Amope. Chume is a follower of Brother Jero. He is also a messenger from the government. Amope is his wife.

She wants to receive money from Brother Jero, which he owes her. She is also a very ill-tempered woman who continually drives her man crazy. The strange collision between three of them will lead to a very sad end.

This is one of Wole Soyinka books that heavily criticizes not only the religion but also gender stereotypes. The prophet in the book is a composite character of today`s religion situation in the country. It also shows how this kind of people may trick others. The false prophet of God may play a bad joke with followers and there is no government to stop him.

3. Madmen and Specialists
Books from Wole Soyinka describe not only problems of Nigerian society, but also the general principles of right and wrong. Madmen and Specialists is one of those books. It describes a confrontation between the forces of good and evil.

What is good according to Wole Soyinka?
Good is represented by kindness, humanism, creativity, and altruism. What is evil then? It`s a complete opposite. The sadistic, destructive, selfish and reductionist nature of evil which does not assure a good outcome.

In the book, you can find two supernatural characters. They are called the Earth Mothers – Iya Mate and Iya Agba. They create a certain order which rules in the universe. The antagonist of the book is Bero. He claims to destroy the natural order and create chaos. Bero represents the chaos of the book. He is a simple force of madness.

Wole Soyinka creates the Old Man, who opposes to Bero. The Old Man is filled with wisdom of Socrates. The Old Man destroys the ranks of Bero with only his mind. He provides the philosophy that can`t stand Bero`s ideas. As a good character in the book, the Old Man believes that Bero can also find a path to the salvation.

The book shows confrontation of good and evil, chaos and cosmos, order and disorder. Still, good always wins and evil can always find its path to the salvation.

4. The Strong Breed
It`s a story about Emen, a man who lives in a strange village and has to make the ultimate sacrifice to save it. It`s a tragedy where a person has to make a choice between life and the common benefits. The main protagonist shares common parallels with the story of Jesus Christ.

The set of the play has deep Yoruba culture. Wole Soyinka describes the Yoruba`s New Year ritual. During this festival, Yoruba sacrifice a carrier. Eman represents all victims of the so-called carrier.

Death plays a significant role in the play. It represents a crucial point of struggle between personal and public. Emon is brought to readers as a person; he is nota Holy being. Still, he is not the first victim of this cruel ritual. His father was also sacrificed for this common goal.

Wole Soyinka questions a repressive ideology which regulates this ritual. In this play, ideology plays a bridge between imaginary and real. The ideology and real world have its own relationship. People want to enter the imaginary world and they follow ideology to do that. What happens when ideology is wrong? If it lets individuals make sacrifices for nothing? Wole Soyinka tries to show you answers through the prism of Yoruba society.

5. The Beautification of Area Boy
That`s one of the recent books of Wole Soyinka. In this story, he portrays a life of the street urchins or “area boys”. The plot of the play is set in Lagos, Nigeria. The main personages of this play show how they face the everyday struggles and challenges.

Sanda is a university drop out. His wit helped made him a student but life forced him to dropout. He is a leader of a syndicate. Sanda works as a security guard in a shopping mall where he finds potential victims. Wole Soyinka portrays Sanda as the Nigerian version of Robin Hood. The character is a criminal but he is also a product of military oppressive rule.

The second character is Miseyi. She once studied at the same University as Sanda. Still, her quick judgment condemns any relationship between the two. Alas, when she starts to know him better – it becomes a new love story.

Another main character of the play is Judge. Through his deeds, we find Wole Soyinka`s philosophy of this play. Sometimes justice can be provided not through the laws but the merciful deeds.

Family › Re: Females In Nigeria (F.I.N) Facebook Member, Nags Husband To Death by Ifebazz(m): 5:44pm On May 16, 2017
ebusfav:
A member of 'Females in Nigeria' group on Facebook, which Charity Aiyedogbon a.k.a Chacha belonged to before she went missing, reportedly nagged her husband of 9 years to death. According to Facebook user, Azubuike Chinenye, the lady's late husband who was pushed into having a girlfriend outside his marriage, reportedly died of cardiac arrest because his wife 'won't give him peace at home.'

Here's the emotional post she wrote;

"So today I received double bad news. I am so down. I have been crying and begging God to remove this guilt. I will write about the particular one eating me up.
I met him some years ago. Such a nice man. Friendly. Free spirited. Quiet. And a good father. He came to me for advise about his marriage. He's far older than me and I respected him for meeting a small girl like me to advise him about his marriage.

He has been married for 9 years and in this 9yrs he doesn't know the meaning of peace. He hates polygamy and wants to raise his kids under one roof. His wife wasn't his first love. He visited his father and his family introduced her to him as his wife. He refused telling them he has someone already and he's waiting for her to be done with her masters. Long story short, he visited again, she was in the house, she served him his meal, he was drowsy, he managed to bath and slept off. He woke up the following day and felt uneasy like someone had sex with him.

After some months, he noticed he kept visiting home and started developing love for this girl. He tried resisting the temptation and told his love he wanted to get married, that since she's done with her masters, she should return and let him do something. She refused that she wants to stay back and do her PhD. He kept persisting until the girl broke the news that she's pregnant.

Years later, he helped her get a job, told her not to disturb spending her money in the house since he's wealthy. Unfortunately she became something else. No respect. No love. No care. Always shouting, any little thing is quarrel, today he's a fool next day he's a weakling. He's an educated man at least a PhD holder and he managed his home well, there's nothing like authority or "I'm the head", " be submissive ". He made his home a friendly place.

She became a nag, he kept enduring. Several times he reported her to her family yet she won't change. She started abusing him, became violent, killing his emotions. He has sat her down several times asking what the problem is, sometimes it is her car which he must change and he obeyed yet no peace. Another time, her phone yet no peace. Later, she needs vacation to different countries yet no peace.

Jhoy, I met a young girl at the airport when my flight was delayed. Her battery was down and she used my phone to call her brother who was to pick her up from the airport. We discussed the economy meltdown, boarded, landed and that was it. In the evening, she called to thank me for the benevolence and from then, she sends me happy new month messages and goodwill texts. I finally picked up courage to call her on her birthday that's 9 months after meeting, sadly she was hospitalized due to appendectomy. I was worried and still kept in touch. Madam, finally we started dating. Its been 2years and this girl gives me peace of mind. She respects me. Gives me business ideas which helped boost my career. She's everything I want in a woman but I'm married.

After much advise, I concluded by telling him that I don't support adultery. Try and fix your home. No woman wakes up to be abnormal towards her husband if something didn't trigger it. Please take her on a date and ask her where you've gone wrong. I pray she talks but keep me posted. He agreed.

A week later he gave a feedback that she finally opened up and said, her mother advised her to be firm so that he will have fear for her and not misbehave. I laughed through out the date and assured her that I am not that kind of man. I told her the best way to win my heart is giving me peace. I want a lovely home. A peaceful home and I promised not to give her any reason to to feel insecure. Now, how do I tell this other girl that my wife is a new person. I told him, just tell her the truth. From all you've said that girl sounds like a good person.

After a long time, he sent a chat telling me how she hasn't changed and they had a minor misunderstanding because he put the nanny's name on their business class trip to Dubai, that he should fix her younger sister not the nanny. He refused that it will be unfair of him and before he will start his car, she used her kitchen pestle to destroy my windscreen. I have been in a hotel for two days just to clear my head. I even miss my kids badly. I begged him to calm down and pray. I went ahead to request for her Facebook handle which he gave. I monitored her page and found out she's a FIN member. Well, I told him to use prayers and help his wife. He still complained about her late nights and frivolous lifestyle. In his words, Jhoy I'm sorry I have to call my girlfriend. She gives me peace.

Last month, I met with his wife at an event and she came to congratulate me for being a strong woman. In her words, well its because you're not firm. My husband can't even try such with me. If he says one, I have said ten. I laughed and said, then your home is a battle field because your husband might be lacking peace. She said, who cares? No man can control me oh... If you're hard, they will fear you and do nothing. I smiled, I hugged her and said, whatever rocks your boat I wish you the best.

I finally met her husband and he came with his girlfriend. She's such a beautiful and intelligent woman. I almost gave them my blessings. I still preached against adultery and encouraged him to work on his home but I still supported him and said, no matter what do what makes you happy. Any home that lacks peace isn't a home.

This night his girlfriend called to break the news that he's dead. He died of cardiac arrest. How? His wife asked him to allow her organise a children's day picnic where she'll invite her friends and he said no problem remind me on Wednesday. She seized his keys and demanded he writes a check immediately. He insisted giving her on Wednesday and walked out to share with the kids in their car. On their way he complained of not being able to breathe. He was rushed to the hospital where he died and the driver called his girlfriend first where she was able to kiss him final goodbye.

I have been crying. I feel bad. Why didn't I advise him to divorce. Why didn't I tell him to marry his girlfriend. Why do I feel like his ghost is behind me. God please make him wake up. He's too nice to die. Someone please wake me. Wake meeeee. God give him another chance. Allow me advise him to cheat. He only married a bad wife. He doesn't deserve death.

Friends please I need your support and prayers. This news is too much to bear. God please.
Mr. ....... I am sorry ........... I am sorry....."

HerPov:
I don't know what's wrong with me, everytime I feel insecure in the relationship or he does something to piss me off, I end the relationship. At that moment I'm overwhelmed with anger and he has a way of blanking me when we argue and because I can't release the anger, I quit the relationship.
I really do love him. He is my dream man, I approached him and introduced myself and we just fit. Except my "It's over" drama every month.
I finish with him every month (when I come on my period, I can't control my emotions). He said he can't take me seriously and if I broke up with him again he won't take me back and I broke up with him last week for the 5th time lipsrsealed

What's wrong with me? Do other women feel like this? Men what would you do in his situation?
I would graciously dump your unstable emotional arse.

Family › Re: Why Do Many Married Men Cheat On Their Wives? by Ifebazz(m): 2:20pm On May 02, 2017
SmellingAnus:
Most likely, there are still some faithful men but my experiences with two married pals of mine in less than one week brought about this topic..

The first pal, is a business Man that is not doing badly, he has at least two kids that I know of all attending the so called expensive schools... He is from the East, an elder in the Church and we were having some business related conversation when somehow our discussions went into the arena of women.. lol... I told him some of my experiences and he also told me how he almost sent his wife packing for losing 4 million naira in two different ponzi schemes namely donation hub and earnfifty... He then told me about an Akwa-Ibom girl that he came across and made love to and ever since he has been praying to God to help him leave her but instead he is getting deeper into her....

This Man has a very beautiful wife with light skin but he confessed to me how the Akwa-Ibom babe is very sweet and neat... Infact he talked about going home to sleep and snore each time he has his routine sexual exercise with her which invariably means that he may not eat and most likely not touch his wife. When his wife complains of his strange lifestyle, he blames it on working too hard in his office of which he is the Boss...
Simply because they expected their wives to remain the same.
What surprised me most as we were discussing in his office was that , he said he will not lie to me, that if the Akwa-Ibom babe calls him now, he will leave what he is doing to go and meet her... Within me, I was scared for so many reasons knowing fully well that I am still single and will not want that kind of life but the greater fear was that is possible that this man never planned for this type of life but he somehow found himself with a strange woman....

My second encounter was yesterday night with another Pal who is younger than the Man from the East... This one is from the West, his wife is in the West with their Kid while he is in Port Harcourt... This particular one is not necessarily as successful as the other man but he mentors people in business/investment related affairs... He is the kind of guy you could call to talk to your staff on how they could perform better (Business Consultant). In the course of our conversation, I found out that he is actually waiting for one small girl that lives in my neighborhood that just finished secondary school in FGGC Okigwe I suppose....

While I learnt some things from him, I also told him about the importance of starving his distractions and feeding his focus and we both agreed that women are major distractions.. he told me , he discovered that spends more on accommodating women in hotels for days just to have a sexually nice time....

I'm conclusion I ask, why do many married Men cheat on their wives, how can we help our future/current wives to help us not to cheat on them? What are those things married need that will make them not to cheat on their wives ? (Note: not al married cheat)..

Nobody seems to see a thing wrong with d pope gulping bear, world is really crazy, why then do y'all blame other pastors for adultry, DAT should be cool too na. Alryt, gay is good, says d pope. Zombie people.
Open your eyes. Gaze and see beyond your nose for once. That grey matter inside your skull is not only for recording what one pastor said, it can be used to deduce facts from fiction. How many books do you think can be used to write about your life history from birth till date? Just be honest with yourself.

he said so because Timothy had stomach problems...do u have stomach problems...have u read where it is said that wine is a mocker,.and beer should be given to fools?...
have u read again where it said be ye not filled with wine but with the holy spirit?

Not nearly enough at all. Reading the bible and in fact any book at that literally is half witty. You meant the statement was ascribed to Timothy alone right? Therefore everyone with stomach disorders should take wine by your reasoning then. God made every thing bright and beautiful, wise and wonderful including the wines. Only attention seeking idiots calling themselves 'men of god' would tell you otherwise. Wine is a mocker and beer to the fools right? How many kings do you know that do not drink or have lots of wine? Or are kings fools too? Even the food you eat should have gauge not to talk of wine. So leave peasant talks to peasants.

Ehen? Before nko? No be today dem don dey drink beer come na...though secretly.
Point of corrections, never been a secret. If it were a sin, maybe they'd be hiding it but why should alcohol be taken in secret except by hypocritical 'men of god'?
