I beg to differ with your position. However correct me if am wrong. During my uber days, most times I'll already be on a trip before remembering I haven't started the trip. Now the moment I click on start trip, the app would ask if I want to start the trip from pick up location even after I have driven from pickup location.

Bolt app is the reference bro not Uber..

Please I need you guys insights, sometimes whenever I try to shift my gear, it stiffens a little and make a sound, if I’m on a plane surface, it does shift with no sound atall.
So today my mecho drove the car and he was like he has told me countless times that I need to change my transmission oil for servicing, he said it’s getting dried up that’s why it make sounds or get stiffens sometimes.
So my question is, is it true?
How much is the transmission oil for the gear.

Guy don't joke with your transmission at all....the price in the market is not funny....

If the oil is drying up like your mecho said, it's something you can confirm your self....check the dip stick after warming the car and changing from all the gears to drive and back to park....if the oil is black, short or smell burnt....get the original recommended Toyota gear oil and change the oil....

Ensure gear oil change is carried out early in the morning after the car has been left to park at that spot over night........meaning....if the oil change will be done at the mechanic shop....park their the night before and let him do it first thing in the morning without the car getting hot, and if it's your place, same applies....(I learnt the last part just recently at a huge cost, the cost being getting a new transmission for one of my cars)

If you are parking till 5pm....them it's not 12-5pm.

My driver just collected #200 for toll gate from me, let me see if he remove it from the cash i will pay him... You guys are doing a good a job..

If it's toll gate at airport.....it will be added with the trip without giving breakdown, which is bad on the part of bolt ..before they give the breakdown and now they don't again.....kindly remove the 200 from your final fare....if he says otherwise tell the driver to go settle it with bolt...I will add the screenshot from such incidence, as I wrote them recently.

This thread is fast becoming toxic...can't people argue fact without throwing tantrum to certain individual, because he is a high earner....

The issue of paid waiting is very simple to manage, even after you book a ride, and the driver swipes arrive, bolt will inform you about paid waiting, but as we no like to dey read things for this country, it gives room for dubious drivers to exploit and all things been equal if a prospective rider books a ride when he/she is ready paid waiting won't even go beyond 5min, as it will take 5min after driver slides arrive for it to count, if I book a ride and driver slides arrive and I can't find you anywhere in the next 3min, I will call and cancel immediately...if most riders do this that will tighten the loopholes and we all know most of the time Nigerians order rides to wait for them even when they are not half ready.

The issue of not starting a ride at a pick up point, it's the driver that will loose out, he will only end up undermining his earnings....

If any rider thinks he/she is cheated, bolt customer service is always there to enact their rules and punishment....

But we need to stop robbing things on people because they break grounds you can't break....

The trick don cast tho, doesn't work anymore....a lot of driver used it to Cashout when it was in full flow...Bolt blocked most of em and stopped it.

If alot of people learn about the "yahoo" part of bolt, they'll buy their own cars in 6 months. Uber doesn't give 2 fvcks about u, shit doesn't work on their platform.

But then, it still boils down to the fact that, even without starting the trip from point A-B you'll still get the estimated fare minus the time spent on the trip.

Yes, but not if you start half way...if you had started that trip half way....the actual km covered will have applied, as the app will assume that point you started as your new pick up point ... starting at the end point only passes one message to the app, that you forgot to start the trip.....so the actual km will be effected but time spent will not be commensurate....mostly less than 2min since you at the destination already.

2. Felicity perspective comes to play here, and it proofs that it will only count when you forget to start a trip and starts at the end point, what you will get is just the estimated km fare and the time frame, but if you start half way, it will only consider the km covered and time spent....

I think Felicity001 is right, took a lady to the mmia, she was in a hurry as her dad forgot his passport at home, we got there ended the trip fare was 1100, she asked i take her back, told her to re-order as I was chasing a bonus, I accepted and zoomed off, didn't even swipe arrived, got to her destination, opened my phone to see that I hadn't started the trip, I arrived and started trip, ended immediately, and fare was 1k. So it's quite possible felicity is right.

What you got was base fare + paid waiting.....Felicity illustration is wrong

That shows that bolt is in the best position to answer, rather than create a negative vibe towards drivers.. some drivers are guilty of sliding arrive even when far, but it can be all, especially using your example as case study....

They arrive normal normal, rider comes in maybe after 10min

They bring up a discussion to distract the passenger so they don't notice weather they're starting the ride or not.

Half way into the ride
D: oh I forgot to start the ride
R: oh, sorry hope this won't affect you money

The way bolt is program is irrespective of where you start the ride it will still calculate the exact km estimated for the trip

but now the paid wait time would have shoot the trip fare higher than estimated.

End of trip, rider won't even want to argue the price again even if it exceeds the estimated price because they must have been thinking in their minds they where short charged since trip started half way not knowing baba has played a fast one on them.

Rider will still tip driver and still give him 5star rating believing he's a good person but actually driver is an inkapy rat (the rat with the long mouth)

Felicity, I beg to differ with that part I highlighted, bolt don't calculate the estimated km, they calculate the actual kilometer covered... Judging from your postulate, are you saying if a driver picks someone at point A going to point B and the rider introduced a point C and D, before arriving to point B, the app will only calculate the estimated km for point A to Point B ?, False..... Bolt app calculate the actual km covered, any idiot driver that starts a trips minutes after picking up a rider is only undermining his earnings, if he thinks he is beefing up paid waiting, as the trip km covered only starts when he starts the ride.

I don't support fraud and cheating, but some of this rider won't come out clean on how they delayed the driver as well.

This idea will be better started in January not this time of the year where a lot of people have already engage themselves with ine or two groups and have a lot of expenses and debt to pay off. The year is already coming to a close.

Planning can start by December with like 6 people that own their own car(s), these people must all appear physically to ballot, show evidence that car belongs to them, must have a good stream line of income, must be a popular figure in this forum, and other conditions as well.

If these 6 people contribute 25k or 30k weekly then end of month 1 person collects within 6months the cycle has gone round, in a year it goes round twice making a huge savings of At least 1.2m.

I look forward to having a good team to have this done.

Should anyone has one he/she belongs to that needs a new member should be let me know

If you don't know how to get it. Why not ask, and people will show you how it's been done.

1. Accept all trips, you don't have to complete all.

2. If it's a trip you won't embark on, call the rider to inform him or her and give a reasonable reason (my line is : good afternoon ma/sir, sorry I brought someone to this area and he will like me to take him back, kindly cancel and reorder sir, it works most of the time: then I proceed to go offline so that the prospective rider can reorder and get another pairing.... If that don't work and the rider insist you cancel, inform him/her that u can only cancel after 3 min, slide the arrive button and wait till the passengers number is not available count down.

To get any campaign you must try not to miss more than one order or cancel more than one order and you will be good.

U were at the wrong places....check the driver app drive to the nearest areas with surge and you will be glad you did....I did 6 back2back trips ... I just parked my car now, as I will be taking the next train to ibadan.


For example instead of staying in adeniyi Jones drive down to omole close to ojodu Berger....it's not up to 4km....but you can get a long trip with surge that will compensate the less than 500 fuel used to reposition.

This 0% commission campaign from bolt is fraud. I did more than 8 trips 2 days ago, the 0% commission wasn't applied. Yesterday the same thing....no 0% commission for over 14 trips. I sent them a mail and they are telling me to send screenshot of the campaign. How do I get screenshot of that?

I told them to be true and sincere to drivers cos we risk our life to earn and make them(bolt) earn in return.

That campaign na big time fraud!
