OP,the more you post about the past, the more u come across as stvpid(im sorry oh).Why wud u take a quarter of what u claimed she did?is her kini scent curry or what?

You are a man,act and be the man in your marriage always.Nobody should tolerate poo all in the name of 'staying maried'.There are mistakes and those ones can be easily forgiven or ignored but when your partner begins to disrespect you, starts dumping shyte on ya head with no iota of fear or respect, you would be highly sillly if u don't "treat and cure" the fvck up once and for all.Come on now! I can't begin to imagine the kraze or whatever that wud make me call an ex "dear or darlyn" by 2 am,not to talk of dates after work and vice versa.

Kpele oh.take all the good advies you've been offered here,do some soul searching and reflect on ya mistakes. There are still good women out there, get your priorities right and don't be carried away by superficial stuffs.

Better luck next time.

Zayhal,Salams.
For a child,I believe water, breastmilk and burping works. But our mothers used pieces of thread.

For me as an adult, when i can't get water instantly i use thread and it works for me.or maybe its just my mindset, dunno.
Family › Re: Should A Child Of 10years Be Allowed To Choose Cloths Herself? by ifyalways(f): 10:30am On Jan 14, 2012
Our society and especially mothers have lost it.The other day I went to some school end of year get together and what the kids were wearing were . . .

How can we explain 7 year old girls fixing weave ons, wearing lipstick eyeliner marykay etal?Reason is Not far fetched though:a reflection of the mother's dress/fashion sense.Check out the so-called married women's dressing,You'd think they are showing all that flesh in a last desperate attempt to hook a man.

@OP,you've got to be cruel to be kind.Let the child pick clothes during shopping,go through her choice, pick out every item and explain to her why its appropriate or not for her.Your explanations should include our weather, the disadvantages of showing too much flesh, comfort and fitting etc.

Dependsing on your relationship with the mom,you can also discuss this with her laterz.

Family › Re: Will You Buy A Toy Gun For Your Child? by ifyalways(f): 10:09am On Jan 14, 2012
This argument has lots of twists and can take on a whole lot of dimensions. . .
Does it make any sense banning toy guns for our sons but having a real gun and perharps with our sons knowledge?
Do our sons play gun battle games, watch lots of action movies?
Is there any statistics to prove that a % of armed thieves, assasins had toy guns as toddlers?

As a mother of boys,I was of the opinion that Toy guns were Not acceptable but guess what?my husband made me understand that it does not stop there.Just like the girls need sex talk, the boys need to be told the pros and cons of having, touching or facing a gun. They need to be told ! And once they are of age, they'd be going hunting with hunting rifles with their dad.

So OP,back to ur question,Toy guns as a gift is NOT accepted in my house.

I wanted to take you serious till i read you asking if you should spill the name of your ex-wife's boyfriend who according to you is a london based nlder.OK,what was that suppossed to add to your 'breaking news' ?how wud that help restore(if ever possible) your marriage?

Ngwanu go ahead and spill. Here's been kinda boring. You wanna spice up NLd yet u couldnt spice up ya marriage?Gimme tori.

Seriously,if all u typed here is true then you guys have no biz staying together.and just to know, since the seperation, have ur (ex) wife made any moves for reconcilation or she's somewhere breathing "Phew! Fresh air at long last" ?

Culture › Re: Nigerian Grammar & Us - A Clear And Present Danger by ifyalways(f): 9:34pm On Jan 13, 2012
OP,You lost it when u mixed up two entirely different notions. The ability to flow fluently in English or Pidgin should not and cannot hinder ones grasp of the other.
The trend today however especially for the youths is to use pidgin to hide their deficiencies in proper English. Then talk abt the sillly and highly annoying text/shorthand style of writing,I just cant understand that one.Go to the romance section, you can't make anything from what they are typing.

We all make mistakes, moreso when the language is s foreign one and for the radio presenters,it might be that the presenter is under stress, not well prepared or they just have no business working in the media industry.

Btw,OP,what is the way forward?Do you have a proposal ready?Do you think there's a need for everybody to be fluent in English lang.?

I don't understand your rants on WAZOBIA fm.They have a targeted audience and can't be faulted if everyone includin Harvard graduates decides on tuning in.
Family › Re: "Family"- What Does This Word Mean To You? by ifyalways(f): 8:53pm On Jan 13, 2012
Nuclear family=Topmost priority, after God na dem.

Extended family(mine,in laws, uncles, aunts, cousins etc)=love them all equally.Would always be there for them and vice versa.

Close friends=Extension of extended family.sink or sail, boundaries exist but we are closely knit.

Politics › Re: Fg Agrees To N65 by ifyalways(f): 10:26am On Jan 13, 2012
I'm seeing this as a win-win situation for the govt.hmmn

Somehow, tomorrow, labour would agree on 'revert to N65' first and bla bla which we all know what it means for the common man. . .suffering continues.

I think the best we can get is to have the subsidy removal in phases and start off with say N80/100 and discard the "revert to N65" poo.

What happens to all the group ie SNG,Occupy Nigeria etc If and when NLC,TUC goes into ceasefire, calls of the strike?wud they continue the protest/strike?lolz

This should be a lesson for both parties.FG did not plan the subsidy removal well, the "sincere" protesters were also in a haste to jump to the streets without doing all the homework, making themselves unique and stating with 1 voice what they are agitating for.

As it stands now,NLC,TUC and FG are the Victors, the ordinary Nigerians who screamed themselves hoarse under the sun Victims.

Perx, while we wait for the Nationwide strike to be called off,can you send us a mail to nairalandcharity@gmail.com.The mail should contain:
Your location in Edo state ie City, not neccessarily address yet.and contact phone number.

A list of your little but important immediate needs.

If available, copies of your doctors reports,x-rays,photos,medical history etc.

We'd be needing the last items(medical reports etc) for the emails we'd be sending out pending when we'd visit you and agree on when and how to start the physical campaign.

Stay strong.

yamakuza:
actually, after my initial calculation, i was of the personal opinion that N100k from us would act as palliative even if we cannot subsidize the huge budget.

Since our able Nairalanders have refused to agree with my subtle suggestions to call things off, i guess we need to ask her what her immediate pressing needs are.

- someone initially mentioned internet access

- theres also N10k monthly for meds x 3 to 6 months while we organize

- she also needs immediate orthopedic treatment for a broken leg

- any other suggestions?
I'm cool with your suggestions, providing internet access plus the monthly meds but the question is,should we do that before or after visiting her ?

All the same,we have to wait for the other members to come on board.

Abeg oh,the attacking of kpekus is ten much. This man is just busy attacking me every and any how. He'd say eat and rest, you've been working too hard and lawd, his definition of rest is "Kpekus".

I can boldly stand head to head with Enyeama after the strike as they've turned me to the goalkeeper of the century. They do footie everyday and i have been manning the post.

Perfect time for site inspections, visiting and carefully examining lands we have interest on and exploring lagos,in the evenings. No traffic, few egunge police on the highway, just speed on!

Making and eating more amala.Visiting family, friends and neighbours.

Having and enjoying so much of "ME" time.

More and more Kpekus!
