Politics › Re: Subsidy Removal: Nigerians Made A Mistake Not Electing Buhari – El-Rufai by ifyalways(f): 8:31am On Jan 08, 2012
First off, fuel subsidy is the ONLY freebie or share of national cake that an average Nigerian gets to enjoy.

Removal of the subsidy is OK but the way it was handled was faulty and made the govt. appear mean and insensitive to the plight of the common man.

They govt should have started the removal in bits as opposed to their overnight full subsidy removal.
There were no public enlightments, the masses were just caught unawares.(Meanwhile they'd spend billions and months on electioneering campaign and adverts)
No improvement in other basic structures that affects the poor man's life.THE POWER sector should have been shaken and atleast 80% improvement in power supply BEFORE the subsidy is removed.Folks can't reconcile paying high bus fares, dealing with NO light daily and buying 600N worth of fuel each nite for a small gen, high cost of foodstuffs and then the BOKO issue.

Simply put,the removal of the fuel subsidy NOW=trying to save a pot of soup when the whole house is on fire.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

I believe that without our constant comedy, our ability to shine and laugh through our tough situations and living conditions, average life expectancy would have dropped to 20 years.

Romance › Re: Having A Baby For A Married Man by ifyalways(f): 5:25am On Jan 08, 2012
How do people have babies these days?Meet, start shaaging without any form of protection, have a baby then what huh

No care or concern for the partners background?what if they are shaaging a ghost ? o ma se oh.

Btw,OP,did your friend and the married man agree on having a baby together or she found herself pregnant and decided to keep it in a bid to get the man for keeps?

Anyhoo, done is done. She better start loving the child or give him/her up for adoption.abi she's considering telling the man's wife ? The most she can get is making the wife leave the man(highly unlikely tho) but it won't make the man marry her.

It's only in NLD i hear single mom's referred to as "tokumbo".In the real world, bold, beautiful and focused single moms are giving their counterparts a run, getting the good guys for keeps.
Family › Re: What Advice Were You Given As You Wedded And How Have They Helped Your Marriage? by ifyalways(f): 4:51am On Jan 08, 2012
Your new family(husband and kids) comes first, never let no friend or foe occupy that topmost priority, consider them before any decision or action.(my mom)

Your husband is your new baby, father, brother and son.Take good care of him.(From my dad)

Never use seex or food as weapon. No matter what he's done,as long as u are still with him, under same roof, give him both(mom)

Never discuss your marital problem with a third party, sort it out yourseleves BUT if it happens you wanna indulge anyone, your momma is the best! (my mom)

Choose your battles wisely.some things are better left ignored.(dad)

@OP,what really do you want from NLDers? To rent a house for you, encourage you, insult your aunt or huh

Get off the net, hustle hard and clean and help your family.
You guys can start off with a decent mini flat or a bungalow @ low cost places like Obigho,Ogbunabali etc.

Self pity does not help anyone,I've seen people(male and female) leave home after sec. school for hustling.Manna stopped falling from heaven with the death of Moses

Chairman, maybe we should create a new thread, linked to this one ofcourse and ask NLDers to present cases of people they see, know or heard of that are in bad situations and need help.Seems we are gonna wait forever to get the next case to handle if we continue this way.

To the person asking got the translation of cobweb, its onya uko.

Odumchi,I think you mixed up your translations of woman and female.IMO,woman=nwanyi,Female=iyom.We have to put in mind that its not just about humans but also covers non living stuffs. How wud u translate "female snake"?nwanyi agwo or iyom agwo ?
Mother is Nne,not all women are mothers hence I find that translation 'Nne for nwanyi' not correct.

Physics,Onichans use "Iyaselle" and not "Iyaasere" as you pointed out the Bini's do.Unfortunately,I don't even know the origin or what it means.

Ezeogu stop twisting words biko.what is "agbor nwanyi" ?
Every nwanyi(woman) was once an agbor(ghobia) ie girl.

Mbatuku, from all you listed and claimed Onichans use,I know for sure that 2 are true;Ogede(for plantain) eg ukpo ogede a delicacy and Ogbe eg Ogbe otu,Ogbe abo but please Onichans DON'T use your "Ofigbo" for oil.Its either mmanu nni(nri) for red oil or mmanu opupa for groundnut oil. Then what da heck is "Idumu" huh

Family › Re: Why Should A Woman Accept Adultery From Her Husband And Vice Versa? by ifyalways(f): 8:00pm On Jan 05, 2012
I have ideas:
They saw their daddies cheat under their mom's noses consistently.Their moms accepted that, drummed it into their ears and brains that men would always cheat and women are meant to take it in good faith. . .so long he pays the bills and comes home each day(or forthnightly)

They dated and married unrepentant cheats. He never hid it,the woman is just desperate to marry.

The woman is a parasite and huge liability.she brings in nothing, depends solely on the man for any and every thing. She's stuck in there and would gladly accept/endure,warts and all. . .so long as he keeps providing for her(and kids).

The preacher tells the woman that divorce or seperation is a capital sin.Your man cheats cos you don't pray enough, you don't make the house homely enough for him,you nag and you don't listen when he talks.Stay there, pray harder, bind the spirit of the flesh and lust and someday oneday,God would touch his heart to change.
Family › Re: I Have Fallen Out Of Love: What To Do? by ifyalways(f): 7:44pm On Jan 05, 2012
Love is not all there is to marriage,I'd keep saying this. When the love waxes cold, the bosoms drop and fly,the blokos shrivel and it takes alot more work to get 'it' nod. . .other things like mutually shared interests/hobbies,great communicating, maturity are the ingredients that wud help one to hold on,swim through the tides and still come out fine, together as one.

@OP,i'd say give it a shot one more time.We all fall in and out of love sometimes but at the end of the day,we look at our partners eyes and see reasons to stay put.
If however you think you've done it all, tried it all and still feel its NOT worth it then goodluck with your "walking away" plans.

^Her GF is 40 and single.A financially unstable single father of 2 wants to marry her.Their church pastor says him(or God) does not believe the man is the lady's Godsent husband hence she should not marry the man.

@Topic,what does your friend want, she 'desires' to marry or is comfortable with her single life?

Is your friend working,considerably comfortable?

You said the man is 'working hard to rise again',what precisely is he doing?self employed, biz or hes an employee somewhere?

Aside finances,is the man OK for your friend?they relate and bond well?

How is the relationship btw your friend and the man's kids?

Have your friend prayed alone, seeked for Gods face and answer?
