Lagosboy: Salaams Ify
I understand what you mean when you say its still difficult acceptin some things. Everything in life is gradual and some thinks take time. Inshallah the good Lord would make the practice of islaam easy for you like he did for the companions of the the prophet PBUH. You have done well indeed and the love of God for you is enormous so keep up the good work. Hope you have finished that book now?
You have to pass me some goodies of Hajj o and leave some isiewu chop for lagosboy as well o I wud get there soonest cos "Radeetu billahi Rabban,wa bil Islami denenan,wa bi Muhammadin(PBUH) Nabiyyan" I have lots of books now, videos, digital Koran et all all courtesy of the Hajj.Expect urs when AR gets back. azharuddin: @Ify Lagosboy is right, be patient. But dont decrease your determination. Perseverance is very important keep on trying and never loose hope in Allah.
Allah says, “Take one step towards me, I will take ten steps towards you. Walk towards me, I will run towards you.” -Hadith Qudsi
More we try to be close with Allah, the more Allah likes us. Thank u.Jazaakallahum Khairan. |

mikeansy: This was always where this guy should have started his political carier.
I always thought he joined the Presidential race too early.
Immagine attempting to run for President in 2003 under ANPP, and then coming second in PDP primaries in 2007 only to attempt to unsit a sitting Governor going for a second term in 2011 as the candidate of APGA.
This guy is a good politician but his timing on when to run and where to run is not very good.
I wish him luck anyway. LOL @Topic,what other qualities aside philanthropy does Rochas possess?IMO hes just like every other politician? Is he the best Imo have got to offer? Jumping and campaigning for any available political seat is a clear pointer that he might be "vision-less" |
I know people who have good marriages/homes on that a month. Brother. Nothing is impossible. Just make it known to your spouse this is the situation of things, if you must go ahead, go ahead, when do you want to wait till? Till you start earning 400k a month? Will that time ever come?
. . .Its also good to know and be honest abt the kind of life those ppl u know are living/had lived. What do we want?keep-on with the rat race?Children of sch. age hawking pure water and gala, girls going into pro.stitution to survive, broken homes and abandoned babies . . .the endless cycle. An old baba working as a driver/gardener who cares not abt the wife/kids can surely survive on a 10K a month but have we stopped to think abt the kids, numerous wives cos surely they are doing something somewhere to survive. @Poster,what is your wife-to-be doing now? How soon do u guys want to start making babies? Aside your 40K salary, how secured are u?do u have investments, savings, handiwork which u can fall back-on on a rainy day. Bringing in kids into this life with practically nothing put down to give them a lil'bit of comfort and good start in life is the chief of all types of witchcraft,IMO. |

babalase: A m not sure about the easiest route,i pray someone advise me on this, all am interested on is to bring them to united state legally.
thanks for the new clue,i will make enquiry but wait a minute what is the difference? Foster-parent is a person who acts as parent and guardian for a child in place of the child's natural parents but without legally adopting the child. You as the foster parent, takes care of everything abt the children(shelter, food, education, health, clothing etc). In your case,in as much as u want to help but for the fact that the "mother" of those kids are alive,it wud be advisable to foster them. Btwn,u can still take them to the states legally without necessarily adopting them. Again, are u married?cos if u are single and thinking of adopting legally in Nigeria . . . .you are in for a very lonnnng thing. |

zubeyr: its never meant to u keep moving Not nice, not nice at all. This thread is open to everyone. hymen: Alhamdulilah ! However, I'm beginning to Ify's 'testimony' ! LOL. Dear,u can choose to believe whatever makes u sleep fine at night. Lie to faceless people,as in what do i stand to gain/lose?oh Pleaseeeee. Lagosboy: Why the doubt? The testimony is simple in that she got her husband curious about Islam, her husband accepted Islam before her and it took her about 9 months for her to to willingly submit to her Lords command.
As long as a person shows sincerity for a cause , the almighty rewards the person with guidance and illuminate the heart. If you go back to the very first page on this thread and read my first post and reply to Habeebah ( Ify) you would see I said I sensed sincerity in her quest. One year later she is a Muslim and her husband as well to God be the glory. It is not my doing neither is it my answers per se but the sincerity in her heart which resulted in Allah guiding her And arresting her heart with his light.
I call you Hymen as well to the religion of bliss, I call you with humility and utmost respect to your beliefs to have a change of heart and open your heart to the light of Islam perhaps you might fall in love with the prophet of Islam and complete the love you have for all the prophets which I know you as you and I both love Jesus PBUH.
In Islam you will find increase peace in the heart with your lord, you would find a real connection with your lord , you would find real fulfilment in the heart. Finally you would have a real sense of purpose in life different from the natural acquisition of material wealth. Hymen you would in short find True success Inshallah.
May the illuminator of hearts guide you and shower his best mercies on you which is guidance. I wish you peace! My husband was faster than me,he still is. I was a pastors daughter so it was really very difficult for me. . .stilll is difficult for me,accepting certain things. i don't even know why im saying this. @J.,Salams . azharuddin: Inshallah may Allah bless us with the chance to do Hajj before we die. Ameen. Amin. |

zubeyr: As Muslims can we pray for non Muslims ? In my view as Muslims we should be in tune with the humanity( AN Nas ) because the Koran informs that Muslims must recognize and appreciate their humanity orientation "You are the best Nation produced for Human kind "Al Imran 3:110 therefore being inclusive in my orientation toward humanity has been natural to me as Muslim The verses Produced by Azhar here relate to " Munafiqeen "(hypocrites) who undermined Muslims by working and conspiring with" Mushriqeen" (Pagan/Polytheist) the Munafiqeen were dangerous because they were insiders to the Muslim community so the context of revelation must be taken into account in interpreting any specific verse so the believers have been asked not to pray for those who have caused injustice and aggression against them only " This verse emphasizes that we can be compassionate Just and Human "Allah doesn't forbid you to deal Justly and Kindly with those who fought not against you on account of Religion and didn't drive you out of your homes Verily Allah Loves those who deal with Equity " (60 AL Mumtahinah 8/9 ) So what kind of kindness are we talking if we can't be inclusive about others in regard to our Prayers Some of my neighbors and friends are Christians Agnostics I have found some of the most kind Thoughtful and caring People I would like them to be Muslims but if they are not that between them and their creator to whom we will all return some time I do Pray for their guidance their welfare in this life and beyond only people who are not familiar with the koran and its discourse can reach the conclusion that this prayer is unislamic Touche ! when i was a Xtian,my very best friends and buddies were muslims, twas one the reasons i got intrested in Islam. They lived very simple and honest lives, whats there not to love? . . . i got hooked. Lagosboy: The prayer being talked about here is prayer for the dead. Is the prayer for a dead mushrik permitted in Islam ? The answer is no as your prayer cannot do anything for the dead mushrik. Allah commanded the prophet PBUH not to pray for the dead mushrik.
However prayers can be made for a living mushrik and that prayer is prayer of guidance which is the best prayer one can make for anyone on earth as there is no substitute for misguidance. Guidance leads to a life of bliss and an eternity of blissful bliss in abundance. Misguidance leads to eternal ruin and we see refuge from God from misguidance.
In Surah Fatiha we recite at least 5 times a day we say" guide us ON the right path" which means we hope we are on the right path already and begging Allah to keep us on this path. For the disbelievers we pray to Allah to bring them to guidance.
Also please let us be careful in saying someone would go to the hell fire. Yes Allah has described those who would go to hell fire however we should never personify or personalise this as the keys to hell fire and jannah lies solely with Allah and he can decide to do whatever he wants with anyone.
And God knows best As usual,u hit the nail GBAM. have i told u i loff u? @All,Barka d'Jumai. Im celebrating todays' own with my lovely husband who is now an Alhaji. All hail the PROUD alhaji wifey. |
