dru23: Sir I do respect your point of view. And a flying kick will not solve the problem, it will only enhance the problem. Now for every problem there is always a solution. You can now walk into any banking hall and request for an auto loan. But just make sure you show proof of employment. Now being an uber driver is a form of a collateral for the bank. The bank will be more than happy to loan you money at the lowest rate possible. Just make sure you show them your past 6months earnings on either uber or taxify.. And you have your currant partner voch for you, not consign o as a good employee .. We need to start thinking outside the box .. I hope have been of help to you .if you like me to give you the list of banks that a uber friendly, please kindly send me your email to dru23@hotmail.com and I will gladly send u the list of the banks and their rate. I wish you success and best of luck. Don't be a stranger if need any additional assistance. I won’t make mouth by repeating how many cars I ve on the platform already, and they are all mine, and I still drive my self, you can take ur advice and shove it deep down ur A$$. Since you ve been on this thread, you don’t contribute anything reasonable, than to fight people up and down and advertise ur product, forgetting the name of the thread is Uber Partner /driver experience, i see you as a fu<king spy, you come hear gather information then go out there to give drivers hell like you’re on the road with them.

dru23: No my brother ... the question is for any uber / taxify drivers looking for rental. As much as we need insurance for our vehicles, we also need assurance for ourselves... lets change the narrative.. #assurance # needed for partners .. You want drivers to pay for Assurance like you said, you want drivers to pay 40k as rental. Buh you don’t want to hear about reduction of drivers rentals...... my friend take this flying kick there

Google saved me thousands of naira from mechanic. Was hearing some noise while turning my steering, I went to the mechanic the guy shouted that is this and that, gave me estimate of over 50k to get it going, I said okay and told him I will get back to him, I went home and googled the issue, I found out it’s a minor thing that I can fix my self, I went and bought this tiny rubber for just 200 naira then I saw YouTube video on how to do it my self, now I have done it and no more noise, I spent less than 500 naira on 50k price mechanic gave me, the worst part is that the mechanic doesn’t even know what the rubber is and it’s function.

Wickedness everywhere, Nigeria is just full of scam.
Riders that uses card trip, can remove the card after you ve ended the trip, they will immediately remove card and use cash, while Taxify will calculate as cash trip instead of card, now driver thinks it’s a card trip, if his not conscious of his card trip won’t know what had happened.
Drivers please stop screenshot scam.

Quick one. Nigerians can be horrible. I did a drop off at Dominos, immediately another request came in, ME ope new request without waiting, I quickly called the lady, and told her I was already at dominos so she should come out let’s go, then I hardly hear what she’s saying, she talks as if am talking to a baby, you knw when somebody gives a little girl fone to talk, so I kept on saying Hello can you hear because I hardly hear her, one mind already told me to cancel and look for another request, buh I said no let me use it to complete my trip, so I heard her say just give me 5min and I will be out, so I said okay, 10min later I called her that am still waiting she said she’s coming out, now it’s 30min I ve not seen this lady, I called she said she’s outside. I said outside which side coz, I described were I was she said okay she’s comin to me, 35min nobody, I was angry then bcoz my mind told me to cancel when it was 3min only and I refused. Last last this lady told me she’s not going again that her boyfriend said his going to drop her, I nearly cry, because I saw the signs and ignored it. |

slamstanlee: u never see anything... I thought i am the one with the most interesting/weirdest riders.
1. This one kissed her boyfriend in front of the house, vi. hopped in the car. Destination Piccadilly hotel... She quickly place a call and was like: babes sorry i couldn't get all the documents photocopied.. But i am on my way coming now. Hope u ate something? I just looked at her and smiled. She smiled in return. She dashed me 800 changed witg her heart full of joy. What a player.
2. This one is d most shocking.... Pick up was at one hotel in festac. And the boyfriend was like: bros u look cute o, pls dont snatch my girlfriend, just drive her to the destination. Ikeja. Now we passed airport road to beat traffic.... And the girl was just unsettled. She said oga we just need to get there fast, i need to go put on the projector in the church, the service will start soon. Me; ok ma (church girl). She sat at d front, at a point she got comfortable talking to me. The next thing i heard: i don't know y he had to give me 15k, does he think i am that cheap? I mean i dont go out for anything less than 25k blah blah blah. Hian! I softly asked her: shebi he is ur boyfriend? Noooo he is married, he just came to Nigeria and ask me to come over. I weak. I just stopped talking till i dropped her.
3. Picked this one at TBS, to elegushi. She asked: pls can i change my clothes? Me: oh feel free. Bros i no fit explain things my eyes see that day. I can remember the front package vividly sha. Two weeks later, pick up a youth corp girl. And she said.... Oh i wish ur car is tinted. Me: why? She: i need change my clothes. Ok could u pack somewhere quiet lemme just change to my uniform. Me(not again) i just pulled over.. Got out of the car and walked away, stay till like 10min. Came back and saw her dressed in khaki and smiling sheepishly at me. She dashed me 2k on top d card trip..... Stories plenty ehn There’s no more shame in our girls eyes oh, picked one in Surulere, she was telling me how the guy she came to see allowed his friend to come inside the room, to wait for turn, which wasn’t on there contract when she was contacted, that morning them the guys wanted to run away without paying, because of that she didn’t sleep at night, she was awake to collect her money. She slept throughout the journey after giving me the gist. I pity her sha
Picked 4 girls at David Christian center lekki, they entered, one of the girls was gisting her friends that the church is the best place to meet men, that they need to package more, also she talked about how she expecting Love Machine from one of her guy that traveled abroad.
Since I started dis Uber, because of things I have heard and seen, I find it difficult to believe my gf, in fact anything she’s telling me sounds like a lie.
My brother my ear done full, sometimes I use earphones not to hear shit |

EMIOMOADEOYE: @Gazzuz I need a second opinion.
I recently replaced my Timing belt and water pump. I had being stalling the belt for fear of fakes but then d water pump started making a grinding noise. My tech said I had to change the pump and oh well I had to brave the belt with some little faith.
After the whole job was done 2 things happened. There was engine vibration though not much but significant. The vibration could be felt in the cabin. Eventually it evened out and stabilized.
The other problem was a whining noise from the timing belt area. My guess was that it was the water pump. My tech said the sound will disappear after the engine runs for sometime.
The whining noise seems to have reduced but you can still hear it. Its almost like a 16 hertz tone that changes perceptibly as the engine revs up and down no matter how small the change.
Asides that noise, the engine seems to be running fine. Its responsive, runs smoothly, no obvious change in fuel consumption.
By the was its a 2004 Lexus ES330.
And please guys don't tell me its not a good fit for UBER I really don't care. I'm a man on a survival mission. Its what I have for now. HIGHLANDER now LEXUS, Uber na the new mmm sha, make money quick |

omonla10: Met this rider today. She made a video of me and reported me to taxify when I told her I can't continue a trip of 4km and we have waited over 1hr in between.. She insisted I must stay with her all day.{cos she went to buy soap at ebeano chevron, stop at some places, go take her bath and then go out} . I recorded her audio toowhere she was calling me animal idiot.. and so on as Well. The worst part is that when she reports you and gives poor rating, Taxify will drop ur ratings by 10% or 15% self, you could ve formed one lie and tell her while waiting, then end trip and run for ur life. |

Important information. How I came back from 4.22 ratings to 4.80. 1. No more night trips, 10pm max am done for the day. 2. I start early and close early 3. I accept trips by the tune of ur voice, once I notice rudeness in the tune I just cancel, no be ur papa buy moto for me 4. I leave little change, like 100 box 5. I ask for destination before approaching, so there won’t be any misunderstanding after I ve ended the trip 6. I try to entertain you by agreeing with you on anything you’re saying, even when I knw it’s rubbish 7. Always on soundcity fm or beat fm, for some cool vibes 8.

10.
Am leaving this space for the expects, help us with how you do it. I still miss Romeo in this thread.

To work self is not by force, their are others ways to make money... begging on the street, cooperate job, civil servants, ashewo job both male and female job now, stealing etc etc... the choice is yours .. Someone of u people even given a million $ , you would not know what to do with it other than born children have girlfriends part and do big man all over the place... if life gives you u lemon ,try and make lemonade out of it ... nwizu042: Talking about experience:
Please note that I am a newbie(75 trips in all) and I rely strictly on the map as I no sabi Lagos road at all.
Was on the road by 7am yesterday, completed2 trips on the mainland then the 3rd took me to the island. Dropped the rider off and got another almost immediately location Osbourne estate. Got to the rider, called and he said he is coming down now in his oyinbo accent. Waited for good 11 minutes before be showed up, got in and told me he is headed to the airport and was kinda late, I took off,got to the airport he asked how much it was, I ended trip and was waiting for the fare , Omo no network eh! Airtel don kill me I cried , oyinbo say he is in a hurry but that I should send my account details and fare to him and he will transfer later so I left, got out of the airport and network showed up so I quickly parked and was typing my details when a police hilux blocked me and ordered me out, ahh I don enter! They showed me the no parking sign and Every so I tried explaining but one of them got inside my car and ordered me to drive to the station, while driving I pleaded with the police man he said the fine was 50K, ahh I have made just 4800 and my fuel sign is up already(hadn't bought fuel yet) I begged ended up taking all I had made and I still had to thank their oga join... now am angry.. I got another request , called the guy he said he was in front of excellence hotel, drove there he said he was opposite ahh ahh... got there he said I have passed I should drive go take a u turn again, I screamed cancel please this is too much already, he pleaded I finally got to him(spent 15 minutes) saw another driver there we spoke, he told me the trip was to iyana ipaja, eh, am not going oo,he begged that he wants to chop taxify bonus today and that we will get a trip from there ...OK... the family came out and said I was going to carry 5 passengers, eh! eh!eh!! I refused. ..... 30 minutes into the journey a commercial yellow bus wanted to replicate fast and furious and scratched my car, I parked in the middle of the road , wasted 20 minutes there ,finally he drop 5k and I let him go... got to iyana ipaja , dropped off passenger, another request and was 3 minutes away, got there via map and it turned out the map was wrong, ended up following bike to get to the rider who was about 12 minutes away, where are you going sir I asked,he said drive I will direct you, the ride took me to the boundary of Lagos and ogun, somewhere in alakuko . I just vex.. off data.... drive 1hour jejely to my house.... Newbies... always ask where the trip leads before you navigate to the rider... That was one Saturday to remember
I apologize for the errors..... please bosses in the house, share do's and don't's for us newbies. ThAnks for your usual cooperation... It has happened to the best of us, I hate those places, also never accept a trip that tells you don’t worry I will show you where am going to, always insist of knowing the place you’re going to before starting the trip, if his not going to tell you, jejely cancel the trip, you will get another request |
