I'm not shocked. Mind you, by Nigerians he meant the north. To them nigeria starts and end with the north. Every other region is insignificant.

I just see her IG posts, like and move on..

Na my parents cause this wahala,in secondary school,I wasn't rich or too fine or too smart, what made me a big boy was football
I don't mean to brag but I was literally invicible
I was like the Lionel Messi of my school..
Those dribbles, long shots, skills, killer passes made the entire school hail
me,if I just touch ball, everybody go dey shout...
the girls go just corner me after the match
Even ss3 boys and our teachers were scared to play against me and my guys..
My classmates I1 and I2 go just dey fight for me anytime we want to play ball
Those days were my best because I was like a god
Even the local competition with other schools,I always led my team to victory
My neighbors, classmates and teachers usually urged me to start playing football

I begged and begged my parents to let me play football but my father promised to stop funding my life if I tried such
Once, when I was 14,before I was forced to go to science class so I can study medicine,I argued with my father about it but he gave me the beating of my life
When I tried to get in touch with one of my uncles abroad,it led to a fight with my father..
Omo na so that dream just comot

Nowadays, when things are not going right,I wonder how life could have been rosy for me if I was allowed to play football
E sure me say I for don dey ball for one European top team dey collect like €150k weekly dey chop life..

Was feeling feverish so I went to a one hospital like that to see the doctor hoping that it will be a matter of him running a test and prescribing drugs for me

When I met the nurses and told them about my condition they asked me to lie down and wait for the doctor. Before I knew it big big drips and injections where flying around, different people where coming to take my blood and urine samples.

I was surprised and I kept asking what was wrong with me but they wouldn't tell me. Their response was "the doctor will be with you soon"

To cut long story short, they made me spend two days in that hospital for malaria and then slammed me with a bill of 40k. When on a normal, I nor suppose spend pass 2k

Romance / April 21 2008: Worst Day Ever! Share Yours. by Igbankpa(m): 5:55pm On Jul 25, 2021
The day we got news of my dad's death.

seeing my mum broken and crying all over the place with neighbors having a really hard time trying to console her, never seen my mum in such state of devastation hence I was broken as well.

We've not seen daddy for months, and we where expecting him to arrive the following day, Imagine the excitement.

My mum already made her hair, looking good for her husband Whom she has not seen in a long while and had his favorite aphang soup prepared, Only for us to receive news of his death and to be buried the next day.

It was a mass burial for all the victims that died in the accident which involved a fuel tanker and a military truck moving soldiers who had just arrived from a mission in Sudan back to their base in maiduguri.

The men, filled with excitement and anticipating meeting the family they left behind and have greatly missed, little did they know that death had his own plan and eventually struck on that faithful evening (April 21 2008) taking all 48 soldiers occupying a particular truck including my father.

The government organised an impromptu burial for them which my mum had to take the next available flight to Abuja the next morning to bid my dad farewell.

The last memory I have of my dad was that faithful evening he left the house all dressed up in his camouflage and his military kits. He was a galant and fine soldier!.

One thing I observed about my dad was that whenever he is on his military uniform, it's more like he takes on a different persona or he gets possessed by a different spirit. Not in a bad way though! I mean, his movements and body language changes instantly.

I watched him walk gallantly and waved at him continuously until he went out of sight. He was on his way to maiduguri in obedience to the clarion call, I never knew that will be the last I'll be seeing of my father, even after his death except for my mum who had to fly down to Abuja the next day, I and my siblings weren't given the opportunity to pay tribute. but hopefully one day, I intend going to visit his resting place in the national cemetery Abuja.

Up till this day, I still feel like my dad is still out there and would one day come home and tell us he didn't die, that it was all a conspiracy by the Nigerian government for them to just disappear which was a necessity for the efficient execution of a highly classified mission.

Well....I guess it's the Hollywood movies messing my head up or it's the fact that I didn't experience his burial or have any real evidence of his death and I just badly wish it's all a dream I would wake up from.

He said one word....

Relax...

Everything falls In place after a while
"Everything falls in place eventually" OP that is the line! Not long ago I had nothing and had no hope, steady looking out for handouts from anyone willing to give.
But today I have a job even if it's not something big, I'm contented with the progress I've made so far and I'm obviously an happier man than I was yesterday, By the grace of GOD it will keep getting better.
The thing is you just keep moving, if you can't fly, you walk, if you can't walk you crawl. Avoid stagnation by any means. Nothing is wrong being in your fathers house at 27, as long as you know you are doing your best to move forward in life, just keep pushing and stay optimistic things will definitely fall in place eventually.
