@ realcool There is no way that ugly uk denial stamp wont have an effect on his application. My cousin was denied visa to the UK, when he applied to go to france he was asked why he was denied visa to uk, then he was denied visa to france too. If your cousin isnt troubled about the denial, he may apply with the same passport. I know Italy needs money from tourism and all, and since your cousin isnt a woman( u know what i mean), im inclined they will grant him the visa. It might be good for him sef. UK is dry. He might wish to engage a travel agent to assist him with hotel reservation and city guide/tour guide. |
@Adewale I hope you get it. Is your orientation program compulsory? Well, that your documents has not been returned by now could mean they are considering your applkication. I think you may have the chance of getting the visa this time. Give it a while and then return to the embassy. Goodluck! |
@debosky Thank you my brother |
@ Delta If I have a secretary that uses that analytical tool to arrive at a 2 year processing time, I will fire her. Lets assume you have a file of 10 names. First you sort them out and process in batches not ONE BY ONE. I was once a guest at the US public affairs commission. When I chatted with the american repreentative, I was amazed at the data they have. They virtually know every school in nigeria and contact adress. And banks too. Organizational eficiency demands you sort the files out AND PROCESS IN BATCHES!!! You dont treat one file , run back and report then take the other file ,treat, run back and return with the third file!!!!!!!!!!! Do them all at once and treat in batches. Having said that, the canadian embassy has been here since 1999 i think?? They should have the contacts inground at the universties et for verification. Thats how it shoud be done. @ adewale I once called the embassy to make enquiries and demanded to speak to any senior oficial at the canadan embassy. the nigerian guy that picked told me to call by 4pm. I called by 4 there was no one. I later found out that the embasy closes by 3.30pm . They are unhelpful and i doubt anything useful will come out from calling them When is ur program starting?? Giveit sometime and then return to the embassy. And keep praying |
@ Delta. How come i received a mail from a famous UK school requesting I use a certain Rep in V.I to improve my chances of getting my students visa to the UK? For instance flying with emirates will definetly make ur entry visa to Dubai easier. There are certain things the embassy will always put into consideration when they get application from a 'certain group' of representatives especially representatives registered in their home country with a good track record. I do not expect the embassy to come out plainly to admit this. I am equally aware that its the visa officers discretion to grant visa Thanks anyway for your observation. It will go a long way in helping me make up my mind |
@ Adewale My broda I tire too!!! Why cant the embasy employ local nigerians to assist with the verification?? Subjecting someone to a 4 months wait for a study permit while his documents and passport are kept, to me is terrible. It took my organisation just 4 days to verify my document for employment. it should not be different for the embassy. The americans insist on an interview and do not labour everyone with a wayward verification exercise. You will always know a fake student by looking at one. Just a few quetiions will bring the rookie out. Nigeriansn are not more fraudulent than canadians themselves so i wonder what all the time spent on verification is all about!!! |
@ Delta 007 U missed the point. Let me rephrase. Is it likely that the CDHC will be more biased towards applications made through their representatives in Canada registered in Nigeria? Although the embasy said that using a representative wouldnt affect the decision for a visa, is that correct? I know of people that have gotten their visas through representatives. I want to make up my mind if I should use a representative or to apply myself. This has nothing to do with clogged brains or straight foward aplications. Im sure you know what I mean. |
Hello people. I would like to enquire from this forum if application for a canadian study permit is best made through their recognised representative(s) in Niggeria. I have read a lot especially from the CDHC website that applying through a representative would not affect the outcome of the application, but I doubt it. Has anyone here gotten his permit applying by himself? Has anyone equally obtained his permit through an agency? Can both parties please step foward with useful suggestions and experience(s). Thanks |
@ azimit. I attended the last canadian study fair in february. The CDHC representative said they only lookk at the fees for the first year in the applicants account. So for them to grant u a visa, they must be satisfied you have enough resources for the first year. Is this your first year of admission? can u defer to next year? if yes, I will suggest you go ahead and make payment. Most schools need a commitment fee to know the number of students they expect and also to project for the academic year. June 2 to me is a bit late. I have friends that applied in march that are yet to heat anything. This canadian embassy visa people are lazy oooo. what are they processing that wll take centuries to conclude? nawa oooh! |
Adewale I also applied to study in canada but has not heard from them since I made my application on the 26th of may. My last application for a study permit last year was denied and returned in 3 weeks. So i can tell you u might be in luck since your application has not been returned til date. Did u apply through an agency? Did you notarize your documents? Did you applywith your originals? I think you need to relax. The fact that you have a family here will definetely be a good ground to give u the visa cos u have sufficient family ties. All the same , lets hope and wait for the best. Kind Regards |
Peekayo Arik has been in existence for more than a year now. I will take your post to mean you just recently flew arik. Your message seems to appear a bit confused. On one hand you wrote that your trip was smooth then you made a sommersault and thn said that you will not recommend arik. If yourgrouse was with customer service, then clearly state it. Running to a blog like naira land to discourage people from flying arik simply because of 'bad CC care'' seems a bit hasty to me. This is a $5 billion plus investment and I will encourage you to see arik for what it is: A revolution in the avaition industry in Nigeria. |
