Airfixltd: To be frank, it is the turn of the Igbos to produce the next Nigeria president come 2023. Although there is no official or formal arrangement in this regard going by our lopsided constitution. But then of course, certain things requires common sense for the sake of equity and fairness especially in an already fragile country like Nigeria where tribalism and religion hold sway. To buttress this above, since the return of democracy in 1999 only the SE, NC and NE have not produced Nigerian president. Given that power comes to the South in 2023, the SE should be given the chance this time.
But even if the Igbos are denied the opportunity and for instance the SW produces the next president it must not be Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Truth be told, we have the likes of the current president of AFDB and former minister of Agriculture under former president Jonathan but again I say not Tinubu.
There are a number of reasons why no sane Nigerian should support Tinubu candidacy and I will mention a few hear not minding that gullible and sentimental Nairaland followers of Tinubu will invade this thread to spew their meaningless and usual trash the same trash they spewed in 2015 that have brought them to their knees of abject poverty and suffering under Buhari.
First, Tinubu is not qualified to take over from Buhari because he is a Muslim. If he succeeds in doing that, power will automatically return to the North and of course another Muslim from the North will clinge to power. Put together what that would mean is that the Muslim would have ruled Nigeria for straight 24 uninterrupted years. Therefore, no normal, sane and educated Nigerian should vote Tinubu be you a Muslim or Christian.
Again, recently, Tinubu made a statement that he is ready to fight dirty to become the president. This sounds like the statement of a desperate man and Nigerians can not afford another desperate politician like we did in 2015. In fact this statement sounds more like when Buhari said monkey and baboon will soak in blood if he lost the election.
The point is this, to rule Nigeria shouldn't be by force or threat. In fact any sane mind should know that any aspirant who is making calous statement concerning 2023 election does not have Nigeria interest at heart. This same Tinubu years ago said he doesn't believe in one Nigeria. The question he should be asked today is when did he suddenly believe in one Nigeria that he is so desperate to rule same?
Third, it is crystal clear to the blind that Tinubu is not in the best state of health. A man who can possibly pee on his body in a public space is not fit and can't be trusted with the destiny of over 200 million people. But then of course, Nigeria is an enclave of gullible and blind supporters whose fabrics have been destroyed by ethnicity, religion and the promise of a derica cup of rice.
Tinubu should perish his aspiration to rule Nigeria for his inability to speak up for the same Nigerians he desires to rule who have been murdered in cold blood at different times and location by terrorist, bandits, UGM etc. Tinubu has also failed to call Buhari to order in the manner in which he has ruled Nigeria for the past six years. Instead of speaking up he has tolled the path of demonic silence. How can anyone trust such a man to rule Nigeria?
More, Tinubu was ones the former governor of Lagos state. Every Nigerian should probe into his days of providing leadership in Lagos. What were his achievements apart from promoting agberoism and amassing wealth for himself and his cronies. Unfortunately, Tinubu has succeeded in selling the lies that he is the architect behind all the achievement of Fashola, Ambode and Sanwolu put together. In fact many have gone ahead to buy this lies hook line and sinker. How can you be the architect of BRT without implementing it for 8 years of your reign?
Tinubu has held Lagos in his pocket and once voted in as president the same thing will play out at the federal center. He believes first in himself, his wife and children and then his loyalist. Is that the kind of president we want to have after Buhari wasteful, destructive and poverty ridden regime?
We must also reject Tinubu on the grounds that he is already old. Age is not on his side. Truth is, if Nigerians want this country to move forward, we must go for people of younger age. I do not believe in our youths to steer the ship of our national life at least not for now but an aspirant not more than sixty years resourceful, tested and proven with sterling lerdership qualities will be just fine. Such person must tell Nigerians in clear terms how he/she intends to clean the mess of Buhari regime, improve on our security, economy, education, power, infrastructure as well as improve on our international outlook.
My point is clear, it is the turn of the SE to produce a president for the sake of equity and fairness. But if for any reason the SE are not able to put their ass together then the position let another from the South take but definitely not Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It is a no no for me.
Just because you are Igbo doesn't guarantee you being a president. To be president you need to have skills for governance I.e. building concensus and working with various interest groups - both friendly and unfriendly. Unfortunately Igbos have mostly choose activism. To be an activist is easy....you can point out problems but you end up isolating yourself. Most Nigerians will be concerned having an Igbo president. Igbos are the only tribe to declare independence from Nigeria and ipob is actively seeking that....such activism destroys the little trust Nigerians gave Igbos when Ojukwu acknowledged that the Biafra war was a mistake and actively participated in the Nigerian politics heading APGA party.

If US and Russia goes to war it will be the end of the world as we know it....mushroom clouds everywhere.
As Western powers attempt to avert a Russian invasion of Ukraine, Nord Stream 2, a long-touted energy infrastructure project that has already driven a wedge between Germany and the United States, could become a key bargaining chip.
The $11bn gas pipeline across the Baltic Sea, owned by Russia’s state-backed energy giant Gazprom, runs from western Siberia to Germany, doubling the capacity of the already-in-use Nord Stream 1 pipeline.
While Germany has maintained it is solely a commercial project, Nord Stream 2 also has geostrategic consequences, bypassing Ukraine and potentially depriving it of the approximately $2bn in transit fees Russia currently pays to send gas through its territory.
The pipeline could heat 26 million German homes at an affordable price and construction was completed in September.
However, German regulators have yet to issue the final legal permission Gazprom needs to begin operations.
The US has viewed the pipeline as a geopolitical tool for Russia to undermine energy and national security, increasing Moscow’s leverage over Europe, where gas prices have been soaring.
This is particularly important now when Europe sees a decline in domestic gas production and an increasing demand for imported gas.
Theatre...These jokers are not okay....the US imposed this same sanctions on the Nord stream 2 under Trump but Biden reversed it. Now that they already gave Putin power they are now rushing to reimpose thesame sanctions...but it's too late now...All Putin need to do is play the Georgian card...provoke Ukrainian soldiers who are both angry and afraid, to shell the Russian "peacekeepers" and then he will show it on Russian TV stations to the population to gain support for a full invasion of Ukraine as retaliation for killing Russian "peacekeepers"

neo25: Hi all a friend of mine tells me he sees his wife always in dreams with another strange Man like she is married to him and he as the husband would stand by and watch them both like a stranger in that dream.
They both have been married for 10 years now but these dreams have been occurring at least every week since last years November 2021. Can anyone please advise, both the Spiritual and Physical implications.
Thanks.
If the dream is from God then God has shown him to do something about it...i.e. watch and pray for his marriage and his own life
1. It may mean nothing 2. It may mean the man would soon die and she would remarry and he would watch from the spirit realm 3. It may mean the woman would marry someone else 4. It may mean the woman is cheating on him
This should concern all Nigerians....if they conqurer the North they will move to conqurer the south a d it looks like the operation to conqurer the whole Nigeria is well underway while Nigerian leaders are mute because of political ambitions.
Lasunray01: Good day nairalanders. My first time post in 5yrs.
Will try to summarize the issues and seek sincere advise please.
I’ve been married before but got divorced within a year due to genotype issues(it’s a long story). So I remarried 2yrs after and with a child now, and that’s where my issues started from.
I know I have some bad sides too which I’m trying to change, which is flirting with single ladies, and this has caused multiple fight with my wife.
Whenever we have this fights, not physical, just verbal, but in her anger she breaks virtually anything around, cups, laptop, speakers etc. she can be madly angry. I’ve warned, petted her severally to desist from this act especially infront of our kid...but she won’t. It’s getting worse by the day. Now she reports me with blackmail to her parents and friends making me feel I’m the worst husband in the universe, calling me unprintable names. Calling me weak cos I don’t beat.
Now the advice I seek, we are planning to relocate as a family abroad this year, but I’m really scared. I can actually go alone, but would prefer we all go together since I have the means. But I’m scared if I won’t regret my actions to take her along with this her character. What if I get jailed or lose custody of our child abroad, because she’s a master in blackmail. She can turn simple issue overboard.
Sorry for the long epistle. Just had to pour out my mind. Constructive criticism is welcomed.
Thank you
This is very tricky considering her attitude and the culture of "believe all women". My advice is go with your family but also invest in secret cameras in your home....just because she will go ballistic again...seems that's her nature....if she spins the story to the police or social services you can bring out hard video evidence....never lay your hands on her o cos you may end up in jail and never see your children again
No human as being able to escape the earth atmosphere....the blue sky (aka firmament) cannot be penetrated....even in Antarctica where the firmament touched down after many years of trying to drill through the sky ice no government has achieved that....by the way the earth isn't spinning 22,000 miles per hour....that's a load of crap....nobody has landed on the moon...and all these Mars expedition are theatre to say the list

sazzyyarns: My husband flogs me with cane and belt whenever we have an altercation. We are not newly weds and by now we should have understood each other.
He never apologizes when we reconcile instead he says i should stop doing things that provoke him (which doesnt include me going physical, so its not even in self defence). At this point im really just frustrated!!! He flogs me in the presence of the kids, sometimes he flogs them and then flogs me too.
That's domestic abuse....A very sad story....You seem to have been enduring this for a long time. How was he during courtship, if you had one?
