PoliticsYou Are Very Much Associated With Lies- Atiku Tell Lai Mohammed by igwe699(op): 7:14am On May 16, 2019
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has described comments by the Presidency suggesting that he and his party are sabotaging the Muhammadu Buhari-led government as lies.

Minister of Information, Lai Mohamed, had said that Atiku and his party, were doing everything to over heat the polity.

Mohammed further described their alleged actions as an act of treason.

However, in response to the claims, Atiku through a statement by his media aide, Mazi Paul Ibe, described the allegations as all lies.

Atiku said, “It is not surprising that such a despicable lie is emanating from Mr. Lai Mohammed, President Buhari’s aptly named Minister of Information.”

PoliticsStop Blaming Oppositions For Your Mass Failure - PDP Slams Buhari Govt by igwe699(op): 6:51am On May 16, 2019
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on the Federal Government to stop inventing excuses and blaming the opposition for its mass failures.

The PDP added that the expectation of Nigerians was for the Muhammadu Buhari Presidency to live up to the demands of their offices; instead of blaming the opposition for their self-inflicted woes.

The main opposition party was reacting to comments by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, where he accused it of doing everything possible to sabotage President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

The PDP said the minister’s tone betrays the frustration of a failed administration seeking excuses and scapegoats, instead of accepting its failures and self-inflicted woes.

The National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement on Wednesday said: “it is incontrovertible that the PDP as a highly responsible political party, committed to the unity and stability of our dear nation, nurtured our democracy for 16 years and has continued to express its full respect for every arm of government including the judiciary

“It is equally undisputable that the All Progressives Congress (APC), within a period of four years, has wrecked our democratic structures, relegated and harassed judicial officers, disregarded our laws and judicial pronouncements, divided our people and practically brought our nation to its knees only for them to now turn to look for scapegoats where there are none.

It is instructive to state that, in the course of serving our dear nation for sixteen years, the PDP was never known for intimidating and harassing judicial officers at any level.

“It is, therefore, unfortunate that the Minister of Information and Culture could suddenly recourse to making irresponsible allegations against the PDP and our Presidential candidate instead of accepting their failures.

“As a party we consider it awkward for the APC and its government, under whose only four years tenure, our judiciary has been thoroughly embarrassed, to make...

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says over 1.3 million candidates have so far accessed their results using the result checker (code), 55019.

The board’s Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in an interview on Wednesday in Lagos.

Benjamin was speaking against the backdrop of claims in some quarters that majority of candidates, who participated at the board’s 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), had yet to access their results through the said code.

He also described as untrue, speculations by some mischief makers that the N50 charge incurred through the code was going to the board’s purse.

“I want to refute all these claims as there is no truth in them.

“First and foremost, by our records, over 1.3 candidates who sat for this examination have accessed their results using the code for checking the results, which remains ‘55019’.

“Again, let me also state in clear terms that the N50 charged in the.....

PoliticsWe Must Take Back Our Victory At The Supreme Court- PDP, Adeleke by igwe699(op): 3:46pm On May 09, 2019
The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has disclosed that it will proceed to the Supreme Court to challenge the verdict of the Appeal Court given in favour of Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as winner of the Osun 2018 governorship election.
This was contained in a statement signed by the PDP’s Vice Chairman, Eddy Olafeso, where he said that the party expressed shock over the outcome of the appeal.
Recall that INEC had declared Oyetola as the winner of the Osun State governorship election which prompted his main opponent, Ademola Adeleke of the PDP to filed petition before The Tribunal.

Adeleke posited that he already won the September 22, 2018 poll, stressing that there was no need for the supplementary election held on September 27, 2018.

The tribunal, in its March 22, 2019 judgment, nullified Oyetola’s victory and declared Adeleke and the PDP the winner of the election. The judgment was termed as minority judgement in some quarters based on the split judgement of two to one.

But Olafeso, in the statement issued on Thursday after the Appeal Court judgement, stated that, “Today the Federal Court of Appeal Panel delivered its judgment on the matter of Osun Governorship election in favor of the APC and its candidate in the election.

“We must say as a party in the matter, we are shocked at the premise upon which the said verdict is anchored, therefore we are certainly thinking, and importantly, in conjunction with our candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke to exploit the only available option to us, by appealing against this decision to the Supreme Court.”

The PDP Vice Chairman further stated that, “It is crucial for... READ MORE: https://ugobestiky.com/we-must-take-back-our-victory-at-the-supreme-court-pdp-adeleke/
PoliticsWe Have Evidence Against You – EFCC Tells Saraki by igwe699(op): 8:29pm On May 08, 2019
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has reacted to statement by Senate President Bukola Saraki accusing the agency of ‘witch-hunting’.

Saraki through Yusuph Olaniyonu, his Special Adviser, lambasted the EFCC over its decision to investigate his earnings while as Kwara State Governor.

He stated that the commission was asked to go after him on a witch-hunt exercise by political opponents seeking to settle scores.

Responding to Saraki’s allegations that the ongoing probe was a witch hunt, EFCC said it had hard evidence to probe Saraki.

The acting EFCC spokesman, Tony Orilade, in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday, said Saraki was not above the law, noting that the Commission was obligated by law “to enthrone probity and accountability in the governance space, a duty it claimed to have pursued without ill-will or malice against anyone.”

The Commission added that it possessed indicting petitions and other evidence against the Senate President, stressing that “putting him through a legitimate forensic inquiry was the legitimate route to establish his integrity
