TechWalker007:

You have spoken like a kid and an APC tout.

Does it really matter the state the fight against corruption starts?

If the people are not corrupt after investigation and trial, then you can cry witch hunt.
1st am not a kid,2nd,am not a supporter of either pdp or apc but saying the truth as I have seen it,thirdly,it matters, did u read what they said was the reason for the arrest?,"a petition from an unknown person",the question why have they not investigated stella oduah even after all the public out-cry and condemnations about the car scam?,why have they not investigated aruma oteh?,even when the legislature has recommended her sack?.mind u am from anambra and stella is even from ogbaru near my local government but it is obvious gej is shielding her and what has that same efcc done since that saga broke out??. He(gej) is simply using government machinery to hunt down opponents eg amechi (police),lamido and kwakansho (efcc)

TechWalker007: GEJ haters are very funny.

They have been shouting GEJ is tolerating corruption, now the cry is "witch-hunting".

The same people who are shouting he is not fighting corruption will shout witch hunt!

And @op, where's your "sauce".
why will the corruption be fought only in states he has political issues with it's governors like kano, jigawa etc does it mean governors of akwa ibom, bayelsa, benue, kastina and their law makers are saints??,this is clearly a political witch hunt!!

Sodiq33: CBN CONFIRMS FG’S CLAIM ON 200 BILLION
NAIRA UNIVERSITIES INFRASTRUCTURE FUNDS
AS PRESIDENCY AGAIN CALLS ON ASUU TO
END STRIKE
The Central Bank of Nigeria has confirmed that
a sum of two hundred billion Naira agreed with
the Academic Staff Union of Universities at a
meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan on
the 5th of November, 2013 has been fully paid
into a Revitalization of Universities
Infrastructure Account.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on
Public Affairs, Dr Doyin Okupe made the CBN
letter available to newsmen today in Abuja.
In the letter signed by the Deputy Governor of
the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr Tunde Lemo and
addressed to the Accountant General of the
Federation, the apex bank confirmed that the
total sum of two hundred billion Naira is the
balance in the account as required.
The Letter titled CONFIRMATION OF THE
EXCECUTION OF YOUR MANDATE FOR THE
CREDIT OF ACCOUNT ON REVITALISATION OF
UNIVERSITIES INFRASTRUCTURE ACCOUNT
indicate that the sum was paid in three
tranches of 129,300,000,000,00k;
20,700,000,000,00k and 50,000,000,000,00k
into the account as directed.
While reiterating that the President is fully
committed to the implementation of agreements
reached with ASUU, Okupe said a Needs
Assessment Implementation Committee which
has representatives of ASUU on board will be
inaugurated tomorrow in order to fast track the
utilization of the released funds and tackle
infrastructural deficiency in the University
system.
According to the Presidential aide, Government
has received a number of representations from
eminent Nigerians and stakeholders on the need
to temper justice with mercy regarding the
ultimatum issued to the striking lecturers to
resume work or face stiff sanctions.
In the words of Okupe “ Government appreciates
the fact that a number of Universities have
either resumed academic activities or
announced resumption dates in line with the
directives earlier issued by the Committee of
Pro Chancellors.
We appreciate the fact that many chapters of
ASUU have resumed work and many more will
follow suit shortly. Government is only desirous
of normalcy in the educational sector in view of
the importance of this sector to the society.
Now that evidence has been provided as to the
availability of the sum of two hundred billion
Naira for immediate disbursement to
Universities, we expect that ASUU will call off
this strike so that normalcy will fully return to
our campuses. This is the only honorable path
for our distinguished academics in the present
instance.”
He added that Government does not intend to
victimize anyone who participates in a
legitimate strike action in view of the fact that
Nigeria is a signatory to the International
Labour Organisation convention which
guarantees workers’ rights to strikes convened
in line with due processes.
Dr Doyin Okupe
Senior Special Assistant to the President on
Public Affairs
that is a welcome development, okupe tell your oga to asked a minister to sign the black and white paper called agreement so that students will go back to school me inclusive

ese79: the government has always had the student at heart and that is what ASUU took advantage of. government was just pushed to the wall
is been push to the wall is being asked to sign a resolution that was deliberated for about 13hours?,or being pushed to the wall is asking a top ranking minister to sign the new agreement when they have been previously accused that the 2009 agreement was not signed by a high ranking government official hence it can't be implemented?,or is being pushed to the wall is asking government to redeem it's promise of injecting 200billion naira in the universities before this year runs out, mind u this was what the government promised to do,or is being pushed to the wall is asking that non of your members should be victimized because of the positions they took during the struggle?;mind u I am a student like u in a public university that is on strike but let us be rational and sensible when we say some certain things.it is obvious that government is not sincere with it's dealings with ASUU members.

Is wike the spoke person of the committee of vice-chancellors?,why will it be him that will make such announcement if truly it was the vice-chancellors that made the decision?,lastly from that day till this friday all schools that announced resumption stated that it was in compliance with the directive of the federal government being represented by wike.so why is jonathan running away from the obvious?,he made a threat december 4 has not reached now he is singing another turn.I think one of the hobbies of jonathan is reverting himself.he was in government when the 2009 agreement was signed yet he claimed it was not implementable,he re-name unilag maulag he reversed to unilag,he was among the people that signed an agreement for power to be rotating between north and south, later he claimed he has no knowledge of the said agreement. Now it is that ASUU is going extreme next week he will denied he said such a thing.they said he has a drinking problem I saw it as an insult to the president of a country but now am having a rethink.
