Car TalkRe: I'm Confused On Which Car 2 Buy Betw Toyata Camry And Peugeot 406.pls Advice by Ikenna351(m):
kingreign:
If you buy the peugeot, when the electrical and other ish sets in ehn, you'll cry even if you're hard hearted.
Isn't this funny. The above statement is something the people you people call Kazeem would say, yet such statement is coming from you.

You said you are automobile repairer/mechanic. Meaning, you are speaking as an Authority that you understand and know Peugeot 406 so well, meaning, you are certain of what you said about Peugeot 406. Well, let's find out.

I am going to ask you some basic questions a Peugeot mechanic, specialist in Peugeot systems or anyone that have first hand information on Peugeot 406 should know. If you could answer all of them (because they are very basic), then we would know truly if you were telling the truth or going with the crowd.

Here they come:

1. What are the factory codes of pre-facelift and facelifted Peugeot 406?

2. What's the difference between VAN-bus 406 & CAN-bus Peugeot406, electrically? What electrical components differentiate them?

3. What production years of Peugeot 406 are VAN-bus and CAN-bus?

4. What would a CAN-bus Peugeot 406 do when you open the door with key in ignition and what would VAN-bus one do?

5. What's the simplest and easiest way/method of knowing if cooling system thermostat has failed when a Peugeot 406 engine has ran for over an hour and all of a sudden the engine starts overheating?

6. What usually happens when one is trying to abuse a Peugeot 406 cooling fan by trying to bypass radiator factory fan connection and short circuited wires in the fan relay chamber?

7. How many speed level does facelifted Peugeot 406 factory radiator fan have?

8. At what coolant temperature degree celcius is Peugeot 406 fan triggered, as factory designed?

9. How many CTS does early ES engine in Peugeot 406 have and how many does the late ES engine in Peugeot 406 have too?

10. What are the functions of each of the CTS in all ES engines, using their colours to describe them?

11. What are the differences between EW engines in Peugeot 406 and EW engines in Peugeot 407?

12. What's the function of BSM in Peugeot 406?

13. What's the difference between BSM in Peugeot 406 & BSM in Peugeot 607 pre-facelift?

14. What components on early ES engine differ from the late ES engine in Peugeot 406?

16. How can you tell a Peugeot 406 that has downstream sensor by mere looking at the VIN? Give example.

17. How can you tell a specific Peugeot engine in Peugeot 406 by mere looking at the VIN? Which of the digits of the VIN tells the engine in Peugeot 406? Give example.

18. What is the name of ignition/injection system of all ES engines in Peugeot 406?

19. What petrol engines in Peugeot 406 pre-faclift and facelift models that are interference and non-interference engines?

20. What are model names/codes of all automatic transmissions in Peugeot 406 with petrol engines, and which of them are attached to EW & ES engines?

21. What is the factory recommended tyre size and wheel size of Peugeot 406 with EW12 engine, including the tyre speed rating?

22. What's the OEM ignition coil brand name in late ES engine in Peugeot 406 and recommended equivalant brand?

23. How many front brake disc sizes and rear brake disc sizes does Peugeot 406 Sedan have, including the brake pads?

24. What is the difference between remote control key plips of Peugeot 406 with VAN-bus and one with CAN-bus?

25. What is the difference between datawire and databwire in Peugeot 406?

I still have more questions that if answered, would determine how well you know Peugeot 406 and other Lions, to authoritatively say this or that will happen to a Peugeot 406 if you buy one. But, the above questions are very basic, not even technical, for anyone that claims to be an expert enough to advice one on Peugeot cars.

You have enough time to scan the whole internet for anwsers to the above 25 questions. Howerver, I can wait. Or you give them right away if you know them.

This is my first and am so confused due to people the see there self's as expert in automobile. There are those that will say don't buy 406 cos the parts are expensive and always develope electrical fault. Please I need advice from those who know more. Thanks.
Your post/comment already showed the car you truly want and would be happy to have, is the Peugeot 406. Do not give up that happiness because you think other peoples happiness or sadness is "your portion". Follow your bliss. Fulfil the life you came to this planet to experience, not someone else choices and their lives. You got yourself confused because you ignored your inner being, your inner joy to seek relevance elsewhere. What you dont understand is, "You create your own happiness as you go along with life". But the moment you want others to define what should make you happy by ignoring that strong desire to create that happiness your spirit want for you (that feelings you probably experience each time you see a clean Peugeot 406 or think of one), you self doubt yourself, you feel unworthy, you split yourself from whom you really are, which will make you become confused as you pointed out already, and most times, could make you feel miserable. My happiness should be irrelevant to you because I am Me, not you. I followed my Bliss and created happiness out of what some people considered nightmare. FOLLOW YOUR BLISS!

Peugeots/Lions are wonderful animals. Everything you want to know about Peugeot 406 is already provided for you and anyone else interested in the Lion. Go through all my posts to become aware of them.

Been a while i popped in here. My fan belt seems to always be an issue. I've changed the rollers and it's either the belt wears out or after a while the new roller begins to give issues. Not sure what is going on. I get peace for 6 months and after then i start thinking of changing the belt or the rollers or both.
Anybody knows what the issue is? It's a 206 by the way.
Either the belt is fake or the auxiliary belt roller/tensioner you have been buying is fake.

Use Dayco brand belt or the geniune Gates brand.

I had the catalyst checked and was told it has blocked. I was adviced to remove it and be using the vehicle that way pending when I have the money to replace it. are there any negetive effects of usinh the vehicle without the catalyst?
Does the Lion has Downstream oxygen sensor in the emission system? If yes, what did engine ECU said about its condition? Did the ECU confirmed what you just said they told you? In fact, what did engine ECU said about your lion issues, from the beginning?

Manual diagnosis on modern lions are good when you have the right tools for it, know how to go about it or have access to parts you can swap to test, rather than change parts at random.

Car TalkRe: Peugeot: Cars With Attitude! by Ikenna351(op): 10:54pm On Oct 29, 2015
Few weeks back, I was invited to a function to give talk/speech to an audience on Vehicle maintenance tips, basically on Peugeot cars. After spending over two hours in explaining and demonstrating, it became obvious, which I was not surprised though, that most people simply lack awareness of what make them complain finding it difficult to keep their vehicles on the road. The questions that were coming, the gaze from the audience during my speech and suggestions from the audience for continuous enlightenment on the subject, was glaring about the lack of awareness. But the interesting thing is not the lack of awareness, but the desire or want (from them) to know them, was what interested me the most. I have given talks on same subject on various occasions at different functions, but I could see how interested most of them found the lecture and the "want or desire" to be aware.

Last Sunday, a neighbour approached me and said he was always wondering why my Lions body paints glitter more than every other vehicle on the street and he would want to know the secret behind it. I told him I use Total Shampoo to wash my lions which waxes paint when water dries off, when you don't dry off or wipe out water on the body with cloth after washing, by allowing it to dry by itself. He left, thankful and very happy and told me he was buying the Shampoo that day. How much does this wonder Total Shampoo cost? Just N450.

What I am getting at? Lack of awareness and desire to know. People unintentionally and sometimes intentionally put their Peugeot cars in bad shape by being indifferent, seeking for obvious wrong information, ignoring the right information even when they see one or given to them free or simply chose to wreck them.

What kind of information do you seek for on your Peugeots when you go online? You look for review sites or forums where they tell you how horrible it was to own a Lion or things you must expect to fail if you own one or you actually join the campaign on how bad your ownership of your Lion have been so far? Or do you seek for information on how you can enjoy your Lion happily ever after? In simply words, what's your personal perception about your Lion? Because, whether you like it or not, your perception about your lion or Peugeot cars will determine the kind of information you seek for or pay attention to.

I produced a DVD on Peugeot Car maintenance tips and how to prevent breakdowns, titled "Cars with Attitude!". Some bought the DVDs, but the only thing they got from the DVD was how the audio was not clear, with all the vital quality information on Peugeots given out almost free on those discs. Fortunately, some focused on those information provided in the DVDs and started enjoying their Lions. From the knowledge they gathered from the DVD, they know when to change their timing belts. They know when to change their coolant and power steering oil. They know when to change their engine oils. They know the recommended automatic and manual gearboxes oils. They know how to easily test their engine cooling system thermostat. They have learnt how Peugeot cooling systems work and the benefits attached to leaving them as factory designed. And many other information in the disc. But some, didn't see all that or weren't interested in getting theirs because they were busy seeking for negative reviews or piece of information that confirmed to them what a bad choice they made in choosing Peugeot, but at the end, would come back to complain how truly their expected nightmares had manifested. You get back what you give out. What you give your lion is what he/she gives you back. It's garbage in, garbage out. Law of Attraction is always working. What remains is, how do you choose to use the law?

You can change all that by what you choose to focus on. Your lion can turn around and become a friend to you. He or she can keep you safe. Do you know why? A vehicle is like a house and a living animal/human being. If you build a house with poor foundation or with poor building materials, what happens? The house could collapse or age quickly, by taking more money from you, fixing things here and there. Same way, animal or human being has organs, legs, etc. If you eat bad food, your body will malfunction and you will feel terrible and may end up in the hospital, spending money to get back to health. If you don't exercise or treat your body well, your heart may malfunction. Likewise, a vehicle has legs (tyres) just like humans. It has a heart (engine) which could malfunction if abused in various ways or poorly maintained. Same way other vehicle parts could malfunction when mishandled, just like human body. Same way a poorly built house could collapse and end lives, same way a poorly maintained vehicle could end lives on the road. When you realise all these, you will understand that a vehicle is not just some piece of metals joined together that should take whatever treatment given to it. Because whatever you give to it, it gives back to you.

To start caring for your Lion or get the right information, change your perception about your lion, if you still have a bad perception of him/her. Know what kind of information you give permission to come in. Then, take responsibility. Mine are my responsibility. Yours are your responsibility. You should have desires to know, at least, the basics: What engine oil to use, intervals for changing them, when to change brake pads and not wait for the brake discs to damage before changing the pads, etc. It's simply, change the perception of seeking or waiting for faults and focus on PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE. And interesting part is, its cheaper to own a Peugeot car when you apply preventative maintenance than apply "repair when broken". You can start with Owners Manual of your Lion.

Everyone can enjoy these Peugeots the way I enjoy mine. But you will need to make that decision and the choice if you want that good life. Always remember this, if others are enjoying the same model of Peugeot car you are not enjoying, then what is wrong with the picture?

4. The power steering isn't working well. The wheel is hard. I bought a new power steering pump to no avail. An electrician told me I should change the car's fuse box and the problem will be fixed since the pump is not manual to be bked but electrically controlled. Anybody had such an experience?

Suggestions and Solutions will be appreciated. Thanks
Most Peugeot 307s come with factory Variable steering. Meaning, they have Servatronic ECUs that control the heaviness and lightness of steering their wheels. Their pumps are also electrically driven.

First step to diagnose Peugeot variable steering system is to carryout PP2000 session to determine what the steering ECU has to say, including the state of resistor attached on their rack. Your findings will determine if its ECU or resistor related or pump has lost its positive or ground power supply, which can easily be tested with Digital Multimeter while engine runs.

All these have to be ruled out before considering failed pump. However, you can easily test the pump by temporary bypassing and running positive and negative supply to the pump power connector directly from battery. It will tell you if pump is good without removing the pump from the lion, because it will work with that temporal connection, if the pump is good, even if the steering ECU or resistor is faulty.

Pull out the BSM from that box. You will find the Maxi fuses under the fuse box, on the side where the battery cable is bolted on the fuse box on top.

It's not the BSI unit. BSI unit is inside the Peugeot 508, not in engine bay. The fuse box inside the Peugeot 508 is known as Engine compartment fuse box or BSM. And the image you posted is the engine fuse box, not BSI unit.

Which one are you asking for? BSM or BSI? They are two different modules. BSI has fuses on them, but does complex work than BSM which is in engine bay.

Find out which of them you want and send me the Lion's VIN, to see if I can get the part number for you.

So i took you advise and do some swapping and wire tapping
I found that when i connect the front wiring to the rear abs sensor it was not sensing anything and when i connected the front abs sensor to the rear wiring and i got thw signal so that it means my rear wiring are fine and that my reluctor ring or abs sensor is faulty or even maybe the distance between the ring and sensor is wrong , what do you suggest i check now?
I assume its the distance of the ring but how i fix that?

***NEW: i finally found something that is making sense of all this, so i now tested it when the car was not started, jacked up the car spin the wheels and it shows data on the diagnostics tool. SO, the problem would be STARTING the car, i assume that it over-voltage that is causing this problem but i am not sure if it is caused by over-voltage, my voltage to ABS control unit is 16-17 Volts, While when the car is Started and running the diagnostics show that my Voltage to control unit is 20.2 Volts , i wonder if this is normal. and this problem sync with a minor problem that is already had for some time that is the fuel pump gauge is not measuring well when the car is started and running( when i used the diag tool i see 3 Readings that is FUEL LEVEL MEASURED. AVERAGE FUEL LEVEL AND FUEL LEVEL DISPLAYED. when the car is NOT started the readings of FUEL LEVEL MEASURED is fine but when the car is started the FUEL LEVEL MEASURES spike up another 15 liters or so causing my speedometer to show an incorrect fuel level , i think this is related , what do you think caused this problem.

Thank you in advance, hope to receive your reply soon.
The last live test I did on a CAN-bus lion ABS (407), I got 13-15 volts while in motion.

Anyway, the swap test you did ruled out the connection, ABS pump/ECU as the culprit. So what left are the sensors and reluctor rings.

To rule out the sensors, you need to test those sensors on another 206, if possible, one with multiplexing electrics (Besides most phase II 206 have ABS, unlike the phase 1). You will need to find a drivable 206 at a workshop that you can swap in your rear ABS sensors, drive and check the readings while in motion. It has to be 206 that the ABS works. Quite challenging, but it will help narrow it down for you.

CircleOfWilis:
thank u, a bit technical for me ...let me digest the questions pls..I will try to provide the answers to the best of my understanding
Let me break it down for you then.

1. I asked if your Peugeot 406 wad converted from Right Hand drive to Left hand drive. Because most lions converted in such manners do have electrical issues,,because of wrong connections that do happen during the conversions. If you don't know the true factor driving position of your 406, send me your VIN to check up your factory driving position and get back to you. The VIN is 17 digit numbers stamped below your windscreen and few places in the engine bay. It will start with VF38.... And it must be 17 digits.

2. Peugeot 406s have series or phases, otherwise known as D8 & D9. D8 were produced from 1995-1998, while D9 were produced from 1999-2008+). Knowing your phase will help me know your 406 wiring systems and advice to give. The production year is written on all your door glasses. Under the glasses, you will see some figures written. The last line with figure that ended with something like ....9 is your production year, which means 1999 in this instance. I can get it from your VIN as well or something close.

3. If water find its way under the rug where the driver rest his foot under the pedals, there are datawires (wiring sockets) under there that can give symptoms you explained if they are rusted pr water are in them. The same way if your 406 has 6 cd loader in the boot or amplifier mounted in right side of the boot, if water goes in there and soak the connector of the cd loader or amplifier, you will get similar symptoms.

4. The production year of your 406 will tell me if the cause of the non working of your speedometer is likely faulty Transducer or Vehicle speed sensor mounted on gearbox, faulty interface box behind glove box or faulty ABS.

5. Most times, when Radio cd lense player becomes dirty, they stop reading or playing cds. But when you clean the lense, they start playing cds well again.

That's what I meant in my earlier post.

My people may una help me...I bought a tokunbo Peugeot 406 when I noticed the following:

1. A.C runs without control....it does not go off ,does not reduce or increase even if I press the fan to number 4, it runs continuesly until I switch of the ignition..
The temperature control does not go up or down ..it stays at 14"c

2. Only the fm works, the CD player on the radio does not work

3. the dash board lite comes on goes intermittently even while driving at nite

4. The Speedometer does not work , always at zero

I took it to the so called best Peugeot electrician at bauchi where I reside...the guy just worsened the whole tin , my break life has stopped showing now..
Ok. You bought a foreign used/tokunbo Peugeot 406? You entered a dealer stand, inspected & test drove the 406, saw or observed all the issues you listed above, still bought th car? Or was it a different scenario?

1. Is the Lion converted from RHD - LHD? Because some of the issue you listed looked like a wrong electrical connection in the lion.

2. What series of 406? D8 or D9? Does it have BSI unit or not? What's the production year? Can you post the VIN?

3. Did the electrician checked the datawire under the drivers foot mat, rear cd loader connector or amplifier connector for water ingres?

5. The production year of the 406 will determine if the culprit that makes your speedometer not to work is faulty transducer/vehicle speed sensor, interface box behind glove box or ABS issue.

6. As for your headunit/radio playing only FM, pull out the head unit and clean the lense. The CD will start playing, likely.

i will try to make that happen maybe get a long wire to connect the pins. but in the meantime i really have to figure out what went wrong.

i was unable to accept the fact that the system could sense if the sensor were open circuit but not sense the speed.( when i removed the sensors, i would get a permanent fault that is open circuit or short circuit, but when i plug in the sensors i would always get coherence.)
Usually, a weak or failing ABS wheel sensor would sense the rotation of wheel, but at less speed than the other wheel report. They most times give 0km/h when the ring reluctor is absent or teeth covered, broken or rusted out.

It starts first by reporting intermittent fault before changing to permanent fault, unless the sensor is damaged or wire broken.

Question now is, are you really sure the sensor is very close enough to the reluctor ring to sense its rotation? This was the reason I asked if the axle was exactly same type for the cub that was removed. Otherwise, I would suggest you get a used ABS rear sensor and swapped in and see if it signals vehicle speed, to rule out the new sensors.

Front and rear abs sensor are not the same so swapping wouldn't be an option , sorry

by the way, When interpreting with PP2000 i only get one permanent fault that is coherence rear abs sensor

any other ways i can work this out? i have tried many was to make it work but i am already about to give up and just gonna live without ABS, i can live without ABS but i cant live with the dash light shining STOP * STOP * STOP * all the time when i'm driving.

***INFO: when my speedo speed is 50 KPH, my abs sensor speed would only be 25 KPH it does increase according to speed but not actual speed, althought i suppose that if four sensors are sending data the abs system would still work because they are the same speed ***
I was referring to the sensor connectors, that is, if the rear sensor wires would be long enough to come to the front. But from the images you posted, the connectors look different.

Any form of braking issue in 206 with CAN-bus will give the STOP warning sign, even if its faulty handbrake switch.

If you dont mind i can tell you the details of what i have done since day one.

My old TU3 's gearbox went dead so i decided to just buy an halfcut TU5 to replace the whole thing since its just the same price
I gave my car to a mechanic to swap out everything

To answer your question
- i have swapped the BSI ,engine ECU, wiring ABS pump , And most wiring except internel wiring becuz some electrical system are not same such as the rear wiper washer and such
-the problem went out the first day i got the car because it was a halfcut and was left off for few year unused so we would expect it to have some issues at first but all lights went off except the abs light.
-both are full multiplexing as i would expect becuz donor car was an 2003 and original was a year 2006
-i couldnt give an exact answer whether the axle was the same one because it was give by the dealer but i assume it was the right one
Things i have done:
-buy new sensor and replace, same with what was on the axle before that
-problem was not solved so i check the reluctor ring and cleaned it (no dents ,no chips, no crack, just bright shining metal.)
-then i check the wiring to know that if there was any broken wire in the middle but was fine checked connectivity from the abs pump connector and also checked if the was AC(alternating current)~~ power to the abs pump connector, wiring seems fine.
Thats all i can give
Thans for you concern and i look forward to receive you reply.

***EDIT: you mention that VAN-BUS /CAN-BUS problem so i went on and look out for the car's BSM and found that the BSM unit was my original unit not the donor's any chance this might has caused the problem?***
Since both are multiplexing / CAN-bus, the connections to the BSM would be the same.

However, BSI unit in Multiplexing Lions uses ABS wheel sensors signals to interpret and controls the speedometer (most of them). If that is the case, you should get intermittent fail on Vehicle speed sensor on BSI unit fail reading.

Try this. Can you swap the connectors of the wheels sensors (front to rear and rear to front)? Even if you connect only one rear wheel sensor to front wheel connector from ABS pump side and disconnect the rest. Then do another parameter measurement while in motion and see if the km changes on the front wheel while connected to the rear wheel?

Hello house, I read on a thread about a guy who changed his tire and his vehicle refused to start.

I will be willing to give you a recommended PSI for you vehicle to ease your safety and that of other road users.

Before you go to that "Kazeem vulcanizer" and he will tell you to put 45 psi
.

Year:
Make:
Model:

Have a safe trip.
There is something in Auto Industry called Specifications which contradicts the above post and title of this thread.

We have Peugeot 406s produced in 2001. They are all have different recommended Tyre sizes and Tyre pressures. Some came with Steel wheels, while some have Alloy wheels from factory. Some have R15, while some have R16. Some have size 195/65, some 205/60 and some 205/55. The same way they all have different recommended Tyre psi. The same goes with Peugeot 407, 607, etc.

Each Peugeot car has recommended wheel sizes, Tyre sizes and psi stamped on each. That is the way to go, for me. Pay attention to your car to learn this things, because not all free information found online serves one.

Car TalkRe: Peugeot: Cars With Attitude! by Ikenna351(op):
Every now and then, people ask me "How are you doing it? How come your Lions serve you so well? What's the secret? What could be wrong with this picture you are not telling us? How can I enjoy my Lions like you do? Etc.

I always answer with three words, "Love your Lion!". Well, some do find it uncomfortable when i say those words, by going Religious immediately that " Thou Shall Not Love Material Things", and all that. Well, maybe that has been included in the commandment or maybe not. Some would say they "Like" or love their Lions, but still get different results from their Peugeot car ownerships from results I get from mine. They maybe right. Lets look at it.

Love, Hate & Indifference (indifferent) are feelings people give out towards someone or something. When you say out loud you love something, it doesn't actually mean you love that person or thing, depending on how you say it. Its your attitude towards that person or thing that determines truly whether you love or not. Because your feelings determines your actions most times, not your thoughts. You might think you love something, but your feelings about that thing shows indifference or hate. Remember, its your feelings that matters most since it controls your actions, most of the times. Your feelings are your believes, call it faith. So when you really love your Peugeot Car, your attitude towards the Lion is what keeps the lion in good shape that will enable the Lion to serve you and keep you happy, not that you think you love him.

When you love something, what do you do? You try to protect, sometimes over protect, right? Same thing that happens when you love your Lion. You love your Lion when you don't open your bonnet and pressure wash your engine with water when its stamped on your engine bay or written in the Lions owners manual "Thou Shall not Wash Peugeot engine bays with pressured water". You love your Lion when you don't try to cut corners to make your Lion work. To put it in another way, you don't stay in a relationship to make it work. Rather, you flow in it, you live it. The moment you try to make "Love" work, it becomes work, a burden, a bondage. Same way, you don't make your lion work, you love the Lion and flow in it. When Peugeot recommends part A for your Lion and you go ahead using -A part to run the Lion because you want the Lion to work. That is "Indifference", not Love. When its recommended you change your Peugeot Timing belt at certain mileage or years of running, but you chose to keep the Lion running till the belt breaks. That's not Love either, but being indifferent or acting indifferent towards the Lion, no matter how much you say out loud, "I love my Lion".

You might think you love your Lion, when actually you hate the Lion. What do you think you are doing when everytime you are complaining of how every negative thing you heard or read about Lions before you switched to Peugeot brand is true? Somewhere inside your heart, you still have that fear that you made the wrong choice to switch to or acquire your Lion. So what you constantly do is expect something bad to happen to the lion so that you satisfy that desire that "They told me so, they warned me what I was getting myself into, So they were right, My other brand of cars before were serving me well, I never experienced this disappointment in my previous other brand of cars, What next will fail again" etc. So what you do in this instance when you hate your lion is "You doom Your Lion!". When you expect negatives in a relationship, it becomes a misery or you doom the relationship. Likewise, you do the same thing to your Lion. Don't expect anything else because you get back what you give. Its a powerful natural law you cannot do anything about it. So its either you use the law to your advantage or.... you know the rest.

How Do I Love My Lion? The right question, for those interested anyway. If you find yourself among those that actually hate their Loins without knowing it, first thing I would suggest is to let go of those negative thoughts you have about your Lion. Cleanse your mind. Forget all the fears you have built inside your subconscious mind that repels positivity from your Lion, which you don't see even when its staring at you every moment you are inside the Lion. Start creating or writing a history from this moment. Start asking yourself, what is that good thing this Lion has been given you that you don't pay attention to?

The same goes with those that are indifferent to their Lions. Think about it for a moment: You travel or go out with your Lion everyday and comes home safe and sound and you never wondered why that is so? You think you are more religious than others that didn't make it home? Every time you are on highway, your Lion handles so well that you never felt unsafe till you get home, but you jumped out of the car and walked away as if, "What's the big deal?". Really? The few times you drove out with your Lion and get to your final destinations without the Lion coughing, did you just walked away and behaved it was nothing or felt in your heart ,at least, a little appreciation? Or you simply take your Lion as some pieces of metals? These are the thoughts you need to get rid of.

Take out time to treat your Lion. Yes, treat the Lion. Wash your Lion sometimes by yourself . Clean the interior or polish the leathers yourself. All these things will make you appreciate your Lion. The same way you feel after you treat your woman or man in your life.

Loving your Lion will make you start paying attention to the Lion, the do's and donts of the Lion. When you start paying attention or start loving your lion, you will realise that washing your Lion under sunlight, washing the lions body with domestic detergents or wiping the lions body with wet rag are not good for the Lions body paint. The same way you will start paying attention to engine oil that goes in, same as the transmission oils. Same way you would know when brake pads are due for replacement without waiting for the brake discs to damage before changing the worn out pads. Same way you would know that using a Lion for more than two years without changing or replacing the brake fluid is not good for the Lions braking system.

Mr. A and Mr. B bought brand new Lions same day. Two years later, Mr. A Lion looked like he just drove him out of show room, while Mr. B Lion looked like a 20 year old rickety that deserved to be in junkyard. Difference between the two men are, one loved his Lion, while the other hated or was indifferent to his Lion. So which group do you want to belong to from this moment? The choice and decision is yours to make, because the responsibility to enjoy Peugeot car ownership rest on you. Happy Sunday everyone.

wonder if anyone can help me with my Peugeot 206

to keep it simple

I have an old peugeot 206 1.4, fitted with a 1.6 engine from 206cc, fitted with new axle too

now i am having abs problem

Rear right and left coherence, live data shows 0 kph.

What i have done:
- Check wire Harness-OK( Good from abs sensor to abs pump)
- Change New ABS Sensors -DONE
- reluctor Ring- Checked( looks New)
When you removed TU3 engine and mounted TU5, were both injection system using Motorized Throttle Body? If not, it means you swapped the engine wiring harness? Was the 1.6 litre engine TU5JP or TU5JP4? If you swapped the wiring harness, were both (donor and current Lions) Non-multiplexing or full multiplexing?

When did you observe the ABS ECU stopped receiving feedback from the rear wheels? Immediately after you swapped the engine or replace the rear axle?

Have you confirmed if the Peugeot part numbers of 5-door 206 Rear Right & Left ABS wheel sensors are the same with 3-door 206 cc? Did you replace with exact rear axle?

If you swapped in a TU5 engine wiring harness, then you swapped in the BSI kit, right? VAN-bus BSI unit and CAN-bus BSI unit are not the same, same as the car electrical connections, etc.

If those rings on the wheels are intact and the new good ABS sensors are mounted close enough to sense the rings and the connection between the Wheel sensors to the ABS pump/module are in tact, with the right wiring & control modules, then the ABS ECU should receive live signals from the rear wheel sensors as the wheel rotates.

But the first question to answer is, when did you observe the ABS issue? That will answer the rest of the questions I asked above and get the issue resolved.

3 days ago, I drove to a Petrol station (Oando fuel station at Gudu, Abuja), about 5 people came and were complimenting and admiring this my Lion that I was so happy that before I drove out of the station, I stepped back and took the shot of the Lion, my Peugeot 406 V6 stick. I am proud of my Lions and love them.

Hello everyone? I had a 406 with EW10 engine but it crashed terribly. I want to get another one. So far, I've seen a very neat prestige 406 but it uses an XU10 engine. How reliable is this engine variant?
XU10 Peugeot engines are reliable and durable as the EW10J4 that succeeded it. However, XU10 is 134 horsepower, while EW10J4 engine is 138 horsepower. Parts or components that made up both engines are completely different.

please oga ikenna what's your advice on buying 2009-2010 Peugeot 407, I've seen many ppl complain of Peugeot but I'm still a fan of a lion, but instead buying and regret it, I'm thinking of buying Toyota spider 2010 model.pls advice me on how reliable a 407 Peugeot would be.
I always tell people, whatever you are so happy to have or do and at the same time afraid to go for or do, that's where your abundant happiness lies, go for it. Because its ok to be afraid. Jesus Christ was afraid to go through the pains of the crucifixion which was why he asked for it to be passed over (the soul is ready, but the body is weak), but he conquered the fear by going ahead with it. Look at what it got Him.

Just as its written, Devil will use fear to discourage you from saying "Yes" to good life, by using people around you, friends, even loved ones to instill fear in you or discourage you from your heart desire. The choice is left for you to live your life for another mans choices or make your choice in life. We are all here on this planet for different purposes and to lead those lives. If you don't trust the you inside you, you live a miserable live.

Peugeot 407 is a nice reliable and durable Lion. The 2010 model of Peugeot 407 has DVD player that can be watched on the big Navigation screen on the dashboard, among other things.

If you are buying a 407, make sure its a factory Left Hand Drive one, and not a RHD converted one. People that complain about Lions abuse their electrical systems and instead of taking the blame and responsibility, they shift it to the lion. That's human nature, always shifting blames for. Yet their fellow human beings are enjoying the same thing they are complaining about. Don't tamper with the factory cooling system and general electrics of the lion if you decide to get one. Avoid driving position converted ones because of electrical issues they suffer from overtime. When you find one, I can help you confirm if its factory LHD or converted RHD. All I need is the VIN.

You will find more explanations on Peugeot 407 in my previous posts.

The decision to be happy lies in your hands. If you give the world the permission or power to decide your happiness for you, then you know the rest.
