Scholes was 34 then - a shadow of his former self. Alex Ferguson was silly to have started him in Moscow to be honest against the powerful Chelsea midfield trifecta.

Makelele, Ballack & Lampard taught Fergie a lesson in that second half. United were on the ropes for most of that half with Drogba hitting the post and Chelsea getting all the big chances.
