Roland17:One of them should be MOTM |
codedguy1:And that’s because we don’t have the talents to unlock teams that sit back. This is when McFred get exposed for their lack of talents. |
chrisley024:I agree with you. We shouldn’t be playing like Burnley against our city rivals. |
olabode89:He’s a bästard at passing the ball but he must have won the ball like 200 times today. |
Fred and McTominay have done so well..... They might not be good passers or good at transitioning the ball but they have done everything to tackle, disrupt, intercept City’s flow. |
nitrogen:We are better off without him. He’s had about 6 chances to shoot tonight and he chose to pass or dribble instead. |
Beorn:The Queen would have buried that chance & she’s 94 years of age. |
Martial missed a sitter..... What a liability! |
Rashford hesitating to shoot and trying to dribble every time is costing this team. That was a good chance to score there and he chose to dribble. |
nitrogen:Useless. The goal he scored does not nullify his uselessness in the last 7 seasons. |
Mr Burger’s goal was sumptuous. Shaw is justifying his £195,000 per week wage. |
BARAJ92:In those games, the opposition didn’t leave so much gap behind trying to get the equalizer. That’s the difference. I am not saying Pogba has been excellent in every game he’s played, I am saying this particular game would have suited Pogba because of the high risk Guardiola is taking to get back into the game. |
If United have forwards and midfielders that can pass, they would be 4 goals up in this game. It’s a shame Pogba wasn’t fit for this game. The entire midfield can’t pass the ball accurately. I am wondering what the trident of Rooney, Ronaldo & Tevez would have done to Man City by now with all the gaps City are leaving behind to press. United need to scrap this team and start all over again. |
Fred & McTominay bossing this so far. They excel in games like this and play absolute shit against bottom sides. |
LostMyZeal:Football isn’t staged - Klopp had the same kind of meltdown in his last year at Dortmund. They were in relegation in the first half of the season. |
How’s Shaw not scoring that?? What a burger of a man - useless! That is a better chance than Bruno’s PENALTY. We should be 2 goals up. |
kushercain:It’s a mismatch.... KDB has Gundogan, Bruno has Fred. |
For fück’s sake, there’s more quality in City’s bench than Man Utd’s first XI. Some Glazer apologists would still have you believe United have spent money. What money when United’s bench is filled with academy boys who still wear diapers.
|
Leicester go 2nd. Ole faces a ruthless City side tomorrow. Olesexuals in the mud. Finishing 2nd is suddenly under threat after the PE teacher drew games he should be winning. |
patrickmuf:Says the idiot who didn’t know City’s academy has been more successful than United’s overhyped babies. patrickmuf:You are a capital idiot. Basic communication etiquette with a tramp like you? You have to earn that right from me - and I judge people by their intelligence quotient. Yours is so poor to even warrant to be given any sort of basic etiquette. |
patrickmuf:Your infantile argument is laughable. Greenwood shouldn’t have been promoted so soon, that’s the point. When Foden was Greenwood’s age, he was nowhere near City’s senior team. Greenwood has quality, of course. However, thrusting him into the senior team too soon is going to cause another Macheda, Januzaj, James Wilson. It’s too easy for United’s academy products to get into the senior team - that should worry you. patrickmuf:They have played 5 FA Youth Cup finals in the last 6 years - including a victory in 19/20 season. United haven’t played in a final since Pogba and Ravel Morrison won the Cup in 2010/11. That’s how bad things have been for United’s academy. The City babies also won the last 2 editions of the U18 Premier League cup while your own boys have been in a deep slumber. You need to start paying attention to the conveyor belt that is producing these rookies before asking a stupid question what the EDS has achieved. patrickmuf:You don’t know what you are talking about. You are comparing Jesus & Torres to Greenwood? How many goals has Greenwood scored for 3 Lions? How many has Jesus & Torres scored for their respective countries? Are you people so ignorant of what’s happening around you that makes you spew opata? patrickmuf:More nonsense as usual. Even if you remove VVD, Dias and Laporte from City due to injury, Fernandinho and Nathan Ake would fill that role with class and not drop down to 7th. They also have Eric Garcia who is already capped for Spain. They have a monstrous squad! patrickmuf:You can’t have a terrible defence and attack with vigor. Football is a system. It’s the defensive base that allows midfielders to bomb forward knowing they have a strong defence to thwart off any surprise counter attacks. Besides, Liverpool’s problems are much more than VVD’s absence. Klopp has had them running 200mph for the last 3 seasons - there was always going to be a meltdown season especially with the COVID-effect that has forced most teams to play 3 times a week. Klopp didn’t adapt to the new climate. Pep did by signing more players, Pep adapted by reducing their PPDA(passes allowed per defensive action) & Pep reduced other energy consuming football metrics. Klopp still had his team playing like nothing was missing. The meltdown was inevitable. patrickmuf:You can’t possibly be comfortable and present such puerile and infantile points. Do better, kid. |
Uniquisite:They will do extremely well against City in curtailing or stopping their intricate passes. The biggest challenge with McFred is what they do with the ball after winning it. This seems to be their biggest weakness. Fred’s use of the ball is horrendous but he’s excellent at winning them. Ole’s tactical acumen will be to sit back, hope McFred wins the ball in a moment when City have camped in United’s half and then launch a counterattack. If Fred makes use of the ball very well like he did in the same fixture last season, United could get a draw or even win. Besides, don’t forget it’s a derby game. Form flies out of the window in such games because a lot of other factors are in play. |
patrickmuf:What difference does that make? Put United’s own in dollars or naira & it won’t amount to the aforementioned list. patrickmuf:And there lies the point. City have had a better academy system(since their new owners arrived) known as Elite Development Squad and yet only Foden could make the leap from the academy to their senior team. United, however, have already pushed low quality youths to their senior team to fill up the quota. We have Rashford, Tuanzebe, McTominay, Greenwood, Amad, Shoretire, etc. None of these players except Rashford would make City’s squad. When Pep arrived at City, all we kept hearing was that he was going to take their academy players to the next level like he did at Barca. It’s been almost 5 years and Foden is the only academy product he’s developed in that period. Pep buys finished products unlike the rotten system United have - promoting low quality graduates to fill in the ‘homegrown’ quota. patrickmuf:Liverpool also invested in a quality starting XI. Trent Alexander Arnold is the only academy graduate in their senior team. United have 6 or 7 of those in theirs of which only one(Rashford) is quality. And you can see that Liverpool’s strategy proved to be unsustainable when an injury to Van Dijk alone destroyed their ambition as they fell from 1st position to 7th. If they had a monster squad like City’s where every centre half cost more than £50m, they wouldn’t be in their present predicament. You have proven my point by citing Liverpool and you failed to show me a United bench in a PL game that was as rich in quality as the one I listed. You missed a huge opportunity to be $100 richer this morning. What a chance!!! |
patrickmuf:On Saturday when City played West Ham, this was their bench..... Sterling $68m Jesus $38m Steffen $10m Laporte $79m Rodrigo $87m Bernardo $60m Mendy $72m Cancelo $84m If you can show/tell me anytime under Woodward we have had such a powerful bench while playing against a PL team, I owe you $100. BARAJ92:He bailed us out against Burnley & Fulham. |
De Gea will miss 6 PL games as he’s gone back to Spain to be with his partner. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. |
BARAJ92:I guess we will never know. However, it’s always a plus to have another creative player on the pitch. Do you know why City have been so successful, it’s because they could leave anyone out and the replacement would not drop their quality. KDB has been injured for most parts of the season and Gundogan wore his boots with perfection. Stones is injured? No problem, we would put Dias and Laporte in there. Aguero and Jesus are injured? No issues, we would put Ferran Torres there and flank him with Sterling and Mahrez. If you remove Pogba from United, there’s no replacement. It’s just Bruno and Rashford carrying the team. This is why I keep saying the Glazers have not spent enough. You need 22 quality players to outrightly win the PL. |
CapitalCee:He was brought in to save money. Woodward is a genius. He knew the fans love Ole(a club legend). He knew a lot of United fans would struggle to separate Ole(the player) from Ole(the manager). Roman got rid of Lampard - no excuses. That’s one owner that demands instant success minus emotions. Some United fans are still deluded that Ole would replicate the achievements of Pep@Barca or Zidane@Madrid. This PE teacher said ”When you play Man City in the Carabao Cup and they put their strongest team out you're going places.” A sensible board should have sacked him immediately after that game. |
1 shot on target against Palace? Jehovah Jireh |
CapitalCee:He coaches nothing- it’s just Bruno Fernandes & vibes. Individual brilliance has bailed him out in most of those games and some of those dodgy penalties United got in tight games. |
nitrogen:The moment Cavani went off, they started putting crosses in. I have never seen such cluelessness in my 20 years of supporting United. It’s almost as if they haven’t met each other before tonight’s game. You can only point at the manager. Even if we don’t have the same quality as Man City, the team rolled out today should be beating Palace. When Wolves equalized last night, I saw hunger, vigor and high intensity from City players to turn a potential 1 point into 3 points. United were playing like they were already 6 goals up and they couldn’t be bothered to exert more energy. That component is the manager’s fault. Ole will never win a trophy. |
nitrogen:Have they renewed his contract yet? ![]() |
