bluespice:no we can't. . . . . .japan & co have a system in place - strong independent institutions (electoral body, police, judiciary etc) we haven't even started work on these. . . .so NO ,we can't 'pull a japan' on the MTFs forgive my french. . . . . unfortunately |
The solution is state/local govt police . |
ThiefOfHearts:Obviously. . . .she's not as intelligent as we had thought. Yoruba,Hausa or igbo name doesn't automatically identify a Nigerian . . . .duh ! ![]() |

Wonders shall never end. I just read the Progressive People's Alliance - PPA,the party owned by Orji Uzor Kalu and partially funded by the good people of Abia state. . . . . . has two factions !! One loyal to Orji & the other to God knows who. Why is there so much rubbish going on with Nigeria's political parties?? Faction here & there !!! Na wa o !! |
My advice (as of early 2008): LOCAL FLIGHTS ; VIRGIN,ARIK INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS: STICK WITH THE INT'L CARRIERS they cost more but its worth it . I had a nasty experience in 2006 with Bellview from Accra,I felt so hurt I wrote a letter of complaint;to show how useless they are,not even an acknowledgement , some colleagues also wrote them after similar wishy washy service;no response. Thats when I made up my mind they are beyond useless. Never let them deceive u with low fares, its just not worth it !! |
hollandis:hollandis, What did david jang tell her?? Pls post reference ,thanks ![]() |
Hi Guys, Not a bad draw; Group E LIVERPOOL Lyon Fiorentina Debrecen (Hungary) It could have been worse, one could have had Barca or one of those bad boys .So we need to take each game as it comes,I'm confident we'll top the group so we can have a favourable knock out leg. I partially see reason with crude oil : Did the man make mistakes = YES ![]() Should he suffer for the mistakes = ABSOLUTELY ![]() Should the mistakes wipe away any good he has ever done = CERTAINLY NOT Like someone once said, the reason 'Abacha's corruptly acquired money' became 'Abacha Loot' was because the man died. . . . . I doubt if he stole a fraction of IBB's 'corruptly acquired money'. ![]() In essence, its not the thief that gets punished, but he who gets caught . . . , . John 8: 7 : "So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her" Make una free the man jo ! ![]() |
To be candid, avoid frying and all our naija carbs (tuwo, eba, amala, starch, semo, iyan, lafun etc) ![]() |
I feel sorry for the man as well. I hope he gets out quickly & learns from it all, whether we like it or not his bank provided employment/business for tens of thousands of Nigerians ![]() |
Akingbola has been replaced as the head of CIBN LAGOS (AFP) – The umbrella body of Nigerian bankers, the CIBN, announced Thursday that it had replaced its president, who was recently sacked by the country's central bank for running his own bank into insolvency. |

Beaf:this is where people need to open their minds. . . the way lagos is going, the internally generated revenue will surpass the monthly allocation,so stop deceiving urself. Its the states that have no economic activity that rely on the 'Niger Delta'. All over the world oil producing countries are diversifying their economy at a very fast pace-Dubai,qatar etc,so if u feel lagos will collapse once the oil dries up u have another thing coming. This is not Borno or Zamfara. Even kano can survive w/out monthly allocation,if they can rein in on fudamentalists and erase corruption in the name of Sharia. I repeat ECONOMIC ACTIVITY drives an economy ,not necessarily natural resources. If u're from ND ,pls tell your governors to wake up to this fact. I live you with Federal monthly allocation for July 2009 U'll see total allocation to Lagos('Niger Delta Money' +VAT) is N5 Billion Internally generated Rev is reported to have hit ] 14 billion So the earlier u wake up from your illusions the better |
@Deep Sight nice try, Its refreshing to have some deep logical discussion devoid of curses, insults & innuendos. ![]() I'll be patiently waiting for your update. . . . . .searching for my o'level further maths textbooks ![]() |
